There is no way I'll be working until 68.

No way.

I've been in work continuously since 1977, paid all my National Insurance for 40 years... I didn't pay it to get stitched up at the end of it.

For most of that 40 years the deal was retire at 65.

I expect they will move the goalposts once more before I'm allowed to retire.

Meanwhile I know a lot of people who hardly worked a stroke and get everything, they've never had anything to retire from - 65/68 means nothing to them.

I've no idea who to vote for. The only choices I've got in my area  are Conservative, Labour, Green Party, Lib Dems.

I was going to vote Conservative but might now vote UKIP.

If you want Jeremy Corbyn as your next Prime Minister, the Communist and fellow IRA-supporter John McDonnell as your next Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Diane Abbott as your next Home Secretary, then vote Labour. Oh, and you will get Tom Watson as your Deputy Prime Minister.

If you want to reverse the democratic decision of the people on 23 June last year to leave the E.U., vote Liberal "Democrat".

I wish UKIP were standing in my area, but they are not.

It's a Labour stronghold and my vote will be pointless. I can't vote Labour whilst the likes of Diane Abbot are there near the top.

I think I am going to spoil my ballot paper as I can't in all conscience vote for any of them.

I might write something very rude across the whole thing beginning with W.

LATEST OPINION POLLS - 18 APRIL

Taking an average of the last 5 national opinion polls for Great Britain (i.e. excluding N. Ireland), current voting intention is:

44 CON
26 LAB
(11 UKIP
(11 LibDem
4 GREEN
Again, taking the average of the last five national opinion polls, current voting intention, compared with 18 April (5 weeks ago) is:

46 CON (was 44 - UP 2)
34 LAB (was 26 - UP 8)
4 UKIP (was 11 - DOWN 7)
9 LibDem (was 11 - DOWN 2)
3 GREEN (was 4 - DOWN 1).

At a guess, Corbyn has energised core Labour voters with a manifesto that is clearly Socialist in tone and programme. It is beginning to look like he will get a better percentage vote than Ed Miliband did (i.e. 31%).

Well, four more polls have been published this weekend and, compared with the position five days ago, and (taking an average of the four polls), this is what has happened:

Conservatives - DOWN 2%, now at 44%

Labour - UP 2%, now at 36%

UKIP - same, 4%

LibDem - DOWN 1%, now at 8%

Green - DOWN 1%, now at 2%.

So the Conseravtive lead over Labour is now down to just 8%, about the same as in the General Election of 2015.

SINCE I PUBLISHED THE POLLS BACK ON 18 APRIL, when the campaign started, this is what has happened

CONSERVATIVE started at 44, now still on 44, NO CHANGE

LABOUR started at 26, now 36, A GAIN OF 10%

UKIP started at 11, now just 4, DOWN 7%

LIB DEMS started at 11, now 8, DOWN 3%

GREEN started at 4, now 2, DOWN 2%.

I noticed that a huge number of young people have registered to vote in the past 6 weeks and look very likely to vote. And many of them will undoubtedly back Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party.

And it is looking very much like a 2-horse race in most places.

I can't think of a single thing that Corbyn could ever offer this country.

I'd really like to vote Labour (and this would break every vote I've ever made).

The Labour Party needs to rid itself of Corbyn and that loathsome witch Diane Abbot to have any chance of credibility.

Hi aquila,I fear that much like when Labour lost in 2010(Gordon Brown, bottled it?)that Theresa May has either come to the same conclusion and called for an election, for justification of how her future Government will Govern the UK?
Labour left a Note to the Conservative/Liberal coalition, the"Coffers" are empty!!
2015 David Cameron elected as the conservative Government, after shafting the liberals for five Years?
Dodgy Dave,Gideon then realised the Economic situation was dire and"frankly"did not expect to form the next Conservative Government!
The UK/Scotland in out referendum fiasco, where all the "Establishment figures"convened to ambush the SNP?
Then on 23 June 2016,Brexit happened and dodgy Dave's pants were filled, but it wasn't with excitement or exhilaration and Promptly Resigned as Prime Minister.
The New UK Government is about to face the same reality check(Coffers are empty),Theresa knows this already or realises the"Games Up" on Government Cover Ups?
now back to the present,Corbyn & Abbot, maybe joined at the hip so to speak, but would you have voted for Tony Blair and his Cronies(Gordon Brown) now, knowing the collusion and dodgy inquiries his Government had to administer to stay in Government,Hindju Brothers,Chilcot, mysterious deaths of Dr David Kelly,Robin Cook?
It won't matter who leads the Labour Party if elected to Government, they will have to deal with any crisis left by the predecessor,First and Foremost before implementing their own agenda?

