Britain's Prince Andrew denies any involvement in Epstein sex scandal

Jeffrey Epstein signed a will just two days before he killed himself in the Manhattan federal jail, new court records show.

Disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein signed a will just two days before he killed himself in the Manhattan federal jail, new court records show.
Court papers filed last week in the US Virgin Islands list no details of beneficiaries but put the estate at more than $US577 million ($AUD851 million).
Watch in the video above: Prince Andrew denies involvement in Epstein sex scandal

The existence of the will, first reported by the New York Post, raised new questions about Epstein's final days inside the Metropolitan Correctional Centre, where he was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.
His suicide on August 10 has prompted multiple federal inquiries and cast a harsh light on staffing shortages at the Manhattan facility.
In the fall-out, the Director of the Bureau of Prisons Hugh Hurwitz has been removed from his post.
More on 7NEWS.com.au:

The filing of the will has been closely followed by lawyers representing women who claim they were sexually abused by Epstein when they were teenagers and recruited into his residences to provide him massages.

Several attorneys vowed to go after his assets even if the will had named beneficiaries, as Epstein's death means there will be no trial on the criminal charges against him.
'Give his entire estate to his victims. It is the only justice they can get.'
"Give his entire estate to his victims. It is the only justice they can get," one of those lawyers, Lisa Bloom, wrote in an email.
"And they deserve it. And on behalf of the Epstein victims I represent, I intend to fight for it."

Money alone cannot replace the "Harm,Destruction" felt by the victims of Grooming and Coherence into Sexual Abuse of Females as in Epstein's case.

Note how the "Daily Mail" is has targeted Sexual Abuse, in Mr Beech's case a "lone Fantasist" set out to destroy an MP,Lords from the "Establishment", then added in Mr P as part of the case?

Mention a certain Lord, former MP as Mr Beech did and his Son Daniel is like a ravage beast, putting the record straight, that his father never stood before a court on Child sexual Abuse, yet there are another 30 "Fantasists" awaiting Dame Alexis Jays IICSA Inquiry?

The same "Daily Mail" casting aside the names from Royal Family, Church of England,  Lord Mountbatten, Prince Charles & Andrew, Epstein with procurement's to Kingora Boy's Home in Ireland, Child Sexual abuse?

There is definately something very fishy about Mr Epstein's and his last Will & Testement, Two day's before his Death, with No Suicide watch as part of his incarceration, after a previous failed attempt?

Then the "Statement" from Buckingham Palace and Prince Andrew over relationship with Mr Epstein, Andrew at Mr Epstein's abode nearly Ten yrs ago showing both parties with Young woman, age Not given?

Flight time of Mr Epstein's Private Jet, arrival to certain destinations, Private Air fields, "Lolita express"?

Why is the queen and Her family targeted by the Daily Mail, yet certain clientle from Parliament, treated with Kid Gloves, as though these things "Never Happened Old Bean" a figment of One's imagination?

Has it never occured to the UK press, who just can't resist any good juicy scandal that the alleged relationship between the Duke of York and Virginia Roberts might have been consensual?

The royal's have got more skeletons, of the sexual variety, in the closet than Jeffrey Epstein could ever dream about.  They're all at it - with the possible exception of Her Majesty.

Don't you just love the way the UK tabloids express themselves?  Epstein's paedophile mansion roll more like a knocking shop.

If the grand old  Duke of York forced a seventeen year old to have nonconsensual sex on UK soil, or anywhere else where seventeen year olds are considered underage, then have him for it.  Otherwise give it a rest!

Mind you, I guess it gives the Kardashian posterior a well earned rest.

It's all a load of salacious media hype designed to sell copy.

