My pleasure  thumbsup

I'm revising the transcript and rewriting some lines for purposes of accuracy.

I should have Part 1 with Portuguese subtitles ready by Monday, which will then be uploaded onto Youtube and other video-sharing platforms (BrandNewTube ?)

Yes, I have downloaded Part 1 from Richard's website (http://madeleinefilms.net/) and added the Portuguese subtitles, with a yellow font color and a black background, pretty much like in the Spanish version.

The video quality will get slightly worse because I have to burn the subtitles into the video itself, but it's still pretty good nonetheless...

I was thinking about a name for the Youtube channel that we are going to create.

What do you think of "Grupo de Investigação sobre o Caso Madeleine McCann" (Madeleine McCann Research Group in Portuguese)?

I finished revising the transcript and I've replayed Part 1 many times, to check if the subtitles are placed correctly.

The video should be posted here on CMOMM, after the Youtube channel is created.

Of course, that would be really great. I suggest:

Grupo de Investigação sobre o Caso Madeleine McCann (GICMM).

People will remember the acronym

For the profile picture of the channel, would you like to put the eye with the distinctive coloboma mark, as displayed on the left side of the forum's search bar?

Yes, I think that would be great Paulo as I use it here as a sort of logo.

Actually, Tony might prefer this:

Anglo-Portuguese Alliance: WORKSHOP New_mm11

I'll make another one with the letters GICMM instead so Tony can choose...

In addition to the change in acronym, the icon below it could be changed to a small Youtube logo.

I think probably we want to stick with GICMM. The event occurred in Portugal and people in Portugal would want their own authorities to solve this case if possible. The whole purpose of this translation is top raise awareness in Portugal, after all.

The acronym PJGA stuck well, didn't it?

GICMM could also stand for

Groups Investigating the Case of Madeleine McCann.

But can I ask, is it possible for TWO icons to be placed side by side *: GCIMM and then MMRG?

OK, so here's the original

Anglo-Portuguese Alliance: WORKSHOP New_mm18

and here's two suggestions
Anglo-Portuguese Alliance: WORKSHOP Colobo22
Anglo-Portuguese Alliance: WORKSHOP New_mm17

I think the last one looks best as it matches the original.

I wouldn't be able to use the youtube logo cos of copyright.

I personally like the first one.

If we can't have the Youtube logo (due to copyright issues), the logo in the first one looks more appropriate considering the identity of the group.

What do you think?

In order to keep the thread dedicated to the Portuguese translation of Richard D Hall's Madeleine McCann videos true to purpose, would members please continue to discuss the technicalities of production here.

This Workshop can also be a 'go to' place for ideas and any other technical, graphical or formatting issues, specific to this new Sub-Forum.

I have moved the posts relative to the video progress and technicalities here.

Thank you.

Paulo,

Amongst all your working documents, do you have a straight verbatim Portuguese translation of Richard D Hall's video, that can be brought over to this sub-forum - in addition to the sub-titled video you are working on?

I mean without the subtitling time stamps, if you get my drift.

No pressure!
