I make no apologies for this repeat, not for the entertainment value of Mister Clarence Mitchell, looking and sounding like he forgot to go to bed after a night on the razzle but for the words of Jim Gamble, ex-Executive Director of the CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command). Listen very carefully to what he has to say.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command, or CEOP Command, is a command of the UK's National Crime Agency, and is tasked to work both nationally and internationally to bring online child

By all appearances, the Metropolitan Police Operation Grange initiative was launched in May 2011 (coincidently the same time as Kate McCann's book was published), after Jim Gamble of the CEOP produced the confidential report, so confidential it was later published for public perusal - but that's another story.  In this video, Jim Gamble speaks highly of the Metropolitan Police - they being the only force in the world with the expertise of handling a case of child abudction such as that of Madeleine Mccann.

So this leads me to raise a couple of  points.

1.  If the Metropolitan Police are so exceptional, why nearly ten years later, haven't they made any significant progress?

2.  At the time of Madeleine McCann's disappearance, Jim Gamble was working for the CEOP - tasked to work both nationally and internationally.  I question his claim, often repeated since, that he was involved with the investigation from the start as the only official investigation was conducted by the Portuguese police.  The force who Gamble glibly says on record - bungled the investigation.

If nothing else, having broadcast a plea for public assistance, Gamble set-up an online platform to enable the public to up-load their holiday photographs - to assist the investigation, so said he.

It seems mighty strange to me, with all his contacts in the underworld and his alleged experience and his claimed input into the investigation, Jim Gamble missed Christian Brueckner - who he seems to think is now of great importance.

Without further ado, the video..

I wanna bring this from the 'VIDEO OF THE DAY' thread, because it is remarkable, if you ask me:

@Silentscope wrote:Previous “Prime Suspect” Raymond Hewitt refused to state his Alibi.

Sounds familiar so far...
Indeed, it does.

So, let's list the main points from this video:

1. A pedophile is the main suspect of Madeleine McCann's disappearance

2. He was in the area (or close to it) when Madeleine was reported missing

3. According to the media, he looks strikingly similar to one of the sketches produced during the initial investigation (he does not actually)

4. He's quoted in the media, denying the whole thing

5. He was approached by Portuguese police with regards to this case, but was never formally questioned

6. Pseudo-expert Mark William Thomas comes on to speak about the "development", giving it credibility

Does anybody see a trend here?

@pauloalexandre

Trendy is:

1. It can ONLY BE A PEDO that is responsible.

2. He was 60Km away in his Mobile Home at the time.

3. Any Sketch by anyone  Never matches the Suspect perfectly.

4. All will deny it - because it is true!

5. PJ probably knew the truth as far as they are concerned.
See unterdenteppichgekehrt thread.

6. Mr M W Thomas is still after weeks of reportedly finding that the other end of the telephone call was a Pedo on the Darknet, silent.

7. Both CB and Hewlett were not expected to live much longer, hence his now Solitary protective Cell.

Too many coincidences...

Only three possibilities for me.

1. They are going to Fit him up so good in a Court of Law, that we all have to believe it.

2. Or CB will be “Epsteined” and we will be led to believe it was him anyway.

3. He confesses that he made a Mess that someone else had to clear up after him.

Unless anyone has any other ideas?

I would guess along the following lines:

In attempt to frame a patsy and exonerate the official suspects who have a number of deals with the press via he who controls what comes out in press and following on from the Netflix manipulation film.

1.  They search for a patsy
2.  They dig up as much background information as possible on the patsy
3.  They locate people who have associated with him in the past
4.  They report that the patsy may be a suspect
5.  They get these associates to make accusations about him and report it to the police in germany
6.  The German police have to investigate as there have been so many reports
7.  McCanns get on the bandwagon and ask the Germans to also investigate him in Madeleines disappearance
8.  A media circus starts with the patsy being a suspect in Madeleines disappearance followed by many reports of what else the suspect is alleged to have done.
9.  The investigation into the other offences is falsely linked to the McCann case.