Jeffrey Epstein's 'madam' Ghislaine Maxwell has been accused of sexually abusing two young sisters after helping to draw them into the pedophile's orbit in the 1990s.
When the damning and disturbing sex abuse allegations against Epstein began flowing out at an unprecedented rate last year, Maxwell was initially painted as merely a 'friend', 'ex-girlfriend' and 'associate' of the millionaire financier.
As the story progressed a darker imaged emerged as Maxwell was accused of actively helping to recruit young girls by promising to promote their careers if they joined him at his various lavish properties across the US and abroad.
The darkest portrayal yet emerged this week in a New York Times profile on Annie and Maria Farmer, who met Epstein and Maxwell in 1996.
The sisters both vividly recall being groped by Epstein and Maxwell in the summer of 1996, when Maria was 25 and Annie was 16.
Their attempts to report the alleged abuse were met by vicious threats from Maxwell and disbelief from law enforcement and members of the community she and Epstein had significant influence in.
'I did not want another young lady to go through what Annie went through,' Maria said of her attempts to get justice.
'I could handle what happened to me. I could not handle what happened to her.'
More than 20 years later, Maria is still reeling from her time in Epstein's circle. It wasn't until after he died earlier this month and she moved to a new home out of the public eye that she felt safe enough to revisit the full story.

Maria Farmer was 25 when she met Epstein in 1996 and later introduced her 16-year-old sister Annie to him. Both girls claim that they were assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell that year, Maria at his Ohio estate and Annie at his New Mexico ranch. More than 20 years later, Maria is still reeling from her time in Epstein's circle. It wasn't until after he died earlier this month and she moved to a new home out of the public eye that she felt safe enough to revisit the full story

Annie Farmer is seen outside US Federal Court in New York City on July 15, 2019, following a detention hearing for Epstein. The hearing came more than two decades after Annie claims she was groped by Maxwell at Epstein's ranch in New Mexico
Maria said she was a 25-year-old New York Academy of Art student when she was introduced to Epstein and Maxwell at an exhibit shortly before her graduation in 1996.

HOW RECENT LAW CHANGE CAN HELP EPSTEIN VICTIMS SUE

Until recently, New York's statute of limitations protected Epstein's estate from lawsuits and indeed him from criminal prosecution because some of the alleged crimes happened decades ago.
But earlier this year, New York governor Andrew Cuomo signed the Child Victims Act.
It allows child sex abuse survivors to file criminal complaints until they are 28 and civil complaints until they are 55.
Crucially, it also allowed one-year window starting August 14 for anyone, any age, to file a civil lawsuit if they had been shut out from doing so before.
Jennifer Araoz, the first to file a lawsuit against Epstein, filed hers the day after the August 14 one-year window began.
The old law was cited by authorities and alleged victims in the case of Harvey Weinstein.

She said Epstein offered her a job acquiring art for his personal collection and managing the entrance to a townhouse he was renovating.
In the months that followed she got a front row seat to Epstein's 'odd life', as the Times puts it.
Maria described Maxwell as a charming and friendly presence who made the women surrounding Epstein feel safe. She also recalled Maxwell frequently heading out and saying: 'I've got to go get girls for Jeffrey.'
'They had a driver, and he would be driving along, and Ghislaine would say, 'Get that girl,' she said. 'And they'd stop, and she'd run out and get the girl and talk to her.'
Maria said Maxwell referred to the recruits as 'nubiles'.
She recounted a time that Epstein hosted several girls and young women for what Maxwell told her was modeling auditions for a Victoria's Secret supplier.
She also remembered Donald J Trump visiting the financier's office and 'eyeing her' before Epstein told him: 'She's not for you.'
Maria expressed guilty at having accidentally helped Maxwell and Epstein set their sights on her younger sister Annie, who was 16 at the time.
She mentioned that Annie was looking at colleges, and Epstein offered to fly the younger Farmer out to New York from Arizona.
Annie described the first meeting to the Times, revealing that a sweatpants-clad Epstein welcomed her into his home with champagne and conversation about her college plans.

During her visit she went with Maria and Epstein to a movie, where the financier began rubbing her hand and lower leg.
She wrote about the incident in a diary entry from January 1996, which reads: 'It was one of those things that just gave me a weird feeling but wasn't that weird + probably normal.

'The one thing that kind of weirded me out about it was he let go of my hand when he was talking to Maria.'
Epstein later invited Annie to visit his ranch in New Mexico for a weekend and she accepted, expecting that other students would be there as well.
When she arrived and found it was only her, Epstein and Maxwell, the weekend took an uncomfortable turn.
She said Epstein subjected her to more intimate touching, and that one morning he came into her room and got into her bed because he wanted to cuddle.
She remembers Maxwell persuading her to give Epstein a foot massage and then showing Annie how to do it.
Maxwell also repeatedly asked her if she wanted a massage and wore her down until she finally undressed and got on a massage table, where Maxwell groped her bare chest.
'I don't think there was any reason for her to be touching me that way,' Annie said.
Epstein did not participate in the massage, but Annie sensed that he may have been watching the encounter.

