It could be that:candyfloss wrote:Oh dear, tomorrows Daily Star..............'Maddie Suspects named' So just starting the thread in great anticipation of upcoming article after midnight....
* one or both of the soothing couple are named
or
* any number from 1 to 6 of the British freelance cleaners are named
or
* some brand new names are given to us.
One question not yet answered is the source of this information. I can't see that it can be anything else but authorised leaks by D,C.I. Andy Redwood. The indication is that he and his colleagues are dishing out these titbits about suspects like favours to one newspaper at a time. The purpose of this is as yet unclear.
If these leaks were unauthorised, Redwood would have said so, he would have told the public that they were unauthorised leaks, and he would have announced that he has initiated an enquiry into the source of those leaks.
Further, the various newspapers would not have published their stories without an effective guarantee from a member of Redwood's team that the information was both accurate and authorised.
What is also not clear is whether or not D.C.I. and his team actually want the public's help in tracing or finding out more about these suspects.
If that is their aim, then they have certainly disguised it well, as they have given the public no usable information to go on (so far).
D.C.I. Redwood's strategy may be to get front-page stories to highlight the successful efforts of his team. If that was the goal, he has succeeded in spades.
Surely we must now be coming to the end of the SY Review.
They either know something definite, or they don't.
If they know something definite, they will either tell us...
...or they won't

impossible
This can't be true: a tabloid publishing such a serious list of names. Unless we will get a rubbish list. Two arabs living in North Africa, a waiter in Cyprus, a cousin of Evils Presley's, etc.
If such a list is released, it will be released through a serious source.

If any of you is living in the UK right now, we hope you will go out in the middle of the night, buy a paper and tell us who are those suspets. A Railway station must get them very early in the morning.
What makes me hope that this could be true is the fact that the list (if there is one) is being releasing on a Tuesday, not on Friday night.

Re: Daily Star - 'Maddie Suspects named' PLUS article ....Gran's new plea
and here it is, online..with the title " MADDIE POLICE NAME PAEDOS "
THREE paedophiles thought to have been in Portugal
when Madeleine McCann vanished are on a list of suspects drawn up by
British police.
One is thought to have killed a girl in his native Switzerland two months after Madeleine disappeared.
Urs Hans von Aesch, 67,
suspected of poisoning and abusing Ylenia Lenhard, five, who resembled
Maddie, shot himself dead in 2007.
Interpol twice contacted Portuguese police about him but they did not act.
Officers from Scotland Yard’s
Operation Grange, who have spent two years reviewing the police probe,
say von Aesch is one of a number of “persons of interest” who should be
investigated.
They have established he had been living in Spain with his
wife. Border records show he re-entered Switzerland on July 10, 2007, in
a white van which he used to abduct Ylenia.
Her mother Charlotte said: “I am convinced that my little girl was not the only one.’’
Two known child abusers who
were in the Algarve at the time have not been eliminated from inquiries.
One of them is a Brit, Raymond Hewlett, 64, who was living just an
hour’s drive from where Madeleine vanished.
He died in 2010. The second, who is not British, has not been named.
Detectives are examining phone
traffic in the resort of Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007, when
three-year-old Madeleine disappeared.
Det Chief Supt Hamish Campbell, head
of Scotland Yard’s Homicide and Serious Crime Command, revealed the UK
team’s inquiries had unearthed “a lot of people who could be explored
further if only to be eliminated”.

Det Chief Supt Hamish Campbell, head of Scotland Yard’s Homicide and Serious Crime Command, revealed the UK
team’s inquiries...
So Hamish 'who can i stitch up next' Campbell didn't RETIRE after all according to the observant journo!
Still, you'd get more sense out of these two corpses than the BS in the T9 statements!
The T9 who were ACTUALLY there, as opposed to people who MIGHT have been there, that nobody SAW!
"The second, who is not British, has not been named."
Got it! It's Clint Eastward, the 'man with no name'!
"after watching the film 'a Fistful of dollars' that inspired the McCann 'fund' JT said 'yep, that is the guy that i probably saw carrying a child'
"not British and no name"
Andy Redwood and 'the team' will be spending the next three months in sunny California eliminating, or not, Mr Eastward from their inquiries.
The wider McCann family will ask Mr Redwood if they could accompany the 'team' so that they could personally interogate Mr Eastward.
They would pack their swimsuits ready for the trip, oh, i mean the 'search'!