Does Corbyn want to stop mass immigration?

I don't think so.

He also said in his speech after the Manchester Arena bombing:

"Over the past fifteen years or so, a sub-culture of often suicidal violence has developed amongst a tiny minority of, mainly young, men, falsely drawing authority from Islamic beliefs and often nurtured in a prison system in urgent need of resources and reform."

Quite frankly he is another Muslim apologists unwilling to tackle the real issue.

I expect him to have claimed "Islam is a religion of peace" somewhere along the line.

Islam has never, ever, been a religion of peace.

My hope is that more and more people find out exactly what Muhammad got up to.

Jesus/Buddha he wasn't.

I've spent much of today watching Douglas Murray on Youtube due to a link posted over the road (I'm not a member but I read what's on the portal).

I've never been politically active, I've never rallied, I've never upset the government in any way and yet I feel for some weird reason afraid to watch anything that questions Islam which could make me termed a 'dissident'.

I'm not sure who Douglas Murray really is but I've tried to educate myself by debate from both sides.  I'm not fond of intellectual windbags but this man makes sense whilst not really doing anything. I can honestly thank him for sticking his neck out and challenging Islam. Many of his views are bang on the nail.

Douglas Murray has been invited onto the Andrew Neill show in the aftermath of the Manchester bombing alongside Hazel Blears who speaks like Mary Poppins and wants to educate muslims about extremism (seriously, you can't make up this nonsense) whilst reassuring us that she is a practical person.

Thanks to the poster over the road who highlighted to me, an ordinary person, that I'm not Islamaphobic, racist, xenophobic.

Here's the link to the Andrew Neill show.

Hi Bluebag,i do not doubt your feelings in regard to the present climate over the Manchester bombing and terrorist atrocities throughout the World, but it is not down to just one race of people?
I do not think it can help to try to resolve today's"Conflict situations"by using what the American,United states of America contemplated on the people of Japan,as this would eventually lead to a Nuclear War using that scenario of "I've got a Bigger stick,Gun,Bomb"?
I think we are back to a" Ronald Reagen"type situation of the 1990's,where people need to re-think what is happening in the "World Today"?,
Is it soley down to a"New World Order"Globalisation of the masses to control Economic activities throughout the World, where different Counties are growing at different rates,World Stock Markets,Profit and loss at Human's expense, with little humanity shown, your just a comodity?

Islam in't a race.

It's a belief system.

A cult - an evil one.

Anyone who thinks that a cult that prescribes death for anyone leaving it isn't evil needs to have a word with themselves.

And no it isn't the only problem in the world - bankers, globalists, zionists, corporations and other entities sitting above the democratic process are a big problem as well. They find Islam a useful tool. Who benefits from the bombings... well... Israel obviously. Who is encouraging and funding the Islamic terrorists... well that's a good question.

That doesn't give Islam a free pass.

Islam is one that I actually fear being killed by as it seems incredibly close to home. This is real.

Even if Islam was not involved in terrorism I would be  strongly opposed to it because of it's laws about apostasy, freedom of speech, adultery, homosexuality, women's rights.

It's founder was a warmongering madman.

Hi bluebag,I mentioned"Race"as forgive me if I am wrong, Middle East Region, Ottoman Empire that it must be the beliefs of people from these regions?
It is stated that the person's released from a certain "Arab Nation" have practices associated to the type of intolerance you have quoted?
The Syrian conflict 2017 dates back to at least 1948 and the six day War,where a certain Country took over the Golan Heights and has held that land since then, having access to the oil and Gas reserves of what used to be Syrian?
They have recently discovered massive Oil,Gas reserves where, you guessed right Syria, now why is the reason Assad and his family must be deposed!!?

Again... Islam is not a race.

It's a cult that people are not free to walk away from without serious/fatal consequences.

You can be a "secular Muslim"... that's the best you can do if you want to keep your head down.

Anything else you are a target.

We need honest open mainstream debate about what Islam is.

Get Richard Dawkins in (probably not up to it these days)... Peter Hitchens... Sam Harris, Jay Smith, Tom holland... people who know their stuff.

We live next door to a Muslim family. When we moved into the area they were the first to welcome us and offer any help we might need. The second people to offer help were a Muslim family from over the road.
The next door neighbours have 4 sons, the baby born in January. The other 3 are delightful, well mannered and very lively.
When we first moved here we didn't know we were moving next door to Muslims, though there are many here in Sheffield.
We hear an adult male, speaking broad Yorkshire, turned out to be the dad. Born here, drinks and smokes and never visits the mosque.
His 2 eldest boys do though for instruction. Adam, the next to youngest and aged 2 1/2 is a sweet little boy and plays peekaboo through a gap in the fence. The baby, I just love to cuddle.
We have had non Muslim neighbours who were hell on earth.