Maria was unaware of what went on with her sister at the New Mexico ranch until after her own abusive encounter with the pair.
Around that time, the summer of 1996, Maria was focusing on her painting at Epstein's estate in Ohio when he and Maxwell came to visit her.
She recalls one night when Epstein asked her to give him a foot massage, saying that during the 'brief and awkward' encounter Epstein 'groaned with what seemed like exaggerated pleasure, followed by a yelp of pain'.
Afterward he invited her to watch TV in his bed and Maxwell joined them, Maria said.
The pair began to violently grope her, 'rubbing her body, commenting on her features, and twisting her nipples to the point of bruising', until she ran away and hid.
Maria soon discovered that three nude photographs of Annie and their then-12-year-old sister, who had modeled for her paintings, had gone missing from the storage box where she kept them.
During her desperate search for the intimate photos Maria called her art mentor, Eric Fischl, and told him about the disturbing incident with Maxwell and Epstein.
'I just kept telling Maria: "You've got to get out of there. You've got to get out of there,"' Fischl told the Times more than two decades later.
The girls' father Frank Farmer picked Maria up from the estate.
Maria confided in Annie soon after and learned that she had similar experiences with Epstein and Maxwell.
After Maria returned to New York she got a call from Maxwell, who threatened to burn all of her artwork and ruin her career.
The call prompted Maria to file a report with the NYPD about the Ohio assault and the stolen art.
Officers referred her to other agencies, including the FBI, because the assault was out of their jurisdiction, Maria said.
She said she spoke with an FBI agent but received little support and was not told whether any action would be taken.
Maria would go on to share her story with others in the art community who knew Epstein, but got the impression that none believed her.
In 2003 she and Annie gave their story to a Vanity Fair reporter commissioned to write an article about Epstein's finances and proclivity for young girls, but when it came out it had no mention of the Farmers.
Years later that reporter, Vicky Ward, said the article went in a different direction because they couldn't corroborate what the girls had said.
Ward accused Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter of squashing the story under pressure from Epstein.
Maxwell caught wind of the story and allegedly told Maria: 'Better be careful and watch your back. I know you go to the West Side Highway all the time. While you’re out there, just be really careful because there are a lot of ways to die there.'
Maria eventually abandoned her dream of becoming an artist because of the influence Epstein and Maxwell had in the industry.
She spent years in therapy trying to erase Epstein's impact and even underwent breast reduction surgery because she was haunted by his and Maxwell's comments about her chest.
Annie fared better, going on to get her PhD and become a psychotherapist. But, of course, the abuse still haunted her.

Annie Farmer is seen speaking at Epstein's bail hearing in Manhattan on July 15 as the accused pedophile looks on. The financier was set to stand trial on new charges of sexual abuse against countless victims when he died by apparent suicide in his jail cell on August 10
In 2006 the sisters were given new hope of justice when FBI agents contacted them during an investigation into allegations of underage sex abuse by Epstein in Florida.
That investigation resulted in a sweetheart plea deal that landed Epstein in jail for just 13 months.
The Farmers' said the outcome of that case was 'deeply demoralizing'.
Everything resurfaced in 2018 when the Miami Herald published a report about the plea deal, sparking an onslaught of allegations that led to Epstein being charged again this summer.
Hearing all of the new allegations caused Maria renewed pain as she wonders if she could have stopped him earlier by pushing her own story harder and louder.
'Every time I hear one of the girls tell their story, it devastates me,' she said.
She began working with lawyer David Boies in support of other victims but still feared the consequences of coming forward with her own again, even after Epstein died of an apparent suicide on August 10.
Maria recently moved to a new home in the South for increased privacy. She finally picked up painting again after relocating.
Meanwhile, Maxwell is also trying to keep a low-profile.
She hasn't been seen in public since 2016 but is said to be living in the small community of Manchester-By-The-Sea in Massachusetts.

I don't believe even a fraction of these media reports - or rather the alleged allegations made by a selection of young women.

I don't doubt for a second Epstein was a sex maniac [old usage] who abused the privileged position of wealth and power but come on .... what were half these young women doing in the company of such a dirty old man?

