Today, for the first time, the Sunday Express publishes extracts from the witness statement retired Irish businessman Martin Smith gave to detectives in Portugal.

Yep, more of the same.  The British press seems hellbent on taking rehashing to an artform of late. 

One sentence is worthy of note, namely, "Detectives from Scotland Yard’s Operation Grange have had over 2,400 calls and emails since the (Crimewatch) programme last Monday."

Only 2,400?  Shall we see if we can improve that measly total of votes for Gerry McCann? big grin
