Parents of schoolkids fight back - 2: Parents protest after headteacher says: "If your child doesn't attend Islam Day, they'll be branded a racist for life"

Hard to believe this one is true - but it is. It's wrong on so many different levels, it's hard to know where to begin:

http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/23/parents-fury-at-school-threatening-children-with-racism-claims-if-they-dont-attend-islam-workshop-4198482/

Extract:

"Distraught parents accused a primary school of trying to 'blackmail' them after they were told their children would be marked down for racial discrimination if they did not attend a workshop on Islam.

They were told the school's young children would be looking at religious artefacts on their visit - and threatened with being labeled as racists "throughout their school career" if they did not go.

A letter, written by the headmistress, said:

"Refusal to allow your child to attend this trip will result in a Racial Discrimination note being attached to your child's education record, which will remain on this file throughout their school career."

Hey Tony.  There is already another thread on this.  Fury and spitting feathers are two of many emotional reactions I can imagine, and I would continue to feel this passionately for a very long time.  A debate about the state of what is no longer 'Great' Britain (in my humble opinion) would be very interesting... but am not sure that this site is the right place... much as I might enjoy it?

As for where to begin, this I believe can only come from what remains of the truly British population showing some solidarity and forcing a reversal of this ridiculous type of 'pc' blackmail and lack a backbone in our polititians, etc.  Sadly, the only think I know of that brings forth this kind of solidarity amongst the British people is war... and that we don't need, not on our own soil.
