The Sun Police Bravery Awards 2007

Post by Cheshire Cat on 18.07.11 17:58

We all remember that Gerry McCann gave a speech at the 2007 Police Bravery Awards at the Dorchester.

These awards were backed by the Sun and not surprisingly Rebekah Brooks was present. Even Prince Charles was there as well! The Mirror have suggested that Neil Wallis set up the Annual Police Bravery Awards when he worked for the Sun (pre 2003).

Was Gerry there as a guest of the Police or as a guest of the PR and press people?

Neil Wallis and the Murdoch Squad:

Mr Wallis, a former editor of The People and deputy of The Sun, joined the News of the World in 2003 – shortly after Mr Coulson took over – and worked there for six years before leaving to run a public relations agency.Mr Wallis is believed to have set up the Police Bravery Awards alongside the Police Federation during his time working for Mr Murdoch’s Sun.http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2011/07/15/news-of-the-world-phone-hacking-the-murdoch-squad-115875-23271897

Madeleine's Father Cheered By Police

2:18pm UK, Friday July 13, 2007

The father of missing Madeleine McCann has received a standing ovation at an awards ceremony for Britain's bravest police officers. “He wiped away tears after a poignant video of his daughter was shown at the Police Bravery Awards at the Dorchester Hotel in London”.

Must have been a Monty Pythonesque circus:

"Brave policeforce applauds suspects"

Brave really does not describe it, does it?

I am bumping this thread because people all over Britain  and THE WORLD  (judging by our live feed here)  are asking  questions about the high status protection the McCanns have received from the off.

Here, on the above thread, we learn that, UNBELIEVABLY,  someone conceived the idea that a suspect in a child's disappearance would make Gerry McCann the ideal guest speaker at a police bravery award ceremony. He duly  comes, hotfoot from Portugal on 12 JULY 2007, while under investigation by Portuguese police, to speak as HONORARY GUEST at the POLICE BRAVERY AWARDS in his capacity as ARGUIDO in the disappearance of his daughter.

Not only this,  but he receives a standing ovation!!!

Mind blowing stuff really.   A standing ovation it really is UNBELIEVABLE.

As someone said on CMOMM facebook which made me laugh:

It's like Harold Shipman being invited to speak at the Help the Aged Annual General Meeting.

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