If you accept an invitation to go anywhere or do anything with such as Epstein, even at a very young age, you must have some idea what's expected.

A 25 year old aspiring artist, hawks her 16 year old sister along for the ride (excuse the reference).  I'm convinced nine times out of ten these young women know exactly what's expected of them, it might turn uglier than anticipated - maybe more complicated.  In such circumstances I can't feel any empathy for the so called victim.

I've seen instances of teenagers lusting after those living the high-life - or even the low-life - because of what's on offer.  They are not lured or groomed, they are there willingly and I'm talking years ago, not the 21st century where youngsters appear to be more clued-up.

When caught with trousers down, what's the first thing to do to retrieve your good honour?  Why you lie of course!

'HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS' Jeffrey Epstein was MURDERED, claims victims’ lawyer after ‘receiving new information from prison source’
EXCLUSIVE
Emma Parry, Digital US Correspondent
22 Aug 2019, 20:51Updated: 23 Aug 2019, 7:52
A LAWYER for Jeffrey Epstein's victims says he has obtained new information that suggests the billionaire paedo did NOT commit suicide but was murdered.

Spencer Kuvin, who accurately predicted that shamed financier would not last until his trial, told Sun Online he had been contacted by an anonymous prison worker who claimed it was "highly unlikely" the perv killed himself.

The former pal of Prince Andrew's was found unresponsive in his jail cell while awaiting trial on child sex charges on August 10 at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC).

The 66-year-old reportedly had a sheet tied around his neck when he was found and the medical examiner later announced he had died by suicide.

The prison source told Kuvin "every square inch" of the cells where Epstein was kept were covered by CCTV so there should have been a comprehensive video account of exactly what happened to Epstein.

Kuvin said: "I received a call from a supervisor at the MCC, which is the jail that Mr Epstein was held.

"The first words out of his mouth to be honest were, 'Don't believe what you are hearing' in regards to Epstein's death.

"I had a lengthy conversation with him about the issue of security within MCC and he gave me a fairly detailed description of the interior of the jail, which led me to believe that he was credible.

"He told me how the SHU (special housing unit) where Mr Epstein was kept was basically designed to be a jail within the jail.

Epstein was at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in New York when he diedCredit: AFP or licensors
'DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU'RE HEARING'

"And then there was a separate, even more secure unit, inside the SHU where the highest value targets were kept.

"He said every square inch of that place is covered by cameras. It was designed that way because of super high value targets that are kept there such as terrorists, drug dealers and other extremely high value targets or suspects like Mr Epstein.

"If reports that there is no CCTV are true - it would mean that they'd either shut the cameras off or they were not functioning in some way. He says there's no way that they would not have been able to see what was going on."

Kuvin said he also found it "highly suspicious" that Epstein's cell mate was taken from his cell on the Friday - just a few hours before Epstein's death in the early hours of Saturday.

Epstein had been on suicide watch after he was found unconscious with injuries to his neck following a previous incident on July 24 - but was removed from it a few days before his death.

"What my source found very suspicious was that his cell mate was pulled the day before," he said.

"The purpose of a cell mate for someone who either who was on suicide watch or is on suicide watch is to notify guards if something is happening. So the fact that they pulled the cell mate is not only one level above negligent, it also appears intentional.

"Really he should have been on suicide watch. Not only was he not on suicide watch, they pulled the one person that could have notified guards if something untoward was about to occur.

"It was almost as though they did it so that no one could see what was going to happen the following day."

Epstein, who was facing 45 years in prison, apparently killed himself by hanging himself with a bed sheet, the New York Post reported.

'HE DIDN'T SEEM CAPABLE OF SUICIDE'

But Kuvin, who has met Epstein three times, says he can't imagine him having the "resolve" or "bravery" to commit such an act.

"I met the man on three separate occasions and he never seemed to me to be a remorseful individual," he said.

"He always seemed highly intelligent, arrogant, self-assured, confident. Never thought he did anything wrong, even in light of all the evidence against him, he basically just blamed the victims and had an incredible ego about himself and someone with that type of ego just never struck me as someone that could possibly commit suicide.

