About "DrMartinRoberts" articles

Post by solva on 02.08.11 3:24

"Dr Martin Roberts" writes in "Uneasy Lies The Head" https://jillhavern.forumotion.net/t2984-uneasy-lies-the-head about this phrase the mother says:

"what I can remember of the night, you know, seeing Gerry, that distraught really, sobbing, on the floor".

The analysis claims that "There are only two recorded instances of Gerry behaving in any way in the manner Kate describes"
(The two events mentioned are: 1. "kneeled down and put both his hands on the ground and shouted twice", and 2. "the girl's parents kneeled down on the floor of their bedroom and placed their heads on the bed, crying"), and the analysis states that neither of these "only two recorded instances" can be the event described by the mother.

Actually there are four instances recorded in the files. The two which the analyst missed are in the 2008 Leicester interviews (ROB,DP), which means the analysis, hinging on "only two recorded instances", is incorrect, in my humble opinion. The two accounts, which were missed by the analysis, indicate in my opinion that her phrase (above) is most likely simply a true statement of what she saw.

Ah, another hit and run.
So you would be able to answer Dr. Roberts questions:
So which night are we really talking about? And which floor?

Night of 3rd / early hours of 4th. Probably parents bedroom, near the built-in cupboards.

So how do you know which occasion Kate is talking about?

In the files are descriptions by other witnesses, of being on floor events at 4 distinct locations:
1. outside main reception.
2. in parents bedroom at bed (both parents).
3. on 5A balcony.
4. in parents bedroom near cupboards (only one parent).
Surprisingly Dr MR failed to find events 3 and 4.
#4 is the one which fits her description well, so probably that is the event she saw.

This is from an article written by Dr MR
As James Murray of the Sunday Express (8.8.2009) reported: "Kate went to Lagos marina, a few miles along the coast from Praia daLuz where her daughter vanished on May 3, 2007, and photographed the boat and the man on board."
It would appear that Kate's actions on this occasion negated her own claim to photographic incapacity. That in itself is potentially significant, but the implication of her statement to Ms Craig is of singular importance; so much so that we ought to view it in isolation:
"I haven't been able to use the camera since I took that last photograph of her"
MR claims that KM took photos at Lagos marina a few days after May 3rd, and that therefore she is lying when she later says she hadn't been able to use a camera.

The Express article on which Dr MR relies, says "Kate --- photographed the boat".

Problem is that Express article is mis-quoting the original document (Outros apensos VIII 331) which does NOT say KM herself photographed the boat. It is an obvious possibility that it may have been her companion who photographed the boat. So in my opinion MR reaches a conclusion both unfair and flawed, by failing to check the original document (which would have taken only a few seconds - it's of singular importance). Wink
