Madeleine Beth McCann 'born 12 May 2003' disappeared on the evening of 3 May 2007 from her bed in a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, in Portugal's Algarve region. Sadly Madeleine remains missing to this very day.

On 3rd May this year, Madeleine McCann went missing. That is one of the very few facts in what has become the news story of 2007. Her parents Kate and Gerry have gone from victims of a terrible tragedy to suspects in the disappearance of their own child.

That's tripe, by her own admission she only did one check.

You can see, Gerry is not at all keen on Kate answering questions, he's a control freak and terrified she may say something unscripted.

Gerry's answers are well rehearsed.

1. That depends on which version of the truth you listen to.

2. He certainly is - many many examples of his dominance can be seen in their recorded interviews ! If it wasn't so serious it would be funny, watching him enjoying the limelight.

3. So are the interviews well rehearsed - put them in front of a hard talking interviewer and they would crumble under the pressure. The Jeremy Paxman interview being one such example of Gerry McCann's inability to stand his ground under pressure - not forgetting when he had a tantrum and left the interview.

No wonder they are terrified of a court appearance!

How many posters on here can wave there arms about, walk and recite the alphabet backwards as quick as they can in the normal way.

I can't recite the alphabet backwards sat on my behind thinking about it.

I'm very wary of these experts, thank goodness they only operate in an advisory capacity.

This video was recorded only two weeks after Madeleine was reported missing but Kate McCann appears to have recovered very quickly, she only blamed herself for the first couple of days. I venture to suggest such a tragedy would never ever leave you - to your dying day.

In due course I'm going to pick this apart from the very beginning to the very end!

The first sentence Kate McCann utters refers to 'we were checking regularly'. Getting their defence in, before mentioning Madeleine. Horrible pair.

Madeleine McCann: Parents lose latest legal battle over ex-detective’s comments

Nice try Evening Standard but so diluted result = nothing much.

Next time you do an up-date, if there is a next time, try reading the entire ECHR conclusion and report the salient points, that's to say the truth the whole truth and nothing but the turth.

Note: Gerry and Kate McCann were not made arguidos for a short time, the status for both started after the PJ interviews early September 2007, after which they very swiftly returned to the UK, having previously declared on more than one occasion - they would never leave Portugal without their daughter, Madeleine. The PJ investigation was archived in July 2008 for lack of evidence.

They remain the prime suspects in the disappearance of their daughter until such times as conclusive evidence is found to exonerate them. to prove their innocence.

The truth is in the detail - it doesn't go away because you gloss over the facts.
