Is using Police logo an infringement ? Anyone ? I believe it is a breach of the law.

Else, logically speaking anyone can nilly willy use whatever logo takes their fancy, even insignia of military or royalty for example, to suit their purpose or agenda. Surely that can't be right?

It is a misrepresentation as it's giving out the impression (wrongly) that they are part of the MET Police team searching for Madeleine, which they are not. Their private search or their private website has nothing to do with MET. The Police is an independent government body not alliance to any private entity - especially parents of a missing child not exonerated by any Court of Law. Surely that is fundamental common knowledge you'd expect a pair of doctors to know.

But, as usual that arrogant pair is brazen beyond words.

I'm surprised they did not consult their in-house lawyer about it.

Maybe someone could point that out to the MET, or more particularly to Redwood.

It's odd I would say for the Webmaster not to give any name, if only a pseudonym.

Makes you wonder.

If KM was the Webmaster should would be entitled to payment for her work.

How much? Maybe £100K per annum would be reasonable for a high profile website. She would be entitled to that.

Looks like they are only linking to the police before entering their page, so that they do not have to spend any money! Keeps their costs down a bit, pass it on to the tax payers! Especially seeing as they have no cash coming in anymore.

I wonder how much they made from the 0845 number? I never saw a payment for that in their accounts? It common knowledge that companies that have 0845 numbers take a slice of the call profits.