"I didn't think he was that brave to be perfectly honest. He always hid behind lawyers upon lawyers upon lawyers in his civil and criminal cases. I mean you can't even count the number of people he hired to protect him from any allegations, both civil and criminal.

"This type of an act requires a certain amount of resolve. And he just never struck me as someone that could do that."

WAS SOMEONE PAID TO KILL EPSTEIN?

Kuvin who told Sun Online just days before his death he felt like the billionaire's life was in jeopardy because his powerful pals "didn't want their secrets out" believes the most likely scenario was that someone in the prison was paid to carry out a hit on Epstein.

"I think the most likely scenario if it's not as suicide, is that somebody on the inside of the prison was paid essentially to make it look like a suicide," he said.

"And the guards were paid to disappear and not be there. And his cell mate was taken away on Friday, so there'd be no witness.

"So someone went in there in the early morning hours, tied him around the neck with a bed sheet, tied the bed sheet to the bed and pushed him down effectively and held him down until he choked to death.

"For something like this, you would expect to see some type of bruising or whatever around his shoulders if he's being held down against his will.

Jeffrey Epstein's autopsy report reveals neck broken in 'several places' consistent with death by strangulation

Who was Jeffrey Epstein and what was he accused of?
Jeffrey Epstein was a US financier who was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution in 2008.He was arrested on July 6, 2019 for sex trafficking minors in Florida and New York.Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019 on sex trafficking charges.Court documents allege that at least 40 underage girls were brought to Epstein’s mansion for sexual encounters. He was arrested at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.FBI agents are also said to have broken down the door to his Manhattan townhouse. He pleaded not guilty to child sex trafficking charges in New York and could face 45 years in prison if found guilty. On July 18, a federal judge said that the disgraced financier presented a "danger to the community" and must stay in one of New York's toughest prisons while he awaits a trial over the sex trafficking accusations. The shamed financier was locked up amid fears he would flee the country.Epstein is understood to have killed himself last week just 12 days after being removed from suicide watch.

"So that would be the most likely scenario to make it appear as though he had done the act himself.

"With the fracture of the bone in his neck it suggests a high amount of force pushing down on him.

"I think the most likely scenario if it is not suicide - as I've said before - is that there were too many people that were afraid that he would talk about what he may have done with them and others.

"They just paid off someone to go into the jail and take care of him."

Kuvin, who represents three of Epstein's victims, says his victims now want to see a full investigation into what happened in the prison as well as to see some of his co-conspirators - many of whom have been named in various court documents - arrested.

And he said Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's one-time girlfriend who has been repeatedly accused in court papers of grooming young girls, should be very worried about the possibility of arrest.

Ghislaine Maxwell has always denied involvement with Epstein's crimesCredit: Getty - Contributor
"I think she should be highly concerned.

"So with the Attorney General saying that he's not closing the investigation and he's going to be pursuing all Mr Epstein's co-conspirators I can tell you that my clients are hopeful that Ms. Maxwell is one of the ones that's arrested following all of this.

"The victims are frustrated that he was allowed to do this or they allowed this to happen to him but at the same time they're satisfied that he's gone for good and not a threat to him or any other potential women that are out there.

"We want to see a full investigation and to hold all co-conspirators accountable for what happened."

Maxwell has always denied any wrongdoing.

A woman who accused Jeffrey Epstein of sex abuse and alleged she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew as a 17-year-old has urged him to "come clean".

Speaking after a hearing for alleged victims in the wake of Epstein's death, Virginia Giuffre told reporters the prince "knows what he's done".

The Duke of York has previously denied these claims.

A coroner ruled Epstein killed himself this month while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.

The 66-year-old tycoon - who once counted President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew as friends - was found unresponsive in his prison cell on 10 August.

About 15 plaintiffs spoke during the New York City court hearing as the case against Epstein looked set to be dismissed. The women spoke of their anger, saying Epstein had cheated justice by dying in prison.

Prosecutors said the investigation was ongoing and charges could still be brought against any co-conspirators.
What did Ms Giuffre say?

Ms Giuffre, 35, has alleged she was forced on three occasions to have sex with Prince Andrew, which he denies.

She has accused Epstein of keeping her as a "sex slave". In court on Tuesday, she said: "My hopes were quickly dashed and my dreams were stolen."

