'I just couldn't let go': Anne Diamond recalls the awful day she lost her son to cot death
Anyone who’s ever been through anything this tragic knows that real life can appear so unrealistic no film director would accept the storyline. I often think of Madeleine McCann’s parents. The horror they’ve been through would have to be watered down to become believable. It was the same with us.

This is a sad story. It was standard advice by health professionals 30 odd years ago to tell you to put babies on their tummies to sleep - I had no idea that they knew it was wrong!
The McCann case is hardly the same. Can anyone think of any health professional, barring the McCanns themselves, who said that it was OK to leave any child under 4, let alone 3, unattended while they went out? I can't.

Lost children
I have every sympathy for Anne Diamond and everyone else who has lost a child this way but I do wish she hadn't mentioned the McCanns and given them credibility that they do not deserve.

Terrible story. I attended several when I was a PC and a Sgt.
But I do not see the evidence of jogging or the tennis lessons.
And she doesn't mention setting up a blog, or going on a tour of European capitals.
And I also do not know what her favourite wine is.
She cried. They all cried. They were distraught. That is normal for people in those dreadful circumstances.

Exactly.
Didn't Anne Diamond suffer even worse with News Int hacking her phone and printing hurtful stories about her too. These people are pure evil, all in the name of making money
