Tax return

Post by PeterMac on 15.08.12 14:36

Can you believe it?
My income tax return form has been sent back to me because , in response to question 4 , "Do you have anyone dependent on you?",
I replied :
2.1 million illegal immigrants ,
1.1 million crack heads ,
4.4 million unemployables ,
900, 000 criminals in over 85 prisons ,
plus 650 idiots in Parliament and the whole of the European Commission.”

They said this was not an acceptable answer !
So, who the hell did I miss out?

Apart from Imogen, who looks to be more dependent on a good upholstery business, you forgot the tax man. He depends on you justifying his existence.

Petermac

send it back with a cover letter asking them to specify how the answer is not acceptable and quoting from the form - it should say somewhere that you must tell the truth, and that there are penalties for omission.

A friend recently had a tax payment returned here in Ireland because she had not filled in the form for this new tax though her letter with payment made it clear who she was/what she was paying so there was no reason for not processing. They claimed they couldn't process it without the completed form. So she sent it to the Minister for Finance saying she didn't understand why his officials were returning money when the country was broke. it was then accepted!

PS maybe add to dependents list - SY Madeleine case 'review'-

You're right: Pauline is funny, her friend is funny and adding the SY review to people depending on UK tax-payers is absolutely correct winkwink

So true petermac and so funny

What I was mulling over recently was I wonder how many of Tesco's workers(just a random example big company)

who are on minimum wage or just above are also on tax credit etc which means tax payers are supplementing their income

to a level they can afford to live on. Meanwhile Tesco are making millions and also parts of their corporation are registered in different

countries so is the UK losing out on tax from them?

How I see it your average tax payer is subsidising the wages of those on the minimum wage while the companies employing them make a fortune

IMO the minimum wage should be a rate that people can actually afford to live on

I agree with the benefit system as a safety net for the vulnerable in society unfortunately it is totally abused

and a lot of people on benefits consider it a lifestyle choice - I know this probably won't be a popular opinion but it's true

The amount of times I hear ' But I'm no better off working' - Aargh the point is you can work and should be responsible for yourself

and you're own family if at all possible

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
