Re: McCanns' Book Deal - announced 3.10pm Sunday 14 November on Twitter
Kate McCann couldn't write a book - she can hardly string a sentence together in my opinion.
I have read that Mr. Amaral is coming to the UK and there is a bidding war to interview him. Lets hope he comes soon before the McCann book of lies.
Didn't Gerry deny the fund was in trouble in Portugal a couple of days ago now they are writing a book becuase of the depletion of the fund. It seems they are out of control and shouting out any old thing in their panic.
I have to say though, I wish this ridiculousness would stop and someone in authority would get off their backsides and get this case reopened.

In the presence of a great prophet of our time
THE FULFILMENT OF PROPHECY
We have a modern-day prophet in our midst, a seer who is able to visualise the future and even make it happen. Namely...
Dr Gerald McCann.
Dr Gerald McCann, 3rd June 2007: “We want a big event to raise awareness that she is still missing…It wouldn’t be a one-year anniversary, it will be sooner than that.”
Dr Gerald McCann, 28th June 2007: “I have no doubt we will be able to sustain a high profile for Madeleine’s disappearance in the long-term”.
Therefore let there be no doubt at all that those of us fortunate enough to be alive in 2007 are living in the presence of someone with a very very special quality

Re: McCanns' Book Deal - announced 3.10pm Sunday 14 November on Twitter
Where do they find time to write a book, when they have not had any time to spare for the PJ to do a reconstruction of the events leading up to Madeleine's alleged disappearance?
One will look forward to reading any books produced by Team McCann. Would one be likely to find this book in the local library's fiction section or the parenting section? Hopefully, this book will be a full and final account of those things which Kate McCann knows about, but has never been able to bring herself to tell anybody else about.
Having read McCann's blogs etc., one seriously hopes that a person with some literary skills is helping to prepare this book for them. One will be checking to see that they spell Madeleine's name correctly throughout.

If the book is planned to be released just as the fund runs out, why were they recently begging for money? Clearly they don't expect Margaret to be found by then.
Kate McCann wants the truth to be known yet won't go and tell the truth to the investigating police officers.

Is it not a bit of an insult to Clarence Mitchell, that Kate feels she needs to write a book to "make the truth known"? What's Mitchell been getting paid for, for the past three and a half years then? And I agree with Irish Eyes, Kate could just go and make the truth known to the proper authorities, no need to write a book!

It is terribly rude to engage with a publisher before first informing the PJ, who have after all been waiting for some three and a half years to learn precisely what is that Kate and Gerald McCann ''know more'' than we do. The publishers may wish to reconsider this before the publicity machine gets too excited.

Re: McCanns' Book Deal - announced 3.10pm Sunday 14 November on Twitter
This book should prove very interesting - I can hardly wait for my copy
The disappearance of Madeleine, according to the McCanns - will all those inconcistencies finally be cleared up? More like they will drop theirselves right in it, and we have it in writing, and in English. They can`t blame poor translations or bad media for anything that they have written. The Anti`s will be pulling this book to shreds.
Are we getting ready for a line by line analysis of this Tony.

McCanns sign deal for Madeleine book
BOOSTING FUND: Kate and Gerry McCann.
Published Date: 14 November 2010
Kate and Gerry McCann have signed a deal to write a book about the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine, their publishers announced yesterday.
After a major bidding war, Transworld won the rights to the couple's account of how the little girl vanished on a family holiday to Portugal in 2007 and their efforts to find her.
All proceeds from the book will go to the McCanns' official fund to look for Madeleine, which had been in danger of running out next year.
Precise details of the publishing deal have not been released, but a source said it included a "substantial" advance and "enhanced royalties" giving the couple a bigger share of profits from sales.
The book, simply entitled Madeleine, will be published on April 28 next year to coincide with the fourth anniversary of the child's disappearance.
Mrs McCann, 42, said: "My reason for writing is simple – to give an account of the truth. Publishing this book has been a very difficult decision and is one that we have taken after much deliberation and with a very heavy heart.
However, in the last few months, with the depletion of Madeleine's Fund, it is a decision that has virtually been taken out of our hands.
"Every penny we raise through its sales will be spent on our search for Madeleine. Nothing is more important to us than finding our little girl."
Her husband, also 42, added: "We are hopeful that this book may help the investigation to find Madeleine in other ways too.
"Our hope is that it may prompt those who have relevant information – knowingly or not – to come forward and share it with our team. Somebody holds that key piece of the jigsaw."
[ How many pieces have you got in your jigsaw so far, Doctor? ]
Transworld has acquired the rights to publish the book –which is being written by the McCanns themselves – in the UK, the Commonwealth and Europe.
The west London-based publisher is home to best-selling authors including The Da Vinci Code writer Dan Brown, fantasy novelist Terry Pratchett and theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.
A source said the McCanns' book, which will have a recommended retail price of £20, was expected to be a big seller.
Transworld publisher Bill Scott-Kerr said: "It is an enormous privilege to be publishing this book.
"We are so pleased to be joining Kate and Gerry McCann in the Find Madeleine campaign."
Deals for newspaper serialisations and translations of the book are now expected to be negotiated.
The McCanns, from Rothley, Leicestershire, are fighting a legal battle against former Portuguese detective Goncalo Amaral over his book alleging that Madeleine died in the apartment and that her parents faked her abduction - something they strongly deny.
The appeal court in Lisbon last month overturned an injunction obtained by the couple banning publication of Mr Amaral's work, Maddie: The Truth Of The Lie.
But a source close to the McCanns said their decision to write their own book had nothing to do with rebutting Mr Amaral's allegations.
"It certainly hasn't been prompted by him," the source said.
Madeleine was nearly four when she vanished from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in the Algarve on May 3, 2007, as her parents dined with friends nearby.
Despite a massive police investigation and huge publicity worldwide, she has not been found.
The official Portuguese inquiry into Madeleine's disappearance was formally shelved in July 2008, although private detectives employed by the McCanns have continued the search.

Irish Eyes,
Sharp observation. What does that say? She is dead.
If she's alive I will eat my computer. Can anyone imagine they are planning to release the book on the day they started their holiday 28 April...4th anniversary, 4 years later and they are adamant Maddie is alive and unharmed. It would be interesting to know which Prince they thought took Maddie...surely this bit will come out in the serialisation.
Anyway their book will counter their libel suit. Their book will backfire on them big time and all their allegations in the suit can be dismissed right away as rendered redundant by their book.
Their book will probably sell if the Libel is over and they lost...people will buy the controversy if nothing else. Who wants the parents version 4 years down the line? If they have a truth to tell, tell that to the police.
