'His new novel or first contentious one in the Uk "

What strange wording.

How can they sue for defamation if the original libel action was based on 'distress' and even that couldn't be enforced?

This reminds me of the McAlpine case where he said he would sue people....but didn't actually. They are banking on threats being enough.

So nothing to do with the search for Madeleine then?

Our lawyers are watching... Oh dear is that a threat?

Ridiculous, so they have money to cover lawyers and apparently CM, really!

Usual load of bollocks from Tracey, Clarence & TM, unless of course GA has sent them a draft outline of the book, which of course he hasn’t.

To paraphrase  seems to be: ‘We don’t know what you’ve said, but we’re going to sue you anyway if you dare to publish anything in the UK’.

TM need to be careful what they wish for, but they are now very much stuck somewhere between a rock and a hard place.

As Verdi (I think it was) suggested the other day, actually getting the Mc’s into a UK Court to testify and be cross-examined on their numerous statements by a decent barrister, under oath, could prove rather enlightening.

Taking it to Court would make it a guaranteed best seller though, bit like the old days with the BBC banning records – guaranteed to get to No. 1 in the charts the following week.

Well said. Amaral needs to make his book list all the facts in such a way that the only possible conclusion can be drawn but stop short of voicing his personal theory.
Anyway, what part of worldwide in www don't the TM clowns understand.

They just never, ever learn do they?

Now they're drawing even more attention to themselves and Amaral's books.

This is guaranteed to make people think 'what is it they want to cover up?' IMO

Every time an article appears in the newspaper it's another opportunity for someone to comment that the translated book is already available online.

And to top it all, the Mail has actually printed that they have hired top lawyers and are paying for them out of the money people have donated to find Madeleine.

The McCanns should write another book of their own, suggested title, From Bad To Worse.

They think they have "people" behind them, they are also being directed, maybe they are pawns in a game ?
IMO

Libel trial Day 01 Witness 02 Emma Loach text from PDF 12-09-2013

ID – In which documentaries did you participate?
EL corrects that she is actually the documentary maker. One was broadcast in May 2008, Madeleine McCann, one year on (ITV) and the other in May 2009, Madeleine was here (Ch4). In the first one she didn't use the word "abduction" and the McCanns, as arguidos, couldn't speak. The documentary is about the McCann European campaign.
ID – They were broadcast in how many countries in the EU?
EL doesn't know.
ID – Are they based on the McCann couple's thesis (the abduction)?
EL answers that in the second documentary an investigator (David Edgar, witness 3) says there are many theories but they investigate it on the basis that it was an abduction.

c) Guerra & Paz's lawyer's questions

GP – I understand that, from 2010, you and the McCanns met once every three months. Do you know when the book was published? Do you know how the McCanns had access to the book? Did they speak about it in general?
EL says they spoke of the conclusion in particular.
GP – Do you know if the book was published in the UK?
EL says she saw it in bookshops.

SO, does anyone 'know' if the McCan't 'lawyers', in 2013, under McCan'ts 'instruction', issue a summons, to SUE these 'bookshops', in the UK, Emma L 'saw GA's book in'

Not a 'single' bookshop, apparently, but bookshopS, in the UK, according to EL.

@jeanmonroe. The Emma Loach nonsense is very reminiscent of Kate McCann spinning the yarn about Sean hearing Goncalo Amaral's thesis on the school bus radio.

Its a shame Judge Judy wasn't sitting instead of Judge Jurisprudence. We could have done with her yelling: "You're making it up as you go along!"

So when they bought it from the "bookshops " did they pay the same translators ?

The ones they paid £100,00 to for translating the PJ files ?

The translation they kept to themselves   spin

The Wings song I remember being banned was Give Ireland Back to the Irish.

The guy who was banned most often though, was Judge Dread.

How will they pay to sue a second time and why would they do that as I would have thought the last ruling at the Supreme Court would set a precedent, surely? I can't imagine why they would be advised to do it all again - am I missing something apart from the vitriol?
