i see the 2012 Accounts have not been filed and are now overdue.

Sure £150 fine is nothing to the wealthy

Merely three weeks pension donated by an OAP who genuinely believes that it is going toward a search for a missing child.
The Directors /Trustees, the accountants and the lawyers should be made to pay this out of their own pockets.
But they won't.

I can be totally wrong, but I cannot escape the feeling that they won't publish accounts before the end of this month.

If they don't file the accounts before the end of the month the penalty will increase to £375.. It's not very professional of the directors.

For the accountants, Haysmacintyre, and the lawyers, Bates Wells and Braithwaite, it is professional negligence.

No, I mean Yes, you're right. But GBP 375 is peanuts compared to a possible analysis of the accounts before they enter their two libel/damage trials this month.

Sorry for going off-topic, but I thought you would be interested. I
received a Certified letter notice before Christmas, and picked it up
today. It was a refund of money I had sent to the Hailey Dunn reward
fund. It was a Cashiers Check, signed by the Mayor of Colorado City. It was accompanied by a letter, dated 12/20/2012:

"At
this time the City of Colorado City is dissolving the Hailey Dunn
Reward Fund Account. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been designated as the lead agency in this investigation. All reward funds are being returned to the original donors.

Enclosed
please find a cashier check in the amount of $23.00 Any further
information regarding reward fund for Hailey Dunn may be directed to the Federal Bureau of Inestigation (FBI).

Brian Kennedy
Edward Smethurst
Jon Corner
Michael Linett

Far as we know the top 5 are in the same boat, so who is Michael Linett and how is he related to the Mccanns?

Interestingly the Audited Accounts was signed by Brian Kennedy.
Generally, it is common practice that the person actively administering and monitoring the Fund would sign the accounts.
So why is BK interested in the running and operation of the Fund? Hasn't he got anything else better to do?

The one who said right from the start that the "Fund" WOULD be used mostly for legal fees ?
I wish there were some reporters with the guts to ask the supplementary question "What the Hell are you talking about ?"

I thought the Uncle resigned long ago and returned to work. He was the first to leave the Fund, followed by a few others.

No, that was John McCann GM's brother, and Doug Skehan who resigned in July and August 2010. Brian Kennedy the uncle has been on the board since the beginning, or almost the beginning I think.

ETA I think BK is retired.

Brian Kennedy, this one, is an uncle of Kate, so great uncle of the twins/Madeleine, he is a retired head teacher.
