Shafilea Ahmed's parents charged with her murder

A coroner ruled that Shafilea Ahmed was unlawfully killed

The parents of Cheshire schoolgirl Shafilea Ahmed have been charged with her murder.

The 17-year-old was last seen in her home town of Warrington in September 2003.

Her decomposed remains were found on the banks of the River Kent in Cumbria in February 2004.

Iftikhar Ahmed, 51, and Farzana Ahmed, 48, of Liverpool Road, Great Sankey, Warrington, have now been charged with murder, Cheshire Police said.

They are due to appear at Halton Magistrates' Court later.

Mr and Mrs Ahmed were initially arrested on suspicion of kidnapping their daughter in December 2003 but in June 2004 were released without charge when the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) ruled there was insufficient evidence against them.

They were arrested on suspicion of her murder in 2010 and released on police bail.

The CPS authorised Cheshire Constabulary to charge the couple on Wednesday.

They have always denied any involvement in their daughter's death.

Iftikhar and Farzana Ahmed have always denied any involvement in their daughter's death Two post-mortem examinations failed to determine how Ms Ahmed died but a verdict of unlawful killing was recorded at her inquest in 2008.

The inquest heard she was a bright and intelligent young woman who wanted to go to university and become a lawyer.

Pathologists said she was most likely strangled or suffocated and South Cumbria coroner Ian Smith said he believed she was probably murdered.

The teenager went missing on 11 September 2003 and was reported missing by a teacher a week later.

Her body was discovered by workmen and she was identified by her jewellery and dental records.

Here is more on the story http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Shafilea_Ahmed

Interesting how they launched a big campagne and got an actress to front it for them.

And they did it at September 11 2003 on a day most people where having their thoughts on ehat happend with the twin towers September 11 2001.

Experts says when people are told to lie about a number like a date, nr 3 and 5 is most often the chosen numbers, 3 as first place and 5 second place. Those numbers we find on important things in the Mccann case. Some of them are :
"Abduction" 3 of May, the third in the fifth month
Kate made a big deal of the time difference on her camera, that was one hour, shifting time from 2-3
Madeleine 3 years old

and this is also a good point I came over :

The various photos genuine and otherwise are already widely available and have created massive interest so I personally don't feel that, had they all been in the book, it would have made any difference.

But there has only ever been 3 which specifically relates to their holiday in Portugal, that we have been encouraged to see.

1. The play area
2. The pool
3. The tennis balls

Experts in lying says that number 3 is the most often chosen number in a lie...

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
