Odd that.

Cherie Blair steps down as a patron of Lady Meyer's charity

Cherie Blair steps down as a patron of Pact after figures showed the lion's share of its income was going to its employees

Mrs Blair’s name is no longer on the list of patrons on the charity’s website Photo: Eddie Mulholland

Without any fanfare, Cherie Blair has stepped down as a patron of the charity Pact which is presided over by Lady Meyer, the wife of Sir Christopher Meyer, formerly Our Man in Washington.

Mrs Blair’s name is no longer on the list of patrons on the charity’s website and Catherine Meyer tells Mandrake: “There is no comment I wish to make about this”.

The former prime minister’s wife chose not to speak out in defence of Pact when Mandrake disclosed last year that all but £9,500 of the money received in donations by Pact, which stands for Parents & Abducted Children Together, was paid to Lady Meyer, who is the chief executive, and to one member of staff. The latest figures from the charity showed that Lady Meyer, who is also its president, and her employee were paid a total of £49,586. Lady Meyer received almost 70 per cent of that sum. Pact’s income from donations was £59,056 and it received a further £38,234 in grants.

The Meyers and the Blairs had enjoyed a close relationship, but it had become strained after the publication of DC Confidential, a memoir by Sir Christopher which was less than flatttering about Tony Blair’s government. Sir Christopher’s appearance at the Chilcot Inquiry, when he had wondered out loud, if, a year before the Iraq war, Blair had “signed in blood” a deal with President Bush to overthrow Saddam Hussein, led to a greater froideur.

“We are doing a huge amount of work for very little salary,” Lady Meyer said in response to my story last year. “I used to work in the City and earned much more.”

Her husband, and six of Pact’s 11 trustees, added in a letter: “We consider it to be at the low end of the pay scale for chief executives of charities with a demanding brief.” Pact’s next set of accounts are expected to be published this spring.

Ambassador's wife faces questions over Bush and Blair's charity

Lady Meyer, the wife of Britain's former ambassador to Washington, defends her charity, of which Cherie Blair and Laura Bush are patrons.

With Cherie Blair and Laura Bush, the wife of the former American president, as its patrons, Pact is a charity that has garnered much media attention for its founder, Lady Meyer.

The wife of Sir Christopher Meyer, formerly Our Man in Washington, faces awkward questions, however, about who is actually benefitting.

The latest accounts for Pact, which stands for Parents & Abducted Children Together, disclose that all but £9,500 of the money that it received in donations was paid to Catherine Meyer, who is the chief executive, and to one member of staff.

Lady Meyer paid herself and her employee a total of £49,586. Mandrake understands that Lady Meyer received almost 70 per cent of that sum.

Pact’s income from donations was £59,056 and it received a further £38,234 in grants from the City Bridge Trust and the Chear Foundation.
Lady Meyer, who is also the president of the charity, which she set up in 1999, says in her report: “At a time when, in my personal experience, fund-raising has never been more difficult, our spirits (and our finances!) were lifted by another act of generosity, this time from the much-maligned financial services sector.”

The previous year, Lady Meyer paid herself and one employee £63,877, even though the income from donations was a mere £6,036. That year, the charity, of which Sir Christopher is a member of the management committee, received £20,823 from the City Bridge Trust.
Lady Meyer, 58, a familiar face on the London social circuit, established Pact after she was involved in a long fight for access to her two sons from a previous marriage, to a German doctor.
“We are doing a huge amount of work for very little salary,” she says. “I used to work in the City and earned much more. The ratio isn’t different to any other charities.”

Cherie Blair is in no hurry to speak up for charity boss Lady Meyer

Cherie Blair, a patron of Lady Meyer's charity, Pact, has failed to make a public show of support after questions were raised about the charity's finances.

When Mandrake disclosed that Lady Meyer faced searching questions about the finances of her charity, Pact, she might have expected its patron Cherie Blair to issue a fulsome statement in her support.

Fourteen days later, however, the wife of the former British ambassador to Washington Sir Christopher Meyer is still waiting for a public endorsement from her.

“Cherie is very proud of her charitable work and takes it very seriously,” says a friend of the wife of Tony Blair. “She wouldn’t dream of being paid by her own charity.”

As I reported, all but £9,500 of the money received in donations by Pact, which stands for Parents & Abducted Children Together, was paid to the Chanel-clad Catherine Meyer, who is the chief executive, and to one member of staff.