Ms Giuffre has said in a court deposition she was a 15-year-old working at Mr Trump's Mar-a-Lago golf resort in Florida when she was approached by British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell to give massages to Epstein.

When asked for a comment on Prince Andrew during a news conference after the hearing, Ms Giuffre said: "He knows what he's done and he can attest to that. He knows exactly what he's done and I hope he comes clean about it."

The prince has said it was "a mistake and an error" to see Epstein after his release from prison, and that he never saw or suspected criminal behaviour.
What did the other accusers say?

Courtney Wild, who has alleged Epstein sexually abused her when she was 14, told the court on Tuesday: "I feel very angry and sad. Justice has never been served in this case."

Ms Wild, who says she was recruited to be a masseuse for Epstein on his private plane dubbed "the Lolita Express", called him a "coward" who was able to "manipulate our justice system".

Courtney Wild was among those to take to the stand

Jennifer Araoz, who says Epstein raped her at his New York mansion when she was 15, told the court: "He robbed me of my dreams, of my chance to pursue a career I adored.

"The fact I will never have a chance to face my predator in court eats away at me. They let this man kill himself and kill the chance for justice for so many others."

Another woman, Chauntae Davies, told the court: "I will not let him win in death."

Ms Davies said she was raped by Epstein on his private island after being hired to give him massages.

Another woman, who chose to withhold her name, fought back tears as she told the court: "We do need to know how he died. It felt like a whole new trauma. It didn't feel good to wake up that morning and find that he allegedly committed suicide."

A number of accusers have filed lawsuits against Epstein's estate. Two days before his death, he signed a will funnelling his $577m (£475m) in assets to a trust fund.
What was said about Epstein's death?

Judge Richard Berman, who scheduled the hearing, began on Tuesday by observing that the case had taken "a rather stunning turn of events".

Reid Weingarten, an attorney for Epstein, asked the judge to look into the circumstances of his client's death.

The financier died of "suicide by hanging" in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, according to a New York medical examiner.

Mr Weingarten said the defence was "sceptical of the certitude of the medical examiner's conclusion that this was suicide", citing issues with video surveillance.

Brad Edwards, a lawyer representing Epstein's accusers, told the court that the financier's "untimely death" was "curious" and made it impossible for the alleged victims to find justice.

Authorities have told the Washington Post that one hallway camera near Epstein's prison cell has unusable footage, though clearer footage was captured in the vicinity.

It is unclear what was visible in this footage, or why the other video was not usable.

The FBI and Department of Justice are investigating the incident to determine if there was any foul play.
What was Epstein charged with?

Epstein was accused of paying girls under the age of 18 to perform sex acts at his Manhattan and Florida mansions between 2002-05.

He was also alleged to have paid large amounts of money to two potential witnesses ahead of his trial, which was scheduled for next year.

Epstein, who pleaded not guilty, was facing up to 45 years in prison if convicted.

He was arrested on 6 July after landing in New Jersey on his private jet.

Epstein avoided similar charges in a controversial secret plea deal in 2008, instead pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

Handling of that case - which deprived Epstein's accusers the chance to confront him in court - has been closely scrutinised in recent months.

In July US Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, a former Miami prosecutor, resigned over his role in the plea deal.

The Trouble with Andrew

In the royal-wedding afterglow, Buckingham Palace still has a major P.R. problem: how to handle Prince Andrew, Britain’s trade ambassador and fourth in line to the throne. The prince’s dissolute lifestyle, links to unsavory foreign potentates, and friendship with the American registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are undercutting the Queen’s efforts to rehabilitate the monarchy. And while many blame Andrew’s problems on his perennially broke ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, Edward Klein discovers some insiders pointing to another woman—his mother herself.

By Edward Klein

28th June, 2011

The Strange World of Jeffrey Epstein - Page 10 Image

On a snowy Friday afternoon last February, Ed Perkins received an urgent phone call in his ground-floor office at Buckingham Palace. Perkins has the thankless task of serving as press secretary to the Queen’s wayward second son, His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, Duke of York. The female voice on the other end of the phone line belonged to Sian James, an assistant editor at The Mail on Sunday, a tabloid that’s been unsparing in its coverage of Andrew’s dissolute private life and dodgy friends.

“We’re planning to publish a story about the Duke of York,” James told Perkins, “and we’d like a comment from the Palace.”