Watching a video that was posted on here earlier, Wolters says that Bruckner is being investigated for a number of cases but he would not confirm that there was any link to the McCann case.

I would say that it was these other cases that Brueckner is being investigated for and the McCann case has been tagged on and blown out of proportion.

Possible, but the PJ and Dr. Amaral seem to have ruled him out of Maddies case years ago.

Inga G, Claudia R and many other “Cold cases” are being investigated because of him.
It is only because of the Telephone call and Bar “confession “ that he was linked at all, then other coincidences started to pile up when they looked deeper into his case.

The German papers had hidden CB’s identity at first.
Who printed his Full Photo either should have known /or must have hoped for something to happen to him.

True, it has not been Publicly revealed who was in the Bar with CB at the time, but it is believed to be someone looking for a deal on a lighter sentence for his own crimes.

The other end of CB’s telephone call (assuming it was his Mobile) has still not come forward or been identified as far as I know.

Time will tell.

The correct term would be "have been investigated." All investigations into a probable connection between CB and the cases Inga G., Claudia R., Peggy K., etc., have already been dropped as the suspicion could not be corroborated. The only ones that keep embarrassing themselves with this CB nonsense are Hans Wolters and the Braunschweig public prosecutors office. And of course all the media who still fall for this nonsense.

Not forgetting team McCann .... it suits their long term agenda.

It makes me wonder, apart from the the media aspect, why this nonsense is being turned inside out here on CMOMM.

We are looking for the truth, not a substitute for the truth. We've been through all that over and over again in the past 13 years.

If sceptics want evidence to support what I say, just look at the media coverage of the case of Madeleine McCann over the years. In particular, the first 12 months.

Rather than concentrating on what ifs and maybes and supposing, let's stick to the evidence.

The German prisoner does not fit with the evidence. It was established by the PJ beyond reasonable doubt that Madeleine McCann was not abducted. The specialist dogs, Eddie and Keela were seconded to Praia da Luz to assist the investigation. Between the two, they alerted to the scent of death and bodily fluids. Any thoughts beyond that which might incorporate an errant stranger would have been detected years ago. Unless of course you go along with the bizarre theory that the entire population of Praia da Luz and environs, residents and visitors alike, were all in on it!

This is just another red herring - or breakfast kipper if you prefer. Creating diversion is what team McCann do best, it works every time - the evidence of which is proven by this thread alone.

'ONE WORD, GUILTY' Witness who started new Madeleine McCann probe says ‘guilty’ Christian B must ‘stay in jail for a long time’
Exclusive

Nick Pisa

10 Sep 2020, 22:30Updated: 11 Sep 2020, 0:42

THE key witness who started the new Madeleine McCann probe has said of prime suspect Christian B: “One word. Guilty.”

Helge Busching, 48, was the first person to name him to police.

He was traced by The Sun to Corsica, and stood by claims Christian B was behind her disappearance in 2007.

The recycling worker said he hopes Christian B will “stay in jail for a long time”.

The chief suspect is currently in jail for drugs offences, and is appealing a seven-year sentence for raping a 73-year-old woman.

Busching, who knew his fellow German from their time together in the resort where Madeleine vanished, said: “He is in the right place at the moment and hopefully he will stay there a long time.”

In 2017, Busching was the first person to give police Christian B’s name in connection with Madeleine’s disappearance.

In a redacted statement seen by The Sun, he claims Christian B, 43, told him he was involved in her 2007 abduction.

Busching said the revelation emerged in 2008 when they were at a kite festival in Orgiva, Spain.

His statement talks about a “German male person, whom I know by the name of Christian”.

He adds how he will “talk in detail of his knowledge’’ of his connection with Madeleine, whose parents Kate and Gerry have never given up hope of finding alive.

Christian B, who has been convicted for child sex abuse, was identified in June this year by German cops as the prime suspect in the three-year-old’s disappearance. Officers also said they had “concrete evidence” she was dead.

Busching and another friend Manfred Seyferth knew Christian B from when they all lived in Praia da Luz, the Portuguese resort where Madeleine was on holiday.

