That is the core issue of the whole thing
Whether it happened late on Wednesday 2/5/7 and the activities drifted into the early hours of 3/5/7 – as Bernt Stellander proposes
OR
somewhat earlier in the evening of Thursday 3/5/7 – as I believe Pat Brown is proposing
OR
on Sunday night / Monday morning 29/30 APRIL – as I think Liz HiDeHo, and TB argue
does not alter the fact that IT = Abduction did not happen between 9:25pm and 9:27 pm on Thursday 3/5/7
I think everyone is now agreed on that last statement
Their publicity machine has been one of the most effective in recent history.
Imo on Wednesday evening after parents left. No notice because they only listen and silence=all fine for them. Furthermore they're focused on each other because of the quiz lady. Discovery when they wake up next morning, the "core issue" imo.

I agree with that. Madeleine was laying dead for many hours as they came home the worse for wear, probably in a real huff with each other and only a listening check done at best even if at all. Maybe a visual check early daylight hours when a bathroom visit was needed and it was discovered that Madeleine wasn't in her bed.AnneCGuedes wrote:PeterMac wrote:AnneCGuedes wrote:IMO, what happened didn't happen on Thursday and what did happen was discovered far too late. For all we know, it was a grift. Where, on earth did, you get the Dundee bit from?Kanga wrote:It was all a hoax - a grift devised by the McCanns to capitalise on the concocted 'tragedy of an abduction'.

Dundee has the highest crime rate in UK. Thought that would be a suitable location in the circumstances.
Personally, I think real situation was accidental death. The McCanns received unprecedented support from Govt to protect the reputation of NHS.

Re: So we now have three opposing theories
I’m more inclined to think the British govt would rather the British Public assumed that if Joe Public thinks cover up it was about saving the reputation of the NHS rather than what potentially could beKanga wrote:Clishmaclaver wrote:For all we know, it was a grift. The cover up is more than the protection of the reputation of the NHS/UK and it's worldwide. It's a protection of the national security. But why? (human trafficking?)