Perkins listened in stunned silence as James unfolded a shocking tale. Her newspaper had obtained an interview with a young woman named Virginia Roberts, who claimed that the billionaire American money manager Jeffrey Epstein had trained her as an under-age prostitute and flown her to London in 2001, when she was just 17 years old, for the express purpose of spending time with Prince Andrew. Virginia, now a mother of three living in Australia, had waited a decade to break her silence, but the newspaper had evidence to support her story—flight logs from Epstein’s Boeing 727 and Gulfstream jet, and a photo showing Prince Andrew with his arm around Virginia’s bare midriff. Standing off to one side in the photo was Ghislaine Maxwell, 49, the stylish and well-connected daughter of the late, disgraced British newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell.

According to Virginia, Ghislaine recruited her as Epstein’s “sex slave” when she was 15 years old and arranged for her to see Andrew three times, in London and New York and on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little Saint James. She said she’d been “sexually exploited by Epstein’s adult male peers, including royalty.” (Prince Andrew denied that he had had sexual contact with Roberts or any other of Epstein’s girls. Ghislaine Maxwell also denies the allegations and says that she plans to take legal action against a number of British newspapers.)

“Would you put all that in an e-mail, please?” said the unflappable Perkins. “It might take a few hours to get back to you.”

After he hung up the phone, Perkins assembled a crisis team consisting of senior Palace officials and lawyers. Many of these were old hands at dealing with Andrew’s indiscretions. Only the week before, another damaging photo had surfaced in a different British tabloid, the News of the World, showing the 51-year-old Duke of York, fourth in line of succession to the throne, strolling in New York’s Central Park with Epstein, 58, a registered sex offender.

The two photos capped months of negative press coverage of Andrew, which began when an undercover reporter, posing as a businessman, secretly videotaped an interview with Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, 51, who divorced the prince 15 years ago but still shares a home with him. The hapless Fergie was caught on tape demanding $821,000 in return for business access to her ex-husband, who is Britain’s special representative for international trade and investment. “If you want to meet him in your business, look after me, and he’ll look after you,” Fergie was heard saying on the video. “You’ll get it back tenfold That opens up everything you would ever wish for. And I can open any door you want. And I will for you.”

Under a torrent of criticism, Sarah Ferguson offered an abject public apology, returned the $40,000 down payment she had received, and offered to move out of Andrew’s home. However, her claim on the video that Andrew had advance knowledge of her attempted shakedown—an accusation categorically denied by Buckingham Palace—focused renewed attention on the long charge sheet against the prince.

Among other things, Andrew has been accused of hosting a lunch at Buckingham Palace for Mohamed Sakher El Materi, the billionaire son-in-law of the now deposed Tunisian strongman Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, and of accepting a gift of a $30,000 gold necklace for his daughter Beatrice from a convicted Libyan gun smuggler. (A spokesman for the Palace says it doesn’t comment on private gifts to members of the royal family.) Andrew earned the nickname “Air-Miles Andy” after he was criticized by the National Audit Office for taking a helicopter just 50 miles to a lunch with Arab dignitaries, at a cost of almost $5,000. Then there was the story of a secret trip Andrew had made in 2008 to Libya, where he met Muammar Qaddafi and reportedly discussed the release from a Scottish prison of Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al-Megrahi (who was, in fact, released the following year). In addition, it was reported that Andrew had flown to Sharm el Sheikh with David “Spotty” Rowland, a controversial British businessman who provided $66,000 to help pay Sarah Ferguson’s staggering debts.

While in Egypt, Andrew dined with Nursultan Nazarbayev, the corrupt president of Kazakhstan, whose son-in-law subsequently bought Andrew’s white-elephant mansion, Sunninghill Park, for $25 million, $4.9 million more than the asking price. (Buckingham Palace denied that there was any impropriety involved in the sale.)

Prince Andrew + Sarah Ferguson, a match made in heaven.

I don't know which is worse, she or he.

They're all at it - a Royal privilege.