Busching’s own previous convictions include assaulting a female beggar in Brindisi, Italy, in 2011.

Six years later he was arrested after trying to smuggle migrants between Greece and Italy.

While under investigation he was put in touch with Operation Grange — the Met Police’s team investigating Madeleine’s disappearance — and gave them Christian B’s name.

Greek media reported this summer that their police said he wanted to speak to British cops. Grange detectives flew to Athens to question Busching in 2017.

According to an internal Greek police report, Busching’s information was described as “given voluntarily and without monetary or other consideration”.

It added that it had been “cross-checked and is considered a reliable source”. It also revealed how Busching had tried to report his concerns to the Portuguese police but had been fobbed off.
'I HOPE HE STAYS IN JAIL'

The report detailed how Busching was in custody at the time after three migrants were found in his car at Igoumenitsa in Greece.

He was jailed for two years and released in 2019.

Met detectives and their German counterparts were investigating his claims before they were made public this summer.

When The Sun tracked him down to a village in Corsica, Busching said: “I am not allowed to say anything about Christian B but I hope he stays in jail.’’

Asked if Christian B had ever shown him images of Madeleine, he said: “Look, I can’t talk about any of this. OK? I’m not allowed.”

Before he left, The Sun asked what he thought of Christian B and he said: “One word. Guilty.”

It is unclear why Busching waited nearly ten years before telling cops of Christian B’s alleged involvement.

Busching and Seyferth helped convict Christian B last December for the rape and torture of a 73-year-old in Praia da Luz in 2005. Christian B and Seyferth regularly broke into apartments there.

The American victim told cops her attacker filmed the attack and appeared to get a thrill out of seeing her begging him to stop.

Busching and Seyferth are said to have stolen a video camera in Christian B’s home while he was in jail for theft. They contacted police after seeing the images and told them it was Christian B.

He has denied the charge and is appealing a seven-year sentence.

Friedrich Fulscher, Christian B’s lawyer, insisted his client is innocent of rape and has nothing to do with Madeleine’s disappearance.

Mr Fulscher has been in Portugal this week looking for witnesses who he believes will clear him.

He told The Sun: “My client is being investigated on the claims of two very dubious and unbelievable witnesses who are convicted criminals themselves and have problems with drink and drugs.”

Christian B is in jail serving 21 months for drug offences and was eligible for parole in June — with officials considering his request.

Last week he was linked to a sex attack on a ten-year-old German girl on a beach in Portugal a month before Madeleine was taken.

Hans Christian Wolters, the lead prosecutor investigating Madeleine’s disappearance, said of Busching: “I know the name, but I see no reason to tell you anything about this person. Hope you understand that.”

"It is unclear why Busching waited nearly ten years before telling cops of Christian B’s alleged involvement."
Waiting for a decent offer, perhaps ?

****
To spell it out for those who are hard of understanding :-
The issue is not that there is no evidence that Christian Brückner or Raymond Hewlett, or Robert Murat, or Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney, Peter Davy, Daniel Whiddon, Harry Hawke, Uncle Thomas Cobleigh . . .
or indeed anyone else chosen apparently at random “DID IT” –
The issue is that there is no evidence and anyone “DID IT”.
There is no evidence that ’IT’ was ‘DID’ in the first place.
In that place at that time in that way.

What we can be sure of is this –
Madeleine is missing.  This fact was reported around 10pm on Thursday 3rd May 2007

And it is worth repeating as often as we can, so that everyone remembers and understands;
the only people who insist that Madeleine was abducted by a paedophile are the principal suspects – the parents – and neither they, nor any of the people who have supported them in this story over the past 13 years are able to point to a single piece of what any rational person would term ‘evidence’, nor to provide a coherent scenario how “IT” might have been performed, or in which “IT” might have been achieved within the parameters so rigidly set by the principal suspects – the parents - themselves.

And if that is correct they we may tentatively suggest that Operation Grange and the Bundeskriminalamt –the German FBI / CID, (the BKA) might spend their time more productively hunting Unicorns.

