He is referring to the fact that The Guardian have the same story that the Mirror did re the three robbers but they quote the source of the story as Mitchell not NSY.sonic72 wrote:I dont get his latest post. Re: Yet another good one from Blacksmith
I think he's suggesting CM may take exception to being virtually named in their report rather then being "The Source"
Guardian report:
‘A spokesman for Madeleine's parents told the Daily Mirror that police were ready to arrest and interview "key suspects". Scotland Yard confirmed that it had sent an international letter of request to the Portuguese authorities but would not elaborate on its contents.
…………………
The spokesman for Kate and Gerry McCann said......’

eta Sorry, reply already there now!

Re: Yet another good one from Blacksmith
yes there is clear evidence of who is saying what this time, the Met have said on their website that the letter has been sent, nothing else. Nothing about burglars. The burglar information has come from someone else. But alerting the burglars (if they exist) to the Met's interest in them must be an offence, surely? Since when has it been ok for someone to leak Met policy on a criminal investigation?

Which begs the question who is leaking to CM inthe first place?

Re: Yet another good one from Blacksmith
and why? For obvious reasons the Met don't normally announce who they are pursuing unless its a public appeal, so it would be an internal offence for startersMirage wrote:Which begs the question who is leaking to CM inthe first place?

If the burglars exist, you would have known SY were. possibly aware of you for at least 3 months.
The monitoring of the phone records story went into the public domain around October 4 - these reports highlighted the possibility of burglars.
DCI Redwood specifically mentioned burglars in Crimewatch on October 14.
Since January, reports have went globally stating that the burglars have been 'identified' by SY. This being further intensified by the reports breaking since late Sunday night.
I only hope (with a significant degree of plausibility) that the last 3 months reporting 'allowed' by SY has been to put pressure on these individuals to come forward voluntarily., with the apparent arrest strategy being a last resort to move the case forward to a conclusion. In that, the bring the 'key' evidence to bring the true perpetrators to justice.

Re: Yet another good one from Blacksmith
Possibly no-one is leaking to Clarence M. The burglaries were mentioned on CW, there is the fact of the ILOR. His job is reputation and news management, so the media will be fed a factual and non factual mix which they will word as an article with an attention-grabbing headline.
Would your attention be grabbed more by this
"Maddie police send a second request for help to their Portuguese colleagues" [ factual but not BIG NEWS!!]
or
"Maddie cops ready to make arrests" [ Speculative but VERY BIG NEWS !!]
?

Maybe they are spinning for their own arrests. I don't thinkSY would announce WHO they've arrested, so letting people think the Mccanns won't comment on big developments (as they announced on the FB page last week) when there are eventual arrests.
What l mean is,if people think the Mccanns won't comment they won't pursue them for comment - which of course they couldn't give if they are the ones arrested.

If someone saw GM carrying the little girl that night -or at any other time, come to think of that- maybe the Mecs don't want that person interviewed? So what better tactic than to scare them into doing a runner?

Perhaps the McCann tactics have come full circle: leak information to the press to make the police look inept then when the McCanns are taken in for questioning, wheel out the usual mouthpieces to claim that the police are victimising K & G to cover for their inability to solve the case.

Lots of interesting angles. The barometer for me is the family pal coming out in rant mode. That's a bit at variance with the slick PR machine we've come to expect. The McCanns will be furious will they? That's nothing to the way the way a lot of people are going to feel when the truth comes out.

Re: Yet another good one from Blacksmith
"'Maddie's parents were guilty of child neglect': Lawyer's bizarre courtroom speech during case about drink driving mother who left her son, five, alone at night'
Daily Mail today.
---------------------------------
This is a measure of how the McCann PR machine has fouked people's thinking on basic truth-telling. To speak plainly about the McCanns' self-evident child neglect is now denigrated as a bizarre courtroom speech. The only bizarre thing is that no one has used a public platform in this country to state the obvious before.
I think Mr Morgan will be seen as the little boy who called out from a crowd of sycophants "But the Emperor's wearing no clothes!"
Post McCann the MSM will have to examine their role in the stomach-churning sycophancy. My personal message to Kelly and her ilk is, to coin the words of Clem Atlee : " A period of silence on your part would be welcome."

Re: Yet another good one from Blacksmith
The above quotes to ABC news are not outright lies and concerns about Mr Mitchell are unfounded, McCann support group states. JA2, a Full Time Supporters group, which apparently includes a cousin of Clarence Mitchell, stated today that he was in the clear reputation-wise because there is no evidence that the "spokesman" referred to by the world's media recently is Clarence Mitchell!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
because there is no evidence that the 'spokesman' referred to by the world's media recently is Clarence Mitchell, who didn't recieve handicapped kiddies £37.50p in 'donations' as part of his 40% of his salary, he receives (£30,000 pa) payment from the Find Madeleine Fund because the Clarence Mitchell, and it's not him' says 'it is absolutely disgusting for ANYONE to make money out of Madeleine's 'disapperance' DISGUSTING!
but, A Clarence Mithchell, and it's not him, has done very, very nicely, salary wise, out of the 'fund', thankyou

Re: Yet another good one from Blacksmith
If this case ends the way we hope it will end, I can see the post mortem of the investigation lasting another 6.5 years.
I wonder how many people are "getting their ducks in a row" now in anticipation, and who they are.

Yes, you are correct, but difficult when people do keep putting up links then discussing. I have deleted some links and a thread this morning it has hard to ban all conversation on him.
So could I please ask again on behalf of admin not to link his blogs.
