MISSING Madeleine McCann’s family are still the victims of vile online trolls and sick accusations 10 years to the day after she disappeared, their family spokesman said today.

Speaking on the tenth anniversary of her disappearance Clarence Mitchell also told ITV’s Lorraine show that private investigators believe there are “only two or three people on the planet” who know her fate.

Clarence, in a TV interview to mark the painful milestone, told how investigators previously hired by the couple felt “there were probably only two or three people on the planet who know what happened”.
But he felt that even after 10 years Maddie’s kidnapper can be found, saying: “Allegiances change, somebody may say something at some point.”
Parents Kate, 49, and Gerry, 48, as well as her twin siblings, are regularly abused on Twitter and Facebook, Sky News reports.
The family are still subjected to hurtful comments and conspiracy theories about the toddler’s disappearance.
Clarence described some of the online abuse “as disgusting and offensive as laughable and implausible”.
He told presenter Lorraine Kelly: “People feel they can be brave behind the keyboard without any sense of being held to account. They need to look to their own conscience to realise the pain they are causing with these casual, vile remarks based on nothing, based on assumption and prejudices.
“Kate and Gerry because of that don’t go on social media but we keep an eye on it so we know if there are any problems.”
The couple try and shield 12-year-old twins Sean and Amelie from the web haters, saying they try and be “very protective of them” but as they get older “they will form their own views.”

I once read in one newspaper report that "R" Mitch once fell asleep doing a tv news item - it could be infectious because if I don't get outa this thread I am going to fall asleep at my keyboard. shutup

'Madeleine's family are still the victims of online trolls' - they're also still failing to answer any questions about what they were doing on the night she went missing, and they're also still failing to co operate with the Portuguese police investigation.

Also, 'As the twins get older they will form their own views'.
They certainly will.

Oh yes Clarrie , the vast majority of good people who donated to the Fund to search for Madeleine now want to know what their money was spent on as it certainly wasn't to search .

Paying the mortgage , paying fraudulent investigators and suing anyone who disagrees through highly paid lawyers was not what they believed their hard earned money was for.

Is it any wonder that Amaral gained so much support ?
