McCanns are returning to Portugal next week

Hope for Kate and Gerry in return to Portugal

By ANTONELLA LAZZERI

MADELEINE'S parents will return to Portugal next week with new hope in the search for their abducted daughter.

The couple will launch Kate's new book, aimed at boosting the investigation.
Kate and Gerry will travel to capital Lisbon for the release of an edition translated into Portuguese.

They hope it will tell their side of the story to the Portuguese people.

Titled simply Madeleine, it is already set to be a No1 bestseller in the UK after being serialised all week in The Sun.

Kate, 43, said: "I don't feel we have had the chance to tell our side of the story in Portugal yet.

"I am hoping people will read the book and realise what kind of people we are - loving parents."

Cardiologist Gerry, 42, added: "I think there are a lot of cultural differences and sometimes people there didn't understand why we did certain things and the book will hopefully address that."

Kate and Gerry believe vital clues - a missing piece of the "jigsaw" - may be buried away in Portuguese police files.

But last night the Portuguese former police chief who was sacked from the investigation launched a vile attack on Kate.

Referring to other cases Kate described, of intruders attacking British children in their Portuguese holiday homes, Detective Goncalo Amaral ranted: "There are no cases of child abuse in Portugal. Kate lies, telling that.

"Tourists like her are not needed, mothers neglecting their children, that loses a child on holiday after dinner when she was drinking in a bar until midnight."

Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns' spokesman, said: "Kate and Gerry will not respond to, or dignify, his predictable comments."

Gerry said of the case review: "I'm sure it will go a long way to addressing one of our key disgruntlements, that British police had lots of information that was just sitting there with no one looking at it."

Kate was surprised the PM ordered the review so fast. She said: "We weren't expecting to hear anything until next week."

So Mr Amaral is saying what KM has written is not true about those sex abuse cases. wow

Antonella Lazzeri article

Post by pauline on 14.05.11 13:14

This journalist will never win a prize for investigative reporting!

Note her loaded language - Amoral has launched a 'vile' attack and he 'ranted' about the McCanns...

And Clarence Mitchell says his clients will not dignify his comments by a response. Very convenient as they dont want to answer his questions.

The article tells us the McCanns are going to Lisbon next week to launch the Portuguese translation of their book. I found this quote from Gerry McCann hilarious - 'cultural differences mean that sometimes people did not understand what we did.' He hopes the book will help the Portuguese appreciate the position from the McCann perspective.

Kate is quoted as hoping that the book will make the Portuguese 'understand the people we are - loving parents.' Does she seriously think that the Portuguese will consider that 'loving parents' leave three children under 4 in an unlocked apartment so that the eldest (aged 3) can get the three of them out in case of a fire!

GM- 'cultural differences mean that sometimes people did not understand what we did

Surely he means what they didn't do, and that was look after three little children under 4.

Journalists?

Post by Marian on 14.05.11 17:32

Pauline: I don't think that Antonella Lazzeri who contributes to The Sun can in any way, shape or form be called a journalist! Her job description in my opinion is that of a trashy fiction writer.

When you look at the conning couple's actions you see the pattern of true sociopathic behavior: mMadeleine disappeared: they were at their guard for a bit until they discovered they had fooled quite a few. So they acted bolder, which fooled even more, which made them act even bolder etc. There was this small hickup of having been made arguidos, oh better fall back on a safe spot where they still buy our lies. Now they have been spouting and even publishing their hairy tales and see; they are back in Portugal telling the Portuguese it is their problem they don't understand the superior mind of these responsible parents.

Pure sociopaths

and so vulgar

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
