Madeleine McCann's parents set to appeal libel case that could 'leave them penniless'
Kate and Gerry McCann will launch an appeal after losing a libel court case appeal against the cop who led the bungled hunt for their daughter.
Ex-police chief Goncalo Amaral is set to sue the couple for hundreds of thousands of pounds after winning the long-running legal battle.
The McCanns originally sued him after he penned a book claiming they were responsible for Madeleine’s “death”.
Amaral, 57, was ordered to pay them £360,000 in damages in 2015 for the shocking claims he made in ‘The Truth of the Lie’.

How does the 'Mirror' KNOW GA's 'claims' are 'shocking'?
Have they done a thorough 'investigation' of his 'shocking claims'?
Have they ASKED him?
There's a world 'exclusive' right there, for the Mirror!
The McCan'ts, and family and friends, LIED about the 'shutter' of their apartment, G5A, being 'jammied, broken into, forced, SMASHED' but upon 'inspection', by the PJ and the Ocean Club's OWN manager, within an hour, the 'shutter' was found to be perfectly 'intact, in full working order, and had NOT been 'tampered' with, in ANY way at all'
Did the 'Mirror' find it a 'shocking claim' that the Mc's and family and friends HAD, in fact, 'LIED' about the 'shutter'?
Not 'then' and not 'now'!
Hypocrites, of the top order!
