In which direction was the Wind blowing that Night, and how hard?

Even if it was coming directly at the Window, there was a Multi Storey Building UPHILL opposite the OC, and back then there were large Trees in the Car Park.

And why were the Curtains tucked tightly back behind the Bed afterwards in the earlier Photos?

And that is one of the most telling 'give-aways' in her book.

She had NO INTENTION OF LOOKING at the children, and only when the door - ALLEGEDLY slammed on her hand as she was moving it

As a non parent, but a baby sitter/child minder for friends and family of many years, I always looked at the children in my care when they were in their cots, or beds. I have never met anybody who would just listen , outside the room.

As the children grew up to about three/four I would stand quietly at the foot of the stairs for sounds. The sounds I was listening for were giggles and I would shout '' if I have to come up there''. Worked a treat with our own children and then grandsons when they were staying. So I suppose I could give a bit on the actual going into the room as they weren't tiny babies.

If you are checking on sleeping children/babies that you have left alone in the apartment, you should do just that, check with your eyes and ears. Especially if you have drugged them.
Anything could be going on.

In my opinion you shouldn't leave any child whether a baby, toddler or older child alone in a holiday accommodation. You or a sitter should be there and yes at the slightest sound do a visual check to see all is well.
Drugged is a very emotive word isn't it? If you give your child a prescribed medication because of a condition they may have you are giving them drugs so yes you have drugged them.
I feel though any medication given to Madeleine and her siblings wasn't prescribed by their GP.

They hadn’t even tidy the likes of the hair dryer away, the passports in full view, perfect for a nearly 4 years old to doodle on, leaving two kids aged 2 in travel cots on a tiled floor, I’ve witnessed a travel cot being moved about by a year and half old toddler on a laminate floor when standing up in the cot, I’d imagine the same would apply for tiled flooring, there were to many things that do lead you down the route of sedation being used, and 100% children should not be left alone in any home never mind holiday apartment
