I was looking at the video of Eddie and Keela and it struck me that there was no alert to Kate McCann's pink trainers by the blood dog. Does anyone know whether they were examined?

I think the pink trainers may well have been "abducted"! Strange how they were never mentioned?

Never mentioned since to be sure.But a dog nip and blood was noted re the wearing of pink trainers. Maybe no trainers and no dog nip, but blood.

Thank you - I was wondering why Kate ever mentioned these shoes in the first place and why we have not seen them. There are many pictures of Kate running but I have yet to see those pink trainers. Has anyone else seen them?

If Madeleine died earlier in the week as many of us now believe and there was blood on these shoes, the nip on Kates' calf would be her explanation for it.

She was wearing the cadaver trousers later in the holiday. Did the PJ return them or where there two pairs? But what happened to the Pink trainers? If the blood was from a mere nip on the calf, surely they could have been washed and worn again - they were dirty anyway, from the sand, according to Kate. Did she wear them later in the week? Were they retained by the PJ? or were they ruined by a larger amount of blood?

Kate's feet. Does anyone remember Kate sitting on Lorraine Kelly's (fellow supporter of Missing People) sofa talking about her feet and the operations of yore whilst she was tirelessly training to do a marathon for Missing People and the upshot was Lorraine saying 'you're a finisher' and Kate saying 'yes'.

Oh Kate's feet have been featured. A PR company prompted a big thing on Kate's feet. Poor Kate with her bad feet and still running miles for missing people. Crikey, how many women who have a missing child sit on a telly sofa and talk about their feet? Ask Clarence.

I haven't read the book, but whenever I hear about this dog bite, I wonder if Kate got any kind of treatment. Because if I was ever bitten by one of those manky stray dogs in the Algarve, deep enough to draw blood, I would be really worried and possibly take myself to get a rabies shot. At least some antibiotics. And they were doctors - this isn't something they'd be blasé about.

I wonder if her tetanus was up to date. ….if no tetanus in the last 5 years a booster would be required, especially when it comes to a bite from a stray dog in a foreign country, I certainly wouldn't take any chances. The pink trainers may have ended up in the same place as the fridge.

I don't think it is, these are purple, grey and white (when you blow up the picture) and the photo is taken in August 2007.

I don't know if Kate would have kept her trainers that long, especially as they were allegedly, already ruined by the sand etc. in May

Were the pink trainers around during the holiday? More to the point, were they around after April 07? They were new trainers, so why was she not wearing them later in the week?

All the pictures posted so far look like the same trainers. Not very "PINK" are they? Yet in her bewk, she put a lot of emphasis on the how pink they were.

I think the trainers in the photograph may be a different pair, they are not pink, and it was over 3 months later.

By pink trainers, she probably meant something like these below. Perhaps she only wore them once and they got ruined by the blood stains (from the calf nip, of course).

Yes, that's the vision I had when reading the bewk re the pink trainers…very pink, but like everything else incriminating…whoosh gone never to be seen again!

Those are pink girly looking trainers for sure, I don't think the ones in the photo look at all girly.
