Baby boys are preferred, so the balance of female to males is heavily out of proportion. I saw a horrific programme about baby girls being put in 'dying rooms'.

So... The World Economic Forum holds a Cyber Attack event like Event 201.

And a Cyber Attack actually happens... on the world's biggest meat supplier.

Of course it does.

Height restrictions were dropped as Asian people were shorter.

Assistance with applications from ethnic minority candidates was available and encouraged.

There was at that time an understanding that policing was considered a low job by people of ethnicity. This might be they come from corrupt countries where police are as bad as criminals.

White British police showed themselves to be institutionally corrupt at the highest levels. Eventually these officers were found out and prosecuted.

Going back in time there was also a commitment to enrol a small percentage from the armed forces.

I have no point to make.

It has recently been suggested that the status of a Public SERVANT may not exactly resonate with people who are still  complaining about historical events of 300 years ago.
In the Indian sub-continent Police were of low social status, and only very senior officers were considered to be "gentlemen".
They did not, of course, have a system of rising through the ranks. They had, and I believe still have, a distinct officer and other ranks 'caste" system, possibly inherited from the British raj, but conforming to existing caste structures.
One of our PCs complained bitterly to the Superintendent about not having been put forward for promotion to Sgt. with the immortal words "But my grandfather was a Lieutenant-Colonel in New Delhi".
He was eventually promoted to Central Division, but the fact that he was unintelligible on the radio was a major issue.
His shift simply could not understand him, and knew knew that if they continued to ask him to repeat his message they would eventually be accused of racism.
They did the only thing possible, and at a briefing on Night Shift they simply walked out, told the Inspector why, and went home.
Mutiny, desertion, failing to perform duty in public office . . ., extremely serious offences for an Police officer.  And this was Central Division, Nottingham City Centre.
They were all re-distributed round the Force.  I got two of them
NOT ONE was disciplined.
The Force could not risk a full hearing with the Sgt giving oral evidence.
They persuaded him to resign and offered him a huge amount of totally unlawful compensation - I suspect with a tight non-disclosure clause.

But he went on the figures as Ethnic minority holding Sgt rank

That too.   And the wall of silence one meets trying to investigate within these "communities' is very depressing.
But the, I suppose if the penalty for speaking to the "Babylon".   Of should I say De Babbilaaan raas claats
is a severe beating or in another community sudden unexplained death, then one can imagine their reluctance to get involved.

For both "communities' the Laws of England and Wales simply do not apply to them.
One lot prefer Shari'a law, the other the law of the jungle enforced with the knife, gun and machete.

Meanwhile there is another force to reckon with.

A colonial system of law and governance that forces innocent people to be locked away and severed from fellow man.  That takes away our fundemental right as human beings .... freedom!

A system that deprives chidren of their fundemental right to a decent standard of education.

A system with doors wide open to corruption, nepotism and old school tie brethren.

A system that allows institutional child abuse to continue unchecked.

A system that encourages the media to fabricate stories to deceive the public.

A system of law and governance that cares not one iota for the people, only for self interest.

And that's only touching the surface ....

That's it - pollute the beautiful cornish countryside with your cavalcade of motorised Bond-Mobiles. Is this geezers life really that valuable?

Why Biden’s £1.2m Cadillac is wreaking havoc on the narrow lanes of Cornwall

The Beast might be bulletproof, but it's no match for British country roads. Our motoring expert lends the President some advice

By Jeremy Taylor 11 June 2021 • 3:20pm

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The best laid plans of presidents and men often go awry. Joe Biden’s entourage of 400 secret service personnel faced a Cornish conundrum when the leader of the free world landed in the West Country for this weekend’s G7 summit.

Having arrived on the wide-open expanses of RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk aboard Air Force One, Mr Biden was then transferred to Cornwall in a giant chopper, to make the rest of his journey on narrower roads. And that’s where the logistical problems started.

The US President doesn’t travel lightly and along with him came a £1.2m Cadillac, nicknamed ‘The Beast’. The 18ft-long behemoth doesn’t quite match the dimensions of a Royal Navy frigate moored off the coast for his protection but it does pack plenty of firepower.

Loaded with shotguns, tear gas cannons and smoke-screens, the specially-built Cadillac features five-inch thick bulletproof windows which are capable of withstanding chemical and biological attack.

Weighing a hefty nine tons, the sealed cabin is equipped with emergency oxygen and a supply of Mr Biden’s blood type for medical emergencies. Even the door handles deliver a 120-volt shock for any G7 protestor mad enough to try and grab them.

laugh

I've cut the rest of the report as it's more a motor show than an international event of any importance.

Far be it for me to suggest a video conference but then I guess that's not such a good marketing ploy - is it.

The Political Spectrum: Have Your Say - Page 19 Empty Re: The Political Spectrum: Have Your Say

Post by Verdi 12.06.21 13:18

I pinched this from a Telegraph article today..

Should we teach toddlers to swear?

Families may have been concerned by this week’s news that certain swear words are to be allowed in PG rated films. Reportedly the list of permissible curses will include “s---”. (Yes, that’s right. Children will be allowed to hear a word in a film that their parents aren’t allowed to read in a newspaper.)

According to a study, however, we shouldn’t worry. Because experts believe that swearing may be actually good for us – even children.

I suppose the theory is worth pondering. Certainly there are lucrative career paths open to the skilled swearer, from television dramatist to Downing Street aide. Even so, some parents may need convincing, and it is likely that we are still some way from pupils being taught to swear on the national curriculum.

Personally, though, I would go even further than the experts. I think children should be exposed to obscene language from the earliest possible age. Replace Teletubbies with Trainspotting, Peppa Pig with Pulp Fiction, and Snoopy with Snoop Dogg. It’s for their own good.

After all, we know why the young take up swearing. It’s to rebel against adult authority. To cause horror and dismay among their stuffy elders. So if those stuffy elders endorse swearing, the young will rebel by not swearing. Instead, they will be defiantly, subversively, outrageously polite.

Mark my words. Attendances at Sunday school will soar.

big grin
