Money makes the world go round?
If this photo is genuine (and it certainly is hard to tell these days) it reinforces my belief that this whole shebang was all about money. I wonder if they ever foresaw how successful their commercial enterprise would be. Perhaps they could set themselves up as advisors to people wanting to start up new businesses!

I hope you don't mind Molly but I am using this photo as my avatar. Seems appropriate!

Re: Photographs and memories
I am pretty sure that photo was photoshopped in the time at 3A when we were still allowed to be naughty sometimes on a special humour thread.
It easily could have been real though, that's so scary about it.

Whether it is real or not, a picture can say a thousand words! or in this case....one!!

We're in the money.....
It seems I was right to query whether the photo was authentic or not; it's hard to spot the fakes from some of the genuine images that the McCanns have felt were suitable for publication.

And the McCanns themselves clearly photoshopped at least one photo.Jean wrote:It seems I was right to query whether the photo was authentic or not; it's hard to spot the fakes from some of the genuine images that the McCanns have felt were suitable for publication.
The photo in the shrine in the church does not have Gerry's elbow next to Madeleine's right ear.
The "last photo' does.
One or other was tampered with.
I'm right with you

I've always felt it was all about the money. If you want to get biblical: 'by their fruits shall ye know them'.
But from the first time I saw Gerry standing by the sketch of his 'wider agenda' I could smell a plan, somewhat delayed, but already complete in most details. And how was that possible, given the time?
I also think the plan was to stay in Portugal indefinitely. That's what they said 'until Madeleine is found', which is never, so they could stay forever.
The dogs messed it up, the PJ messed it up, what we are seeing is Plan B. I don't think they ever meant to stay in Rothley.

I thought it was on the BBC website at 12.01. But equally early on the Telegraph's? Amazing.

Picture of model "Breama Barna"
Just in case anyone doesn't know, this picture has been discussed previously on this site and is a hoax. As has been said before, it's sometimes very hard to tell the difference between hoaxes and something put out by the McCanns themselves.

Thanks Marian.
jd, I have deleted your post with the image. Not very respectful to Madeleine, and as Marian says a hoax.

Re: Photographs and memories
Sorry. I hasn't seen it before but just saw it now on one of the blogs. The point being, if it was true just how sick it was and another nail into the McCanns

Madeleine McCann Quotes
“Kate & I would like to make a statement – We’d like to talk about several issues, No.1 Officers support in this ordeal, No 2. The role and help of the International family law group and No.3. Communications with media – you may ask questions afterwards but as you all understand, we cannot talk about the investigation and there are other things that we are just not ready to talk about at this stage”
- Gerry McCann, Madeleine McCann’s father
“Please, please do not hurt her, please don’t scare her.”
- Kate McCann, Madeleine McCann’s mother
“We would like to thank you Tremendous strength and spiritual outpouring that there has been along the way, this gives us hope and encouragement beyond belief.”
- Gerry McCann, Madeleine McCann’s father
“As some of you know, there has been multiple offers of financial pledges to help Maddie. And we are ever grateful for that also.”
- Gerry McCann, Madeleine McCann’s father
“We beg you to let Madeleine come home. Please give our little girl back.” “Words cannot describe the anguish and despair that we are feeling.”
- Gerry McCann, Maddie McCann’s father
“We can’t even consider this at this time”
- Kate McCann, Maddie McCann’s mother when asked “When will you consider returning home?”

It you blow up this photograph, it's quite clear the coloboma is at 6 o'clock here, in the film it's very hit and miss. The coloboma was supposed to be at 7 o'clock. Much more difficult the get it right with film.

Re: Photographs and memories
Tigger,
if I put an object into the bath-tub and look directly at it then I get a different picture than when I look at it from an angle, I think this is also what happens with the eye, seeing (no pun) that the cornea is transparent then I will get a different picture when looking from an angle which can shorten or stretch the picture seen.Am I correct here? I am really not sure about this, you can call it a hypothesis, I´ll be gratefull for your answer, thanks[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
