I'll start a new topic if anyone is interested in talking about the old days.
Yes I`d be interested NFWTD - seeing those old adverts that Hicks posted has got me fuming - was it really that bad?

Back to the naughty Corner...

As a child (many moons ago) I had a book on etiquette which was even older than me. The "correct" way to address a married woman was as Mrs John Smith - women's liberation was a very long way off.
I remember even as a child feeling very indignant and thinking this wasn't right.
I don't think Princess Michael sounds right, either!
...sorry for off-topic.
Has anyone ever seen Jon Corner in real life?
Or been to his swanky media-deals bar, The Landing? -

The Lynsey Fryatt article from the source above, entitled 'A Tale of Two Cities' has Madeleine's godfather as :
"...Jon Corner, charismatic Chief Executive...".
His charms have completely bypassed me.

Re: Jon Corner doing nicely
I actually know what Jon was paid for here, I worked in the building and he came and spoke to use about how media city was created, he actually helped develop the entire concept which would explain the consultancy work before his full time wage there.
and the bar on the 7th is a 'members' bar but anyone can wander in and have some food, its pretty piss poor ut they do a decent breakfast
