Re: Scotland Yard want joint investigation...just announced

Post by Mirage on 28.11.13 10:41

I hope I am wrong and that AR will amaze us all as a master stroke is revealed at the eleventh hour.

From where I am standing, I feel that eventuality has all the likelihood of the McCanns eating a figgy pudding in jail this Christmas. If you take the situation as it stands, you have to be a super-optimist and somewhat of a detective in your own right, to discern anything resembling a cogent plan from SY.

What investigation, where every arrow points at overwhelming evidence, does the team turn its back on that evidence and look elsewhere. In days gone by, when people were none the wiser, the police may have had the luxury of covertly setting a sprat to catch a mackerel. But the obvious lies/changes in the T9 statements, the towering impossibility of the McCann story, the Gaspar statements and the dog alerts are all in the public domain.

What investigation repeatedly states in such an obvious way that the main suspects are in the clear and updates the public on lack of progress? If they are playing a Miss Marple blinder, they are doing so in hobnail boots.

The Crimewatch programme was the last straw. The timeline changes. Tannerman killed off. Up pops Smithman to widen the impossible abduction time and/or other reasons to be unveiled at a later date. The McCanns dictate the recon shall be filmed in Spain and lo, it is done. The McCanns merely add the extra e-fits to their website's  own rogue's gallery and no one makes them take Tannerman down.
Then the Sunday Times reveals the suppression of e-fits. That means either SY didn't know and sat on their hands when they found out. Or it means SY did know and sat on their hands. Then off went the CW roadshow with confusing mix-and-match recons to Europe - that programme is finished IMO - anywhere but the damned country the crime took place in. Then complaints from Portuguese TV that they were refused the broadcast rights. HELLO! It's not so much smell a rat it's more being knocked over by a stampede of the bubonic plague-carrying variety.

The trouble is, this country is mired in degradation and filth of such gravity it is approaching biblical proportions. It reminds me increasingly of the degenerate Baal worshippers that had to be sorted out by Elijah before God took him to heaven in a whirlwind. I b***** wish I could join him after reading about that Watkins entity yesterday.

Frankly, and it gives me no pleasure to say this, we are a debauched society. There are police/placemen turning a blind eye for reasons best known to themselves and their maker  for this society not to implode at some point.

The biggest clue came yesterday when HH started with this joint investigation plea. WHAT?? Hasn't AR been bleating on for months about working closely with the Portuguese investigation team. Well, someone is lying then.

HH, as I understand it, is being required to clarify various matters vis-a-vis his Hillsborough evidence.
At least one MET officer is going to be prosecuted over the Plebgate farago.
Next up, matters concerning the 2008 notification to S Wales police re the Watkins threat to children to be investigated.

I conclude that the people who are supposed to be  upholding law and order and protecting citizens from crime would not recognise a scruple if they tripped over one in the street.

No. You did not imagine that imaginings beyond our initial imaginings were still possible.
Your post reminds me of the opening to a famous novel for some reason. Apologies to Daphne du Maurier:

Can't believe this is still going on - I had total faith in you Noddy a couple of weeks ago and hope to stay the same way.

Good post Mirage. The problem is, what can any of us actually do about it?
Thanks Clay.

What any of us can do about it? Well.

I suppose I am not optimistic. I think the latest HH proposal is throwing the ball back into the court of those I suspect are the real puppet masters. The underlings cannot contain the situation. HELP!

I look at things against the broad backdrop of EU control. I think you can see that playing out at the moment with regard to Cameron. It started a long while ago with Heath IMO.

The bottom line for me is that you are looking at a struggle against endemic evil. I have always been a pragmatist and eschewed literal interpretations of good and evil. However, as I enter my twilight years I do have the benefit of a lot of experience of human behaviour and every sinew in my body tells me that we are going down fast, picking up the sort of speed Alice did when she fell down the rabbit hole.

There is great greed in the world. That is the problem. And the centralisation of unaccountable power lies within a malevolent web. Look at the speed with which one EU minister has started with "the nasty country of Europe" rhetoric today.

When people become obsessed with themselves, their power, wealth and authority, they lose the basic human graces of empathy, compassion, caring and selfless service. Think Blair and his property portfolio.  Berlusconi and his sexual predilection for underage girls. Mugabee for his grandiose palace and private jets. It is not an edifying sight to watch the human spirit degenerate.

As the world's resources shrink, and populations grow, the more these types herd together. Mutual support systems guarantee their power and prestige, minions feed them lies to keep their status intact, celebrities are hauled aboard to add glitz and glamour and the whole charabanc becomes an end itself. When it is big enough and secure enough it points two insouciant fingers at the lower orders and carries on. This is the wake-up point for citizens. Unfortunately the "Wachet auf" brigade who have been awake and calling uselessly down from the watch towers for some considerable time, now hear faint cries of distress from the waking ones.

I can only call back, "I told you so but you just wouldn't listen.'

Cue: Elijah's whirlwind to take me off to heaven. I'm ready. I hereby pass the baton on to those who must sojourn here a little longer. Please don't drop it this time.