Funny how the Sun “tracked him down” when Herr Fulscher was not even sure who he is?

It seems the German papers are now Qouting the Sun, instead of the other way round.

There is a very great deal of misunderstanding about the identity of the unicorn.

Can I clear this up?

The Bible speaks of unicorns. So did many ancient societies, who also spoke of the 'one-horned beast'.

Here is the unicorn, alive and well today >>>

The disappearance of Madeleine McCann: Have they got the right man this time?

Sky News talks to the lawyers facing off over the latest person to be investigated in connection with Madeleine's disappearance.

Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be - Page 2 Skynews-author-martin-brunt_4395800

Martin Brunt

Crime correspondent @skymartinbrunt

Friday 11 September 2020 10:25, UK

A new suspect has emerged in the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

The focus on him is the latest in a series of twists and turns in one of the most high-profile missing person cases in recent history, which saw the three-year-old disappear from a holiday apartment in the Portuguese resort Praia da Luz in 2007.

Sky News crime correspondent Martin Brunt has been on Christian B's trail in Portugal and Germany to find out more about him.

Among the inmates of Kiel's high-security jail in northern Germany, there is one prisoner who has become the most notorious of all. He's isolated for his own protection and allowed to exercise, alone, for only one hour a day.

With publication of his full name restricted under German privacy laws, he is only known as Christian B - but there can't be many who don't know exactly who he is.

He's German, aged 43, and what used to be called a drifter - flitting between Germany and Portugal for many years and working a variety of odd jobs when he wasn't committing crimes.

It's three months since the convicted paedophile, rapist and drug trafficker was identified as the latest suspect in the Madeleine McCann case, suspected of abducting and killing the little British girl who vanished 13 years ago during a family holiday in Portugal.

The case against him is circumstantial - he is a convicted paedophile, he lived in the area, and on the night she disappeared, his mobile phone was in use nearby. The next day he changed the registration of one of his vehicles.

As investigators continue to search for the vital evidence they need to charge him with Madeleine's abduction, Christian B is now the subject of three new investigations in Portugal.

I've covered the Madeleine McCann mystery since she disappeared. Over the years I've reported on various suspects, all of them eventually ruled out, but I wanted to find out, have they got the right man this time?

The prosecutor versus the defence lawyer

I've travelled far and wide across Europe covering this case. The first stop on my latest journey is Braunschweig in central Germany to meet the man in charge of the investigation into the connection between Christian B and Madeleine.

Braunschweig prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters believes Madeleine is dead and Christian B killed her, though he won't reveal why he is so certain.

But three months after he launched a global public appeal for new, vital clues, he still hasn't got enough evidence to charge him.

At his office near the reconstructed medieval town centre, Mr Wolters said: "We have found nothing in the past three months to make us think we've got the wrong suspect, but the evidence we have now is the same we had when we made our first appeal on 3 June.

"We have had hundreds of calls - 400 to us and hundreds to Scotland Yard - but we haven't got the information we need to charge Christian B. But there are some clues that make us hopeful our investigation will be more successful," he added.

The German, British and Portuguese authorities have targeted Christian B for three years, since a criminal associate of his told police he had effectively confessed to him, in a bar conversation, that he had abducted Madeleine.

But they've been unable to find forensic evidence that links the suspect to the victim, even though they have examined the VW camper van and Jaguar car he was driving at the time.

Mr Wolters said: "There is no forensic evidence, but it is not necessary to have forensics to charge our suspect. We just need more evidence, but I can't say what it is we are looking for though there are different possibilities. Maybe a witness, a photo or a video."

He added: "Someone asked me if we had found Madeleine's clothes. If we had found something like that it would be great for our investigation, but it's not true."

The prosecutor described as "speculative" a recent two-day dig at Christian B's former home outside Hanover, saying: "We are checking everywhere he lived and we know from his past that he liked to bury things like the USB computer sticks that were found in a previous investigation.

"I can't tell you what we found."

