Leicester missing people: Can you help find those who have disappeared in the county?
These are the nine missing people who a charity and police are trying to track down after they disappeared.
Leics Police video here: http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/leicester-missing-people-can-you-help-find-those-who-have-disappeared-in-the-county/story-30428639-detail/story.html#BLkDz3l0IzWaoBTM.99
Almost all of them are listed on Missing People's website with many having been missing for years.
Some have been subject to intense investigation with police suspecting foul play while others may have simply moved away without telling anyone.
It isn't a crime to go missing but many will have left concerned relatives behind - and the authorities are keen to speak to anyone with information.

Grzegorz Witkowski
Mr Witowski was last seen leaving a party in Highfields in 2009.
In 2012 following a police review the Leicestershire force announced his death was being treated as a 'no body murder' investigation.
In 2013 Det Supt Neil Castle said: "We believe the answer to what happened lies in the Polish community.
"We are appealing now to anyone who has heard about what has happened to Grzegorz or believes they could have a small piece of information which could help."

Jane Linzey
Mrs Linzey, from Walcote, was last seen in July 2012 when she was dropped off by a taxi at the recycling area at Morrisons, Lutterworth.
Police said she is also known to use the forenames Paulette and Elizabeth and the surnames Whatley and Jeppe.
She was reported missing by her carer on Tuesday, September 18.
In November 2013 Sergeant Gavin Drummond said: "We know that Mrs Linzey's bank accounts have not been accessed since July and she has not collected her medication from her doctor which has obviously worried us."

David Aitken, who went missing in 2001
Loughborough University student David Aitken was reported missing in October 2001.
In 2007 a website dedicated to finding missing people said that the last known contact anyone had with David was a postcard with an Inverness postmark that was sent from Scotland.
He was 20 years old when he was last seen.

Malgorzata Wnuczek
One of the most high-profile missing people, Malgorzata Wnuczek was reported missing in May 2006.
Police believe the answer to the mystery of her disappearance could still be found in Leicester, chiefly within its Polish community.
Malgorzata, known affectionately as Gosia by her family, had been in regular contact with her parents in the weeks before she went missing.
Her last contact with them was a text message which she sent to them two days before the last sighting of her.
Last year police appealed for help tracking down a man who dialled 999 to say he had information about her disappearance.

Che Cooper
The most recent case is that of Che Cooper, aged 15, who was last seen on June 15.
A spokesman for the Leicestershire force said: "A number of enquiries have been ongoing to locate him and we are now asking for public help for any recent sightings of him.
"We are concerned for his welfare and would ask anyone who thinks they know where Che is or have seen him to get in touch."
He is described as black, around 5ft 7in tall and of a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit, blue coat and carrying a blue bag.
Officers said Che is known to have links to the Essex and Kent areas.

Child Rescue Alert is the potentially life-saving system that alerts people to high risk child disappearances.
The initial hours after a child goes missing are crucial. A sighting by a member of the public can lead to the safe recovery of the missing child.
When a Child Rescue Alert is issued, it is sent directly to thousands of people though text, email, app notifications, social media, digital billboards and national media. This means that many more eyes and ears are on the ground, on the lookout for the missing child.

I haven't seen any digital billboard alerts and I still haven't seen anything from the posties which was announced a few years back.

I did see a 'missing' billboard advert for somebody a couple of years back along the Mile End Road, near Liverpool Street station, in London.
I did post about it at the time but can't find it now.

@Plebgate.
I have a new postman. I must ask him if he's all trained and ready to go with the alerts. My last postman didn't have a clue about it.
@ Doug D
Thanks. I remember you posting that too. How many digital media billboard alerts have been made in the provinces I wonder. They must be incredibly effective, on the very day Kate McCann launched the system a child in Birmingham was found!