Lady Meyer, who is also its president, and her employee were paid a total of £49,586. Lady Meyer received almost 70 per cent of that sum. Pact’s income from donations was £59,056 and it received a further £38,234 in grants.
The previous year, Lady Meyer and the employee were paid £63,877, even though the income from donations was a mere £6,036. That year, the charity, of which Sir Christopher is a trustee and a member of the management committee, received £20,823 from the City Bridge Trust.

“We are doing a huge amount of work for very little salary,” she said. “I used to work in the City and earned much more.”
Her husband, and six of Pact’s 11 trustees, added in a letter: “We consider it to be at the low end of the pay scale for chief executives of charities with a demanding brief.
“She recommended reducing her salary in 2010 because of the difficulty of fund-raising in the harsh economic times.”
On Tuesday, Mrs Blair’s spokesman said she was still unavailable for comment.

This is why C-R et al so fear the internet.
This is why malfeasants everywhere fear the truth.
Copy, and paste and send to every contact throughout the world.
And while we are at it, why don't we all send it back to the Telegraph, explaining that they might want it for their archive ! !

These reports are in their archive, the fools just don't realise it and we don't want to draw their attention to it just yet, that archive is like a goldmine . I suggest that we dig around a bit more and then open up this thread to the public.

On 3 January 2006, UK newspaper The Sun joined with PACT’s call for the government to improve the gathering of statistics on missing and abducted children. The newspaper article featured ten children who had gone missing and asked readers to call the Police Missing Person’s Hotline if they saw anyone remotely resembling the children.[17]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parents_and_Abducted_Children_Together

Is the Sun protecting the McCanns or PACT?

Agreed. I tried, but lack the skills to open the closed doors. I tend to use Wayback, but obviously there are other more powerful tools.

Just checking the Charity Commission's site again:

THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN (OLD NAME)
PACT (WORKING NAME)
Governing document
MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 16TH JUNE 1999 AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION 11TH JULY 2000
Area of benefit
WORLDWIDE
unquote

I'll have to check when the name was amended but it is too close to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children to be accidental.

Quite interesting statistics from the NCMEC: http://www.missingkids.com/KeyFacts

'It's rare that a kidnapped child is murdered' - yet they state that 100 out of 114 children abducted by strangers are killed. Some 88%.
For the rest of the 800.000 abductions they give excellent recovery rates... they would, wouldn't they?

Sir Christopher Meyer was posted to the US from 1997 to 2003 when he retired and took over chairmanship? of the Press Complaints Commission.
So Lady Meyer would have likely been in contact with the NCMEC before setting up an almost identically named charity.

No, I used the Wayback machine and it worked just fine. But, it gave 3 possible dates, the correct date is in the link but the others worked on a few occasions.

Kate's diary.

Post by tigger on 28.04.13 9:23

SUNDAY, JUNE 17: Cherie Blair (then the Premier's wife) phoned to find out how we were.

We talked about everything in general, including about them leaving Number 10. She agreed as well to make a 20-second video clip for our broadcast on YouTube about Madeleine and children who have disappeared.

I also had the chance to speak to Tony (then Prime Minister) who told me that we weren't to hesitate to ask him if there was something he could do to help.
unquote

Interesting that PACT isn't mentioned, whilst Cherie clearly wants to use the occasion to publicise PACT as well - I wonder if she did.

On the above list! Ernie Allen right from the start, 1999.

Ernie Allen and Vivien Duffield were the founders of PACT, Yvette Branson (Mother of Richard Branson) is the very first director.
Why were these charities not mentioned in the early days? Why the government involvement, and Jon Corners' association with Ernie Allen in May 2007 but no mention of these charities? Why mention Richard Bransons' donation to the McCanns' legal fees and his insistence on their innocence but no mention of these charities?

The contact address is interesting:
22 The Vineyard
Richmond
Surrey

The Gala Dinner was held at Kew Gardens, Richmond courtesy of Branson. What properties does Branson own in Richmond?

It's looking to me as though this is a front for child trafficking or some other governmental illegality involving children. Some of the committee members are probably OK, but there are too many high power politico's involved for a charity with a turnover no bigger than the price of a luxury car.

Vague knee jerk thoughts, not backed up, are

Sandy Hook, Batman shooting, Jack Straw making it illegal for children to complain of abuse, Saville, Hariet Harman and that other woman virtually condoning paedophilia, Tony Blair done for cottaging, Gordon Brown raping nine year old, Lord McAlpine, micro-chipping, possible experimental (?)mass vaccinations.

