The interview was somethin' else.

Why is the German version getting the JW meets GM bit AND on GM's preferred side of the road ie opposite stairwell. Then JT comes up the street and sees the man with child crossing. It is then revealed that this was creche man as per our version.

The other thing of note was the great play of MO insisting on the check in place of KM and a lot of headshaking from KM who has jumped to her feet and casting looks of uncertainty around. MO is very insistent. He goes. She sits again, with the reluctant look still on face. I don't speak German but it wasn't hard to spot that there was a great emphasis on this exchange. All very weird.

This statement, consisting of five pages, each signed by me, is true to the best of my knowledge and belief and I make it knowing that, if it is tendered in evidence, I shall be liable to prosecution if I have willfully states in it anything I know to be false or do not believe to be true.
I was told that these questions originated from the rogatory letter sent by the Portuguese authorities. I am aware that my deposition is subject to the Portuguese Criminal Code in addition to British law.
When I left the street, I remember seeing Gerry on the other side of the same. I believe that there was some speculation in the press regarding the circumstances of this encounter. I REMEMBER THAT I CROSSED THE STREET TO TALK TO GERRY.

Rua Dr Agostino was about 10 – 15 meters to his right and the pathway leading to the front of the apartment blocks about 5 meters to his left.

HOW or WHY have the German re-con got it so WRONG?

Wilkins and McCann on opposite side of street to Tanner. (like DE/McCann 'mockumentary')

Door to kids room still on LEFT hand side, when in reality it is on the RIGHT hand side.

Madeleine bed sheets all screwed up in middle of bed, not all neat as in UK re-con.

Lights in kids room on when 'Kate runs to tapas.

WTF is going on?

Just managed to watch it. Why was the UK one not shown dubbed in German? The expense alone is staggering .

And this one was made at an OC resort, was it in PdL?

Am I imagining re UK CW, there was no shot of Gerry and Jez anywhere when Jane went on her check? Here there was and they decided to go with the side of the street where Jane might have passed unnoticed. Still think not in those flip flops.

And why was there a creepy man in the shadows in the alley between apartments and pool area, as the group were eating?

looked very melodramatic to me and the insinuation that MO was actively trying to get Kate not to check was puzzling.

as if she was not in the loop about something........

anyway I was struck by how dark and isolated it all looked, nowhere I would leave a young child .

very weird.

Coz whichever version of ummmmmmm err you get, it is all crap.

Tannerman is gone.

All the stuff about the door being open wider and the times.........were to fit in with Tannerman.

Given the stated checks and no Tannerman at 9.15, the door has got them bang to rights.

I think it has but....I am very tired. But it can now be called a trap-door !

Just watched the German version. I didn't expect it to be different to the Uk one, it would be interesting to know why. Different interpretations of the information? Aimed at a different audience?

The way i see it that is the plan,and maybe the same with MO,to instill some feeling of isolation/blame and get tounges moving.

Also maybe the same ploy used on monday with JT and 3 guests.

Redwood definitely used the a word here with ref to Smithman,,,,, could be M's abductor. Child there seemed not to be carried upright as in UK CW, more diagonally across his body.

and I don't get the man in the shadows at about 9.30 in the alleyway.

Made as a drama doc of McCanns version, so not very different in that respect to UK CW.

Tannerman gone and their statements are set in stone, I never heard AR mention translation errors in either film.

So as long as no Tannerman and the timings of checks are the same, they are trapped as far as I can see.

I disagree, either Wilkins CROSSED the street or he didn't!

J Wilkins OR G McCann IS 'lying'!

I heard that too, Karen...the interviewer asks what they'd tell Madeleine if they saw her again and GM replied they'd tell her 'how much we loved her'.

Earlier (didn't note time), asked how their lives are different without her, GM ends a sentence with 'it's not the same' and smiles.

Towards the end of their recorded interview, GM says when he checked the children it was 'the last time I saw her' and smirks.

Sheets pulled up and neat just corner turned down.

So presumeably she remade the bed and 'placed' Cuddle cat on pillow.

The constant in them all would have to be what we saw in UK and Germany: THE CHECKS.

They are set in concrete, statements and Kate's book based on the files.

In both, also in Dutch and Norwegian and one shown in Siberia, we would still see

Matt at 9.30

Kate at 10pm.

Jez and Gerry could be on whatever side of street.

THERE WAS NO ABDUCTOR AROUND AT 9.15.

SO THE DOOR CANT BE EXPLAINED.

The door to the children's room : there is no reason for it to be open wider than it was.
First stated to have been IMMEDIATELY noticeable by Gerry at 9.05.

When Maddie had not moved, the only explanation for its changed position.

G checked their room, no M.

Looked in children's room, Maddie lying in bed EXACTLY as they had left her at 8.30. Twins fast asleep and could not get out of travel cots if awake.

That is how they are trapped imo.

THE DOOR IS A FABRICATION TO FIT IN WITH STICKER BOOK TIMELINES AND TANNERMAN : BUT THERE IS NO REASON FOR IT TO BE OPEN WITHOUT TANNERMAN. IT WAS FIRST NOTICED BY GERRY, IMMEDIATELY UPON ENTERING 5A.

AND IT CAN'T BE THE WIND, BECAUSE THE WIND MADE THE DOOR SLAM SHUT WHEN KATE CHECKED.

The elimination of Tannerman has done it for them.

Hubris was always going to be his undoing .

And MO is the one who might well talk now if he has not done so already.

But if they have all been interviewed again, SY won't need to talk to any of them a second time.

Obviously, the German recon was made when it was still thought that the Tanner sighting was significant. Does this mean that the McCanns were not aware of SY's information regarding the tourist who could be Tannerman? Does this mean that SY does not tell them everything?
