This morning's posts are missing; the message is "they do not exist".  We were
discussing Joana Morais' blog / email post this morning about the time-frame of
6.45 -7.00 pm on the evening of 3 May.  We were also asking whether 'witnesses'
would include the Smith family, and Katharine Gaspar, amongst othere related
issues.

Could someone please say why these have been removed?  Most interesting.

Well, only that I came to the site (having been out all day) and the link in my
email to the posts from this morning (notifying more posts added) - came up with
the notice on the site "this post does not exist".  Very odd!  That's all I know but
it may be that if I go  back a page later it will be there in the merged posts as you
have suggested.  Thankyou!  I just wondered if it had been removed for a reason
(which I could possibly understand if it was .. as could be taken as controversial).
All very best and thank you for reply.

Timed to happen before (if) Gerry gives evidence.

It is all about spin and generating media pressure and drowning out the truth.
Whose spin though?  The Mccanns didn't produce this crimewatch nor timed its release as such.

It's the METs project!
This has been on stand-by since they failed to buy GA off. Was the press storm in April/May for the same reason?  It wasn't known when the case would be heard.

The question has to be asked:  what was going on in PdL which made the McCanns so sure they'd be 'saved?'
All those holiday snaps requested from genuine holiday makers, all that effort to align witness statements to the official story line, three successive governments toeing the line weren't for the benefit of the McCanns but for the main reason the McCanns were protected.
No doubt those in the know wished for slightly more intelligent 'victims'.
It seems though that for some people, what three successive governments not could achive, SY convinced them there finally is a real investigation. Real in spite of the fact the conning couple will not be investigated.

Interesting video here from ITV, showing one of the last videos of Madeleine, and Emma Murphy reporting.  She says...

'They have substantive fresh evidence that has allowed them to consider different theories about what happened'  (maybe not exact)

I thought the theory they were pursuing was she was abducted??  Abduction is abduction and means someone has removed her doesn't it? So different theories about what happened??

Hi All,
I'm another that reads every day but doesn't post much.

I would like to give my opinion on the recent developments.

The parents have looked really ill as of May this year. I don't think that things have been happening in their favour.
IMO They have been forced into the crimewatch style programme, lets face it they really couldn't refuse as it would not go down well with the investigation.

I personally can't wait to see how the programme  is presented.    They cant change the statements (that we have all read)
The backlash would cause a meltdown of the phones!

I remain optimistic that justice is about to happen for the little angel Madeleine Beth McCann.

Well I find the thought that SY are considering a fresh theory very positive.
Just as an aside, at the very start of the video where Madeleine is getting down from the table there is no sign of cuddlecat but the dolly Amelia carried around. Often when a new baby is expected then the toddler awaiting the birth of a sibling is given their own baby. Is that dolly maybe Madeleine's?

One thought though -  ALL phone records,  EVERY LAST ONE ?????   I do hope so    :fingerscrossed

Perhaps they are now seriously moving towards the position that Madeleine was NOT abducted (it's only taken them 6 years to get up to speed, bless 'em). Phone records, stroppy Pt Judges, looking at four countries (would that be Portugal, England, Scotland and Wales?) and about 41 people (ahem, needn't list them here but we know who they are and so do they).dance

'Fresh, substantive' evidence found by Madeleine cops

OPERATION GRANGE - Independent 4/10/13 SY Review Team says there's now *41* persons of interest, and they're trying with the help of Interpol to track mobile 'phones linked to 31 countries worldwide... *PLUS* A new Crimewatch TV appeal in FOUR countries - Page 15 Image_update_6ce8dba55fe1a175_1380835914_9j-4aaqsk Gerry and Kate McCann's daughter,

Kate and Gerry McCann are to make a significant television appeal in light of "fresh, substantive" material unearthed as part of a British police investigation into their daughter's disappearance.
The McCanns will appear live in the studio during an episode of BBC Crimewatch on Monday October 14, which will also feature a reconstruction and pre-recorded interviews with the couple.
Scotland Yard is for the first time trawling through a vast log of mobile phone traffic identified in Praia da Luz, in Portugal, at the time of Madeleine's disappearance.

So this 'fresh substantive evidence' would surely warrant the Portuguese AG reopening the investigation......have they?

I've just read Jim Gamble's interview from Radio 4 this morning on Joana's site (I don't know when it was actually recorded), I found it interesting (or maybe not to others) that he used the term "we are where we are" which are exactly the same words that GM used on Friday when he was being interviewed outside the Court.

Hmmm, have JG and GM been having meetings about what may (or may not) be found on the phone records.  smilie

Well, no, actually, I think not, thank you
Please can you write your message in plain English so we can all understand it, if it's not too much bother.  Thanks.

So, let me get this right.
Thousands of people who were in PDL at the relevant time are going to receive calls from the police. Presumably on the phones they were using at the time ?

Wonder how many people still own the same phones they did back in 2007 ? Just a thought.

What a complete farce !

Apologies if this has already been raised...only read the first 10 pages of this thread.

I didn't know the forum was about understanding Shakespeare, it's about finding out what happened to Madeleine.  There are people who post on here who do not have English as their first language, so when you've finished showing off about your Shakespeare knowledge, whether it's Romeo & Juliet or Hamlet, it would be easier if you wrote your posts so everyone can understand them.

Or we could just ignore them which would probably be easier.