Two known child abusers who were in the Algarve at the time have not been eliminated from inquiries.
One of them is a Brit, Raymond Hewlett, 64, who was living just an hour’s drive from where Madeleine vanished.
Textusa article November 2011...
I made note of some comments on blogs, some of which are now defunct, relating to the semen/saliva debate, as some people appeared to have inside knowledge.
Second comment on 14.2.10. “The problem with the case is the amount of support given by the very top of the British Government. They will ask for a review, not a re-opening of the case by the British Police. There is one DNA sample described by the FSS as allegedly matching a profile from another crime, but could not be pinned on a name. Once they have the authority to review the case, this will be attributed to Raymond Hewlett and the case will be solved” This second commentator seems to have had the gift of foresight! ………..

It would seem Andy and his merry men MISSED this little GEM!
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4285908/Inside-the-twisted-minds-of-the-Madeleine-McCann-child-snatchers.html
MADELEINE McCann was targeted from the moment she arrived at the resort where she was snatched — but her abductor was NOT a paedophile, a former top British cop believes.
Respected ... kidnap inspector Ian Horrocks
She was almost certainly taken by a childless couple, respected kidnap investigator Ian Horrocks decided after reviewing the case.
Ian is well qualified to review the case after a successful 30-year career in London’s Metropolitan Police.
He served as a senior investigating officer on homicide and for five years led one of Scotland Yard’s Kidnap and Specialist Investigations teams.
But Ian Horrocks believes Kate and Gerry, of Rothley, Leics, should be reinterviewed, along with others in their holiday group and other witnesses.
He added: "There are NO reliable forensics, there are NO apparent suspects. All that is left are witnesses. This is where the focus should be. It is almost five years since this terrible offence. But it is NOT too late."

Back to the old drawing board, Andy, my ol' son!

Oh dear, how very LUDICROUS, HURTFUL and UNHELPFUL that would be!

Personally, I think it's a bit premature criticizing the Met with regards the review. I don't think they're giving very much away hence these desperate and quite frankly pathetic stories appearing on a near-daily basis. I suspect the end of the review is going to be announced soon however.

Re: Daily Star - 'Maddie Suspects named' PLUS article ....Gran's new plea
Who was that again, asking why we were criticizing SY?? Can it be any more clear? I know they are not the only ones to blame, but I have no doubt that this is leaked on purpose. They have nothing, nothing at all on any one else than parents and tapas 7. Now they are trying their failure to exonerate our conning couple by throwing some names out there of dead people.
We predicted that years ago, didn't we?
What 'n country: a child neglecter becomes ambassador for missing children, and the "best" LE agency is not able to perform a decent review and seems as corrupt as any LE in a banana republic. . I feel for your guys there in Britain.

Scotland Yard have not yet said it was the tipsy gypsy gang leader...
...who stoie Madeleine to order for a wealthy North African family...
...and then told Raymond Hewlett about it at a drunken evening around a gypsy camp fire...
...which Hewlett kept a secret until, days from death in a German hospital...
...he wrote out a long letter, naming the gypsy gang leader, to his son Wayne - from whom he'd been estranged for over 20 years (because his son hated him due to his depraved sexual offences against young children)...
...and after his death, his letter somehow was entrusted to a 'mystery man'...

...and turned up on his doorstep and delivered the letter...
...where he read the letter...
...and later became distressed about its contents...
...and so burnt it...
...but some weeks or motnhs later, he contacted The Sun newspaper and told them about the contents of the letter...
...after which the McCanns' spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, was contacted...
...and said it was 'an important lead'...
...so important that on 1 September 2010 The Sunplaced this dramatic new story (and a photograph of Madeleine McCann) on its front page...
...despite the fact that if indeed Madeleine had been stolen by a tipsy gypsy (or one of his gang) between 9.11pm and 9.14pm on Thursday 3 May 2007...
...if Madeleine were still alive and in the hands of the wealthy North African family...
...then both the family and the gypsy gang leader would have been tipped off and no doubt made sure that, so far as possible, the police couldn't trace them...
...we do not know if Wayne Hewlett was able to remember the name of the gypsy gang leader after he'd burnt it...
...and even if he did, it appears he has not been traced either by the McCanns' private investgtion team...
...or by any police force...
...but D.C.I. Redwood and his officers could well surprise us...