Mr Wolters said the Portuguese police had searched some wells on information supplied by the Germans and there had been other searches that were not publicised.

The suspect is imprisoned 300km away in the port of Kiel, where he's nearing the end of a sentence for drug trafficking.

His lawyer Friedrich Fulscher insists the prosecutor is wrong and Christian B isn't the man who abducted Madeleine, though he hasn't been shown the evidence against him.

In his spacious office, 2km from the prison, Mr Fulscher said: "I don't know any more after three months because I can't look in the prosecutor's files. He still hasn't told us anything. It isn't fair for him to keep accusing Christian B of killing the girl without telling us the evidence he has.

"There is a legal principle, that both sides have to have the same weapons. It's time for the prosecutor to show his cards, because he is prejudging my client in public without giving him the chance to go into action."

He accused the prosecutor of turning the public against Christian B and is worried about the suspect's future if he is never charged over Madeleine.

Mr Fulscher said: "If he is not charged there will be no chance for him to lead a normal life anywhere in the world, because everyone will connect him to the case. He should have the right to go back into society and be rehabilitated."

The rape trial
Christian B moved to Portugal in 1995 and flitted between the Algarve coast and Germany for many years. In Portugal he had a reputation as a prolific burglar, but it was also the scene of his most serious crime.

In 2005, wearing a balaclava mask, he broke into the beachside villa of an elderly American widow in Praia da Luz, dragged her upstairs to a bedroom, tied and gagged her, then assaulted and raped her. Police found no fingerprints or DNA.

He wasn't convicted until December 2019, when he was tried in Germany, where he was already serving a sentence for drug trafficking. He was jailed for seven years, though the sentence was postponed pending his appeal over the legality of his extradition from Italy.

Mr Fulscher, who didn't represent him at the rape trial, believes Christian B was convicted on thin prosecution evidence.

The most damning was that one of his hairs was found in his victim's bed, though the suspect suggested it may have been carried there by a cat he stroked regularly outside the villa which was on his route home from the beach.

The other main evidence was a statement from the victim who did not appear in court and the testimony of two former criminal associates, one of whom is an informant against him in the Madeleine McCann case.

In fact, Christian B became the main suspect in the Madeleine case when the witness called police to tell them he had confessed to him in a bar. At the time, the informant is thought to have been in jail in Greece.

Mr Fulscher said: "Both the main witnesses are the worst witnesses. They are criminals, accusing each other of drugs and alcoholism, having Alzheimer's and telling lies. You can't believe anything they say, yet the court said they were reliable witnesses.

"One of them was sentenced in Greece for seven years for human trafficking and he got out of prison really quickly in Greece. Not even two years. Why he was released after such a time, there may be different explanations. Maybe he got some benefit because he helped to solve things."

Crucial evidence from the two witnesses was their story of breaking into Christian B's house and stealing homemade videos of him raping several victims, though not the American widow.

But the court was not shown the videos and one of the witnesses told the judges the tapes had been destroyed in a caravan blaze.

Mr Fulscher said: "What makes it worse is that the witnesses weren't questioned for long. The whole case took only three days.

"I would have spent three days just questioning one of the witnesses. The videos were not shown in court, where they are is a mystery."

His lawyer says he was later told the videos had been sold to a man who ran a remote farm retreat in Portugal.

I drove for more than an hour in scorching heat into the hills above the Algarve coast, along twisting roads and dusty tracks to the farm that sits on a mountain top with glorious views across the Alentejo region.

But it was a fruitless journey, because the man denied any knowledge of the tapes and the witnesses. And he wasn't pleased to see me.

New investigations

Investigators seem determined to prosecute Christian B for other crimes, even if they don't find the evidence they still need to charge him with the abduction of Madeleine McCann.

That's illustrated by the case of Hazel Behan, a young Irish holiday rep who was raped in her apartment in Praia da Rocha on the Algarve coast in 2004.

When she read in June that Christian B had been convicted for the 2005 rape of an elderly American widow in a nearby resort, she asked Portuguese police to reinvestigate her unsolved case.

