MOTHER SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT

Post by PeterMac on 07.12.13 12:09

The bit that needs to be emphasised is
David McLaughlin, defending, said the mother will be haunted by what happened forever.   Not laughing and setting up a Fund, then.
He said: 'She bears full responsibility – not a day goes by when she doesn’t think about what happened.     Not able to sleep soundly after five days, then
'Every morning she wakes up with a vision of her babies’ faces in the bath, a vision that will haunt her forever-more.'     Not just for 8 days, then
He added: 'She wants it to be known that she holds herself fully responsible for what occurred and she wants her toddler son to know, if ever that time should arise when he is older, that through her plea of guilty she accepts full responsibility for what occurred and no blame should be laid against him.' Which makes a change from "It was our Holiday too. If anything happened why would that be our fault ?"
She was handed a one-year prison sentence, suspended for two years, and a supervision order after pleading guilty to three counts of neglect.   No sign of Carter-Ruck, then.

What you point out is so true re. Kate's reaction versus this mothers genuine repentance.
I feel sympathy for this mother who has to live with the consequences for the rest of her life.

You are right. We could have felt sympathy and compassion toward the McCanns if they had done the decent thing.
But they didn't.

Tell THAT to the McCanns!

Remember:
Never leave your young child/children home alone, not even for a FEW minutes, regardless of whether they are sleeping or awake.
The risks and dangers are too great.

Tell THAT to the McCanns and the entire T7.

Who ALL left their kids 'home alone' to go out socialising.

So much for responsible parenting then.

I wonder why the defense did not bring up the "sentence" the McCanns received.

ETA:
I really feel for this mother, her life has been a complete opposite of the McCann's loaded with losses and problem iso numerous free chances and do-overs. I hope if the McCanns ever will be convicted they'll make them work in a shelter, or a refuge for battered women.

Is it just me?
I find it hard to believe that a 3-year old toddler is capable of running a bath, undress and put the twins into the bath one at a time, without panicking as when the first one that came into with the cold water would have cried or screamed. If the mum was drunk into a stupor how and when did she realise the accident?

There isnt any detail about the twins age nor how the 3-year old was able to recount to the Police?

All very strange to me I must say.

The report says that the twins were "newborn" so I'd guess at less than a month old.

There's a mention of the children's grandmother also living in the house. I wonder where she was at the time.

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