That's not his hand! Prince Andrew's friends claim Duke's fingers are 'chubbier' than those in famous photo of him with 'sex slave' Virginia Roberts as he hits back at Epstein 'witchhunt'

  • Prince Andrew's lawyers have cast doubt on a photograph with Virginia Roberts

  • Sources say they are questioning veracity of image, and his fingers are 'not right'

[size=40]FBI studies two broken cameras outside cell where Epstein died: source

  • FILE PHOTO: U.S. financier Jeffrey Epstein appears in a photograph taken for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services' sex offender registry March 28, 2017 and obtained by Reuters July 10, 2019. New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services/Handout/File Photo via REUTERS

(Reuters) - Two cameras that malfunctioned outside the jail cell where financier Jeffrey Epstein died as he awaited trial on sex-trafficking charges have been sent to an FBI crime lab for examination, a law enforcement source told Reuters.
Epstein’s lawyers Reid Weingarten and Martin Weinberg told U.S. District Judge Richard Berman in Manhattan on Tuesday they had doubts about the New York City chief medical examiner’s conclusion that their client killed himself.
The two cameras were within view of the Manhattan jail cell where he was found dead on Aug. 10. A source earlier told Reuters two jail guards failed to follow a procedure overnight to make separate checks on all prisoners every 30 minutes.

He had been taken off suicide watch prior to his death.
The cameras were sent to Quantico, Virginia, site of a major FBI crime lab where agents and forensic scientists analyze evidence.
The Washington Post reported on Monday that at least one camera in the hallway outside Epstein’s cell had footage that was unusable. The newspaper said there was other usable footage captured in the area.

The U.S. Justice Department declined comment. The FBI and Federal Bureau of Prisons did not respond to requests for comment. All are investigating his death. Lawyers for Epstein also did not respond to requests for comment.
Epstein, a wealthy 66-year-old money manager who once counted U.S. President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton and Britain’s Prince Andrew as friends, was arrested on July 6 and pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking charges involving dozens of girls as young as 14.
At Tuesday’s court hearing, 16 women said Epstein had sexually abused them, with some lamenting that his death deprived them of the opportunity to obtain justice.

For Paulo Sargento, the thesis that Gonçalo Amaral revealed at first hand to "SP" that the blanket could have been used in a funeral ceremony at the Luz chapel "is very interesting".

And he adds: "In reality, when the McCanns went to Oprah's Show, the blanket was mentioned. At a given moment, when Oprah tells Kate that she heard her mention a blanket several times, Kate argued that a mother who misses a child always wants to know if she is comfortable, if she is warm, and added, referring to Maddie, that sometimes she asked herself if the person who had taken her would cover her up with her little blanket (but the blanket was on the bed after Maddie, supposedly, disappeared!!!).

Just seen this posted-up on CMOMM facebook..

Resurfaced video shows depraved decor inside Jeffrey Epstein's Palm Beach home when it was raided in 2005 - including dozens of photos of naked girls and a snap of him appearing to stand at the White House press podium

  • Footage shows police officers combing Epstein's now-infamous $16.4million mansion in Palm Beach in October 2005
  • The walls are covered with illicit images of scantily clad girls and women
  • There are also several photos of Epstein with friends and famous foreign figures including Fidel Castro and Pope John Paul II
  • A few of the photos feature Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's then-girlfriend and alleged madam, including one where she too is outstretched naked on a beach
  • The raid came as cops closed in on Epstein at the end of an 11-month undercover investigation into claims that he hired underage girls to massage him
  • WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT

The naked body, male and female (am I allowed to say male and female?) is considered to be an art form. Over the centuries very renowned artists have used the human form as centre-piece for their iconic paintings and sculptures.

Of course it could be argued that is just an excuse to hide behind think .

I'm aware that my comment may cause offence but seriously just looking at Prince Andrew makes me shudder. An overweight, over privileged oik with little grasp of life and his duties as a member of the Royal Family.

Then there is his elder brother who will become King, cosying up to Jimmy Savile.

Bothersome? You bet it is for the general public.

Here's what you get from the Royal Family for being a paedophile

Sir James Wilson Vincent Savile OBE KCSG was an English DJ, television and radio personality who hosted BBC shows including Top of the Pops and Jim'll Fix It. He raised an estimated £40 million for charities and, during his lifetime, was widely praised for his personal qualities and as a fund-raiser. Wikipedia

Here is what you get from the Royal Family....

You can write novels, be incarcerated for perverting the course of Justice and still keep the ermine and be called 'Lord', sit in the House of Lords and influence UK Law.
