My telly conked out, which was just as well

Had a very nice bottle of Chardonnay instead, peeking in on the comments on JH from time to time

OK: chins up, and we soldier on!

That is the papers wanting to sell papers.

It's also about manipulating public opinion. No surprise that the comments they've let through are mostly supportive of the McCanns

There are already massive contradictions in the various statements - in fact you could write a book on the contradictions the McCanns themselves have uttered. I suspect that with breathtaking arrogance all previous statements and timelines will be swept away as if to suggest the Portuguese didn't listen and there were translation problems and that THIS is the true version of events which leave Kate and Gerry holier than thou (well apart from the thorny issue of leaving the kids unattended in the first place).
Except the timelines and statements were upheld in the really truthful book, penned by the fair hand of Kate herself.  The PJ cannot be blamed for that.
And okayed by CR

Wasn't there already a suggestion of "lost in translation"?

To be honest there is not really any revelation in here, and for sure nothing that makes the parents look better. If anything worse: if all from tonight is true (and the discrepanties are already filling pages and pages then at least these pathetic parents have lied with all the teeth they have in their mouth.

So for me they stay pathetic parents, a conning couple, lying no goods etc etc

Isn’t it extraordinary that Scotland Yard is pursuing 4,920 lines of inquiry and, according to the investigation’s leader, Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood, its work has ‘significantly changed the accepted version of events’?
This can only mean the Portuguese police did a poor job.
Thats ridiculous. The dailymail knows exactly, who insisted on the Tanner-sighting (the McCanns), and they know also exactly, who doubted this sigthing very early (Amaral).

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
