Woof, woof, woof, woof? :)
This was posted by crazytony/Tony Winters on his blog, cleverly titled "woof, woof, woof, woof?" http://thehoundingofthemccans.blogspot.com/?zx=62179587fe823913
Yesterday, 5/5/2011., when I found out one of the English dogs used to search the McCann family’s Portuguese apartment reacted to male semen in another search outside Portugal I was angry I was very angry.
It meant, the dog in question was actually reacting to the chemical make up Cadaverine and Putrescence, it also explained why the dog reacted strongly to only the Mother’s clothing and a faint interest to the little boys T-shirt; cross contamination.
I am also quite sure I am not the only one who made the connection though unfortunately I was just an eon behind in finding out about the semen reaction.
Cadaverine and Putrescine are the two main chemicals that are produced when any living creature dies. However it is also produce by living homo-sapiens; for instance in males semen and also in females in two common infections of the vagina, bacterial vaginosis and sometimes in trichomonas vaginalis. Had I known sooner of the dog’s reaction to semen I would have made the connection sometime time ago. However I was already unimpressed from day one with the dog and handler and therefor biased in that quarter anyway.
However let's move on.
When the child Madeleine went missing the cadaver dog used in the search was not trained on human cadavers as this is frowned upon in the UK therefore it could only have been trained with either dead swine or the chemical cadaverine. Any attempt to retrain the dog with human cadavers would not be as successful as one trained from the beginning as a pup. You can teach dog new tricks but you can never completely wipe out the old ones.
The older the animal the less successful the retraining is and the more confused the animal becomes.
Without a body or forensic evidence of the dog’s hits the more null and void the hit results will be.
Which brings me to the McCann’s hire vehicle check, a check that I have found dubious since first viewing the video of it? If the dog was hitting on cadaverine and it is now pretty obvious it was and the McCann’s’ transported fish in the car; I respectfully suggest the investigators of the case acquaint themselves as to what chemical dead fish produce. I know they will find it to be Cadaverine which would leave them with absolutely no evidence the little girl Madeleine McCann is dead or that the parents killed her.
There have been many twists and turns in this case and from what I can see it is all based on an animal’s alleged reactions and its handler’s word as to what his dog was reacting to. It has harvested the most unprofessional blindness in forensics I have ever seen. A little girl is missing and for Law Enforcement to give up on her because of a dog is disgraceful and heartless; blinkered vision only makes the whole situation worse.
A dog barks and in the minds of the gullible that bark is deciphered as death. Tell me oh gullible ones when you have switched on your brains; what does this mean; woof, woof, woof?
********
So now we're on to dead, rotting fish in the McCanns hire car...maybe this is why Gerry McCann made sure to mention Sean's new love of sea bass!

That's a big bunch of straws that he's grasping in that post!
He seems to be forgetting, or conveniently ignoring to suit his/TM's agenda, that the dogs searched all the apartments of the group and 10 cars in total and only positively indicated in the McCanns. Gerry claims the smell in the car was from rotting meat or dirty nappies but now we have some carelessly discarded fish thrown into the mix! If he's suggesting that the dogs reacted to semen, then I dread to think how he explains the scent on a bible and cuddle-cat!

And the erm.... the frigid T7 and all others staying at OC - no silly billy - the poor dog wouldn't know where to start.
Never get past the main street - all those people wandering around.