Nina - you are a voice of wisdom in the wilderness of despair.  I echo your sentiments 100%, it fills me with pain to hear such venomous attacks against innocent people.  Why should they be penalized through the actions of a terrorist movement who aren't even killing in the name of god.  They are extremist murderers with no faith in any religion but power.

I blame the UK media, they incite hatred by daily reporting false stories about Muslim atrocities and the teachings of Islam .  I avoid the subject because I plainly see the injustice but I had to acknowledge your observations.

Do people hate the Germans because of Hitlers tyrannical reign?

You're not innocent if you willingly belong to a cult that advocates death for leaving it (amongst many other terrible things like "insulting the Prophet").

Do people hate the Germans because of Hitlers tyrannical reign?

It's not about race.

Did people hate the National Socialists and want something done about them - you bet. Did people hate the National Front and want something done about them - you bet.

Come on Verdi, you know this is about a poisonous evil ideology not race.

I want Muslims to be educated and helped and encouraged to abandon Islam.

You of all people cannot possibly support an ideology that advocates all those terrible things.

Islam has to be fought, it is an ideology that has to be defeated with truth.

People like Corbyn are currently LYING about Islam and that doesn't help anything.

Verdi and Nina - I agree with you ISIS are a political organisation using religion as a calling card. Because they don't give a stuff about who gets persecuted or killed - they just want to achieve their aims which are political. If regular Muslims Christians and Jews adhered to everything in their respective holy books it would be all out warfare as soon as you stepped out of your house - a kitchen knife would do. The reason this is not the case is that the vast majority of human beings Muslim Jewish Christian Hindi Atheist Agnostic don't want violence or war regardless of what their holy books say. Thank you Nina and Verdi for speaking up and I add my voice to yours.

REPLY:  Well, leaving aside for a moment the ‘holy book’ of Islam, the Koran, and the teachings of those Jews who do not recognise Christ as their promised Messiah and Saviour, let’s see from the following 10 passages in the Bible how far removed the true Christian mind is from any though of ‘kitchen knives’. First of all, nine sayings of Jesus Christ, which clearly teach the requirements of a Christian character – these are instructions to the Christian:

Matthew 6 vv 40-42

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Matthew 5 v 44

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5 v 39

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Luke 6 v 30

Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Luke 14 v 13

But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

Matthew 6 v 12

And forgive us our trespasses debts, as we forgive those who trespass against us debtors.

Luke 6 v 30

Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Luke 6 v 36

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Matthew 18 vv 21-22

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

And one of many verses from the Old Testament

 Psalm 41 v 1

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

REPLY: I am unable to see false stories of Muslim atrocities; on the contrary, if anything they are under-reported. Verses such as “Slay the infidel wherever he may be found” abound in the Koran. It simply cannot be denied that these and other like verses have directly inspired many terrible atrocities, workdwide, by followers of Mohammed.

Turning to your point about Germans, let it be remembered what a vast number of Germans in the 1930s and 1940s embraced and actively supported Nazism. Of course, things are different today. We might also cite the example of British relations with Irish people during the Northern Ireland troubles, when the IRA (supported by Jeremy Corbyn incidentally) took many innocent British lives in Britain.

We have a different problem with Islam. Every single study of Muslim opinion in this country reveals a disturbingly high level of support in the wider Muslim community for jihadist, militant interpretations of the Koran. That cannot be denied.

Nor can it be denied that it is the explicit aim of Islam to conquer the entire world for Islam, by whatever means. And, yes, BlueBag is right, the Koran explicitly authorises the practice of ‘taqiyya’ – Muslims lying to non-Muslims - to achieve their ends. By 100% contrast, one of God’s Ten Commandments is “Thou shalt not bear false witness”.

REPLY: The father doesn’t sound like a Muslim at all. The problem may come down the line much later, as his boys start to learn by rote Koranic verses, many of which preach hate towards Christians, Jews and ‘infidels’. Examine the background of so many of those British Muslims who have taken to jihadism and terrorism, and you will find teenage young men from ‘good’ Muslim families who have been taught to hate the West and Western values, in Muslim schools and madrassas, and emerge ready to join murderous Islamist groups.

Is not the Manchester bomber a classic example of this? And those 4 men who killed 52 people on 7/7/2005?

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