Don't know how all these events are linked, but seeing the players, and the turnover of the charity no-one really has heard of (it's certainly no household name like NSPCC).

If the numbers of children disappearing are high, and if they are not reported as much if they are from low-end of social scale, esp Mexican, black or Hispanic in US, how do we know government aren't stealing them for experiments or to sell amongst their paedo clubs?

Getting government people on a charity is a distancing exercise IMO.

I am beginning to think children are being stolen to experiment on. And I do not believe for one minute that all the vaccinations given to children are beneficial. We don't know what the hell is in that syringe when our children are being injected and neither do the doctors or nurses giving the injections. It is the biggest act of faith we get involved in.

This all sounds nutty I know, but a thought is beginning to emerge from the misty recesses but is very much embryonic and not joined up yet. Will post more when have given it deeper thought.

I just think it's money - lots and lots of it. I still think it's mainly microchipping with pharma combined.

These charities would be just the thing to promote chipping of children. Starting with doing so for medicinal purposes. There has already been a case in Canada where thanks to microchipping, a diabetic child was saved from certain death. Her chip having enabled the parents to find her in time for her next injection. Hmm. Very nice.
The new health scheme in the US is concerned with chipping isn't it? It's coming.

Chipping would have to start with children, two generations and you're done. These charities could even run the publicity and find the odd kidnapped child whose parents had the great foresight to have them microchipped.

With all the information available on the internet, it is difficult to know exactly what the reasons for political connections to these charities are. Gerry McCann has a lot of connections, the first person he called on May 3rd was allegedly, Diplomat Alistair Clark, an old university friend who has strong links to Gordon Brown.
We know that there is an elite paedophile ring being covered up by the government, and we know that Gerry McCann was on the committee of Comare which may be the link to Brian Kennedy via Alvin Shuttleworth and the government. (Coverup of nuclear issues)
We now that these charities are NGO companies backed by the government with Tony and Cherie Blair & Laura Bush being heavily involved.
Most of these people who have been involved in these charities were involved with the McCanns since early May 2007

I am inclined to suspect that one of the reasons for the cover-up of the McCann case and the government support of these charities is somehow linked to the 2006/07 cash for honours scandal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cash_for_Honours
Some of the wealthy backers of these charities have made huge and probably undisclosed loans to the political parties, that would explain why both governments have supported the McCanns, especially if the McCanns were a subject of these charities before May 2007.
For some reason, everywhere I search for information on these loans, I end up with a Jewish connection and it would seem that it is the Jews that have been making the majority of these loans. There is a lot of information there, some leading back to Iraq and 9/11. It is a minefield at the moment and very difficult to establish what this all about. Too much information

