Anyway, in that clip BS definitely says that Clarence Mitchell "said they're guilty, in his opinion"

I have no idea where he gets that from. I have never heard CM say that he thinks they are guilty.
I have tried to have serach for it but no joy.

I wish Bernt had run all this past Peter (who knows 99.99999999% of everything about this case) before publication...we all know what Team McCann are like with their litigation.

You only have to ask Gonçalo Amaral, Tony Bennett and Pat Brown about that.

Brenda Leyland didn't get the opportunity to defend herself, of course, but was still gotten rid of in the most awful of circumstances...whether by her own hand, or not, as the case may be.

Anne, PinkGladioli already replied and pointed out that he/she was referring  to the "McCanns spokesman thinks they were guilty" clip.

Anyway, all will be revealed later on today and things should be clearer

BS is right saying that Clarence M was very efficient in his defense of the MCs.  He told the Daily Star on July 1 2008, that the MCs feared the Portuguese MP would “simply close the investigation saying they could do no more, without clearing them of any involvement”. The MCs, probably informed by their Portuguese lawyers, anticipated correctly the conclusions of the MP. 
Clarence M knew that the arguidos could only be exonerated if the investigation established that no crime had been committed, which was obviously impossible without the last-minute return of the missing child. Hence the spin doctor interpreted the MP press release according to his narrative, forgetting that an arguido is not a charged individual. He addressed the press incongruously, acting as if the filing report was an acquittal, as if it had the authority of res judicata and had exonerated the MCs.
Once again in this case, erroneous information was spread all over the world like wildfire and is still spreading.

Suggesting the MCs could be guilty would certainly have tarnished that "fine piece of work".

Maybe the new witness was blackmailed by the McCanns and Co. and lived in fear. But now this person has the courage to come forward.

The lady/employee from the OC lived near the church. She is the wrong witness. Kate and Gerry thought she was the right one. But the right witness lived near the Apartment 5A/OC and saw Gerry carrying a black (trash) bag on Thursday at 2 am in the morning (Maddie died at Wednesday night, before midnight).

So i was right that someone saw Gerry with a black bag.

Someone said earlier this is the biggest cover up of a child's death ever.  I hope that's the case and there aren't more that haven't seem the same amount of fame.

It has shown a lot of media reports that will always make something out of nothing to sell copy.