Her description of her ordeal bore remarkable similarities to the American victim's rape a year later.

Portuguese detectives went back through their files, but a decision has only just been made not to reopen the investigation.

In a letter to Sky News, the prosecutor at Portimao court wrote: "The investigation will not be reopened because of the statute of limitations."

In Portugal, some criminal cases cannot be reinvestigated after 15 years.

But we've also learned that the authorities in Germany - where the statute of limitations for sex crimes is 20 years - are investigating the rape, with two witnesses we know of being asked to give statements to German investigators.

German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters said: "I cannot confirm right now officially that we have an investigation in that case, but we have an eye on it. Maybe we are doing an investigation."

Christian B's lawyer Friedrich Fulscher said: "Hazel B has said the perpetrator had a noticeable tattoo or birthmark on his right buttock, but you can exclude Christian B because he doesn't have anything like that."

Two more cases being re-examined because of suspicions around Christian B are alleged sexual exposure to young girls in Portugal.

A man exposed himself to a 10-year-old German girl on Salema beach a month before Madeleine vanished in 2007. The girl's mother contacted police recently after seeing Christian B's photograph in the media.

And three years ago he was arrested for a similar allegation at a village festival in Sao Bartolomeu de Messines in the hills above the coast.

Instead of being charged, he was extradited to Germany where he was wanted for a similar crime, but now police are planning to prosecute him and are re-interviewing four young victims and witnesses.

Mr Wolters said: "If we find in our Madeleine investigation hints about other crimes then we have to look at those. It doesn't mean we are not making progress in the Maddie case."

Defence lawyer Mr Fulscher said: "I also think they're trying anything to sentence Christian B for other deeds… maybe they know they don't have enough in the Maddie case and they want to have the same result in a different way."

Other suspects

Suspects in the Madeleine McCann investigation have come and gone over the years since she vanished after being left sleeping in the family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in May 2007.

Just before paedophile Christian B became the main suspect in the Madeleine McCann case, police were pursuing a quite different theory.

It focused on another suspect in another country and involved a delicate undercover operation. I don't know if that investigation is entirely over, but I think it would be wrong to describe Christian B as the only suspect in this case.

In fact, one source told me that Christian B may be no better a suspect for Madeleine's abduction than two other principle targets.

They are the unnamed suspect, who may still be the subject of an undercover operation, and Euclides Monteiro, a sacked Ocean club waiter and thief who died two years after Madeleine vanished and was later eliminated from the inquiry.

I enjoyed Mr. Brunt's shenanigans for the last three months...

... but I think it's time for this whole charade to die out.

It's time for the Portuguese authorities to put an end to the UK media's assassination of their integrity and reinvestigate the Madeleine McCann case properly, without tolerating any interference from any internal or external force.

Personally I find that the lack of transparency (that the Lawyer is getting more Info from the Press than from the State Prosecutors Office) deeply disturbing.

This is not normal.

And as some other Members raised the Question of who is next?

Prophetic almost...

Martin Brunt is not the focus here, he's just a crime reporter for Sky News.

Journalists are not to be generally trusted, they have no scruples they are only concerned with the main chance - it matters not how they get their story. The case of missing Madeleine McCann alone has proved that to be a fact.

My interest here is what Herr Wolter has to say and the counter attack by the German prisoners lawyer. Particularly the former.

The case of missing Madeleine McCann is, on the surface, still an active investigation in Portugal - assisted by the UK police under the guise of Operation Grange. Make no mistake, the UK are in no position to investigate a crime, in this case the alleged abduction of Madeleine McCann, where Portugal retains primacy.

The police in the developed world only consult the media if they require assistance with an investigation, like help from the public. If the quotes in media reports are true then Wolter is not doing only that. He has continuously given out hints of unevidenced claims of certain guilt - in short, his approach has been very unprofessional.

I remain unconvinced about this latest revelation. Someone or something is pulling Wolter's strings. This is yet another elaborate deception orchestrated by a source close to ....