Jews fund both Labour and Tories
May 2009
On 13 October 2006, The Jewish Chronicle published the article, Team Cameron’s Big Jewish Backers.
This is it:
"Prominent members of the Jewish community are playing a major role in financing David Cameron’s bid for power, a JC investigation can reveal. The biggest Jewish donor to the party while Mr Cameron has been leader is gaming magnate Lord Steinberg, who has donated £530,000, plus a loan of £250,000. Hedge-fund owner Stanley Fink has donated £103,000, even though he was a declared supporter of Mr Cameron’s leadership rival, Liam Fox. A further £250,000 has been loaned by philanthropist Dame Vivien Duffield.
During Mr Cameron’s campaign to lead his party, Jewish figures gave his team additional donations of more than £60,000. According to the JC’s inquiries, direct donations to 'Team Cameron' in the leadership battle came from philanthropist Trevor Pears (around £20,000), Bicom chair Poju Zabludowicz (£15,000 plus £25,000 to the party), Next chief executive Simon Wolfson (£10,000 plus £50,000 to the party), former Carlton TV boss Michael Green (£10,000) and Tory deputy treasurer and key Cameron fundraiser Andrew Feldman (£10,000 through his family firm, Jayroma).
Beyond the donors, a small but influential group of Jewish Conservative officials and politicians were also key players in Mr Cameron’s campaign for the leadership. Among them was party treasurer and managing director of Cavendish Corporate Finance, Howard Leigh...
Mr Leigh worked closely with Mr Feldman in running the so-called 'Team Cameron,' and both will now be charged with broadening the party’s donor base. Mr Feldman is a close friend of Mr Cameron, whom he met as an undergraduate at Oxford University.
Other senior figures around the leader include Oliver Letwin, head of policy. A former shadow Home Secretary and shadow Chancellor, Mr Letwin is, like Mr Cameron, an Old Etonian.
Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps, who seconded Mr Cameron’s bid to become Tory leader, decided early on that he was the man 'of the future.' He backed his campaign, he told the JC, because 'I saw that he had great leadership qualities.' As a vice-chairman of the Conservative Party, he said, he would be taking the Cameron message to supporters around the UK.
Although he is popular with Jewish Tories, Mr Cameron’s criticism of Israel’s actions in Lebanon sparked doubts about his stance — voiced particularly by Tory donor and former party treasurer Lord Kalms.
However, Conservative Friends of Israel chair Richard Harrington stressed that the leader had given LFI "every possible access" and had met CFI officials several times.
The Key Players:
Andrew Feldman - Destined to be charged with raising money for the new-look Conservative Party, Andrew Feldman met Mr Cameron at Brasenose College, Oxford. He is a close friend and tennis partner of the leader...
Mr Feldman attended Haberdashers’ Aske’s school... Having acted as fundraiser for Mr Cameron’s leadership campaign, he is now deputy treasurer of the party and is in Mr Cameron’s economic-policy group.
Michael Green - former chairman of Carlton Television, gave financial support to David Cameron’s leadership campaign but would not discuss details.
'I am a big supporter of David Cameron... I have supported David Cameron’s quest to become leader,' he said.
Lord Steinberg became a life peer in 2004 and is a major donor to the Conservatives... 70-year-old Baron Steinberg of Belfast was a founder of Stanley Leisure plc, the gaming company, serving as executive chairman from 1957 to 2002 and non-executive chairman since then. He is a former deputy treasurer of the Tory party and is a founder and chairman of his family charitable trust. His political interests are listed in Dod’s, the parliamentary guide, as Northern Ireland, tax and gambling, and Israel.
A donor to David Cameron’s leadership campaign and to the Conservative Party, Simon Wolfson, will be continuing a family tradition when he becomes an adviser to Mr Cameron on improving economic competition and wealth creation.
The son of Lord Wolfson, who was chief of staff to Margaret Thatcher, Mr Wolfson, chief executive of the Next clothing chain, is one of the youngest advisors to be appointed by Mr Cameron.
Along with MP John Redwood, Mr Wolfson will jointly chair the advisory group that will seek to reduce red tape and improve education and skills in the workplace. It will also examine the country’s transport infrastructure...
As vice-chairman of the Conservative Party and seconder to David Cameron’s campaign, backbencher Grant Shapps will find the next few months extremely busy as he tours the constituencies to persuade Tories of the virtues of the new leadership."
So, according to The Jewish Chronicle, one of the "the key players… Andrew Feldman, is a close friend and tennis partner of the leader."
Know anyone else who might be a close friend and tennis partner of another leader?
That would be bloke called Levy, wouldn't it?
And a bloke who was a "key player" was "Lord Wolfson… chief of staff to Margaret Thatcher".
Let's contrast the article above with the November 1996, front page of The Sunday Times which introduced us to the essay, Blair's Secret Donors Exposed:
"Tony Blair is receiving hundreds of thousands of pounds in undisclosed donations through a private account despite the Labour party's commitment to openness about its funding. A Sunday Times investigation has discovered some of Britain's richest tycoons have given donations under an arrangement made by Blair's office to disguise their identities. They include Sir Trevor Chinn, chairman of Britain's biggest motor dealers who was knighted by the Tories, and Sir Emmanuel Kaye, a multi-millionaire… The fund… is being used to help pay Blair's staff and other private expenses. No trace of the donations appears in the labour party's accounts… The Labour Leader's Office Fund is particularly mysterious. It was established about a year ago and was manged by Blick Rothenburg, a City accountancy firm.
Michael Goldstein, a partner in Blick Rothenburg, who looked after the fund, said, 'I really don't now anything about it. Where did you get our name from'?…
David Rothenburg, the firm's senior tax partner, was in Israel this weekend and unavailable for comment.
Many of the donors are pillars of the British establishment and have long and distinguished entries in Who's Who… Alex Bernstein, former chairman of Granada… is understood to have donated… Bob Gavron, a publishing millionaire who has publicly donated directly to the Labour party, has also given £35,000 to Blair's private office.
Chinn, 61, is chairman of Lex Service and President of the Joint Israel Appeal, Britain's biggest fundraising charity for Israel…
The Labour Leader's Office Fund was set up last year by Jonathan Powell, Blair's chief of staff and brother of Sir Charles Powell, an aide to Margaret Thatcher… Blair is understood to have wanted to develop a source of finance that would give him independence from the Labour party… to help pay for his private office…
Labour has made great play of its new policy of declaring all donations of more than £5,000 to the party, and has challenged the Tories to come clean on their sources of funding."
The four businessmen named in the Sunday Times article, Sir Trevor Chinn, Sir Emmanuel Kaye, Alex Bernstein and Bob Gavron, are all Jewish.
The firm that was chosen to handle the secret account, Blick Rothenburg, is Jewish, as is David Rothenburg, the firm's senior tax partner.
Michael Goldstein, who "looked after the fund," is also Jewish.
David Cameron took this year's summer holiday in Corfu with none other than his favourite tennis partner and fundraiser, Andrew Feldman.

@tigger wrote:I just think it's money - lots and lots of it.

I think you are right that big pharma and chipping are part of the big picture.

Overall, I think population control and some form of eugenics are where it's going to end up. I think the US and UK are quite closely linked in this regard. We have this crisis facing the developed world, which is an ageing population. The ratio of economically non-productive individuals versus the financial contributors is going out of whack, and in years to come it is simply not going to be sustainable.

Couple that with an age of information sharing where any devious tactics are more likely to be rumbled and we have to start considering what options are open to the powers that be to meet their objectives. It can't be too obvious, so it will be IMO a multi pronged approach.

The powers that be are also faced with having to deal with major contradictions in this regard. On the one hand, they need a substantial number of healthy and reasonably educated individuals to keep the forward momentum, which means that medical and educational advances need to be made and sustained, (not to mention the pharma industry is worth @ $800 billion a year globally). On the downside of this, you get an increase in ageing unproductive individuals which is not advantageous to the economic success of society, as their health needs and care costs a fortune, far more overall than their contributions when of working age amount to, especially if they live 10 or 20 years longer on average than a generation ago. The percentage who have a workable pension or assets are by far in the minority.

It is the attempts of the powers that be to balance between the need and the problems that throws up all this weird stuff IMO. I think it is right that people are suspicious of so called vaccinations, chem-trails, possible microchipping, anti-terrorism laws, mass immigration, pretend interests in child protection (coupled with apparent epidemic of paedophilia and other abhorrent sex crimes), loss of freedom of speech, engineered rise in the cost of living, threats of power shortage/ competition for natural resources, and so on.

I really think all these various elements are part and parcel of the fact that the human population on this planet has really got too big to be managed effectively, other than by way of the powers that be to treat their fellow man like livestock which has to be managed in a way as a farmer would manage a large herd on a commercial farm.

And there is an aspect of this "herd management" which is entirely necessary, before the population gets so huge that we reach our finite means of supplying/producing enough resources for it to survive, and/or competition for resources and survival becomes so "raw" that society goes into complete meltdown and even more wars break out.

On a tangent, it is worth noting that a great many of the Bilderburg conferences have had China and the Middle East as their main topics. Russia used to top the bill, but has made way in recent years. Both China and Middle East can be seen as "highly dangerous" when one considers the amount of control they have over resources and production the rest of us need so badly.

Agree entirely. There are millions of Chinese living in Africa incidentally - they've been doing a lot of work there, building railways and infrastructure.

Ready to swoop in and exploit Africa's vast mineral resources that African governments have as yet been too stupid or disorganised to access. Once they have paid off the corrupt leadership and start mining, they will pretty much have global control. Scary.

Russia control most of the worlds gas and mineral resources, the Middle East the oil (plus the mindless terrorist aspect), India has steel and manufacture of exported goods and minerals, China, production and soon Africa's mineral wealth. That landmass (Russia and Asia) will control the resources that the West needs. I guess that is why we have organisations such as the Illuminati, Freemasons, Bilderburg etc. The West needs to find ways not to be swallowed up by the East.

Does anyone who has posted on thread have any objections to moving it from the Research section into the public section?
If not, are there any amendments that need to be made first?

I wouldn't put this one in the public section, on the basis that so many "big names" are being linked to corruption under the pretences of a charity. As the forum is being spied on constantly IMO it unwise. Would it be workable to lift the first couple of posts over, into a new topic, and see how it evolves / what direction it flows to? Just a thought.

Thanks

I may just post up a summary of the key points and copy some of the press reports over
