John McCann 9th May 2007

TruthForMadeleine

02:10 minutes

Six days after Madeleine's alleged disappearance, a very jolly John McCann talks of the McCanns devastation for the first couple of days and how they rallied to take control of the situation they found themselves in, being of a proactive disposition - ha bloody ha!

"if the police can work with us that's fantastic but we have an initiative - if it's useful you know [grins and shrugs shoulders] - it doesn't really matter where it emanates from as long as it's erm as long as it's productive and hopefully successful".

This is the family man John McCann who swiftly gave up his job to work full-time as a campaigner for the wider agenda.

Gerry McCann admires his 'Summative Overview'

Investigation - key drivers + Fund Campaign - key objectives = The Wider Agenda.

That's what grabed me - the bare faced audacity!  If that's not an admission of their game plan I don't know what is.

This group of miscreants have made so many crass 'foot in mouth' statements, it's a wonder they are not all..

CNN McCann on the moment Madeleine disappeared

Kate McCann again rehearses re-lives the moment she discovered Madeleine had been abducted.  Flying in the face of all the evidence, or in this instance  lack of evidence, to substantiate her claim.

I just don't get it.  Over and over again it's been said that the PJ found no evidence of a break-in, the only finger prints on the window/shutter being that of Kate McCann and a GNR officer.

Yet still Kate McCann repeats the story of the open door;  the open shutter;  the open window and the swooshing curtain whilst her husband sits beside her perfecting his supercilious smirk.  Is it deliberate - is she to be the sacrificial lamb if ever the case reaches a criminal court?  Or will they move towards a plea of diminished responsibility?

Of all the oddities that surround this case, the continued claim about the windows/shutters/doors is the most perplexing.

McCanns' interview with Expresso, the first interview after their arguido  status was lifted...

Whenever I watch this I am filled with disbelief at Kate's demeanour. And why oh why can neither of these parents articulate 'the day, the day after, '.

And Gerry's statement is interesting to those au fait with the telephone records

The whole case is riddled with anomalies. For instance several psychologists agree that it's not normal to say "they've taken her" as a first comment. A normal person would say "where's Madeleine", or "has anyone seen Madeleine".
The shutters were mechanically operated & could not be opened from the outside without destroying them & they were not damaged in any way at all. My conclusion is that the shutter evidence has not been pursued because it's been decided not to pursue it & which is why Piers Morgan didn't pursue it. If you look at all their media interviews, not once is their version of events challenged.

Some family members told the TV and press that the shutters and windows had been forced or "jemmied" open. The news reached them by a telephone call from Gerry if I remember correctly.
Was the  whooshing curtains story concocted to back this story up?
Could this jemmied window story have been worked out earlier than Thursday evening? Was somebody meant to jemmie the windows on Thursday evening while doing one of these so called checks, but something went wrong? Was it too late to tell the family back home, before the press turned up?

I really can't say.  I know most, if not all, the family and friends back in the UK that were contacted on the night of 3rd/4th May made reference to the forced entry scenario but I can't see any possible reason why the McCanns made that claim, other than perhaps an arrogant assumption that the sardine munching local cops wouldn't question their story and a desire to influence UK public opinion from the outset via the media.

They cleaned up the crime scene and allowed scores of people to trample around before alerting the police so I venture to suggest they had ample time to tamper with the window and shutter and do a bit of swooshing.

The photographs taken by the PJ - why wasn't there any evidence of the presence of children?  Young children make mess, they leave their mark everywhere, their clothes, their toys, their scribbling books, their left over food, their presence - sorry I digress.

My main point is why Kate McCann continues, year in year out, to repeat the window/shutter and swooshing curtain story when the PJ investigation found no evidence to substantiate the claim.  The conclusion of the investigation no evidence of forced entry, only the fingerprints of Kate McCann and a GNR officer.

@Philip Anders

"It was a woman called Jill Renwick who was interviewed on GMTV news who mentioned the shutters."
----------------------------------------------------
AND

Trisha Cameron, GM's sister. (4th May 2007)

"They last checked at half past nine; they were all sound asleep, sleeping; windows shut; shutters shut. Kate went back at ten o'clock to check; the front door was lying open; the window had been tampered with; the shutters had been jammied open... or whatever you call it, and Madeleine was missing."

(which is 'odd' because the McCan'ts 'friend', JT, 'saw' Madeleine 'being carried off at 9:20pm' at the 'exact' time, GM/JW were 'chatting' outside of the 'gate way' leading to Mc's apartment, G5A.)

(although GM and KM 'insist' that Ge££y 'was chatting' to JW on the opposite side of the street 'away' from the 'gate way'!)

('Where' exactly JW/GM were 'chatting' is another 'story' entirely! but JW provides a 'documented/evidential' diagram, in his 'sworn' police statement as to 'exactly' where he and GM 'were' when the 'chat' took place!)

AND

Jon Corner, the McCan'ts twins 'godparent'

Kate rings another close friend, Jon Corner, at 03:00am (4th May 2007)

Jon Corner, a close friend of Mrs McCann and godparent of the twins, said Kate telephoned him in the middle of the night distraught.
He said: "She just blurted out that Madeleine had been abducted. She told me, 'They have broken the shutter on the window and taken my little girl.'

"They had left the apartment locked while they were having their meal, but when they went back the last time they saw the damage."

After speaking to her a second time, he repeated his earlier account, but this time in stronger language

"Kate said the shutters of the room were smashed....."

AND

Ge££y McCann (05 May 2007)

Gerry tells Brian Healy (Madeleine's grandfather) the shutters were broken and the door was open,

"Gerry told me when they went back the shutters to the room were broken, they were jemmied up and she was gone," said Mr Healy. "She'd been taken from the chalet. The door was open."

In the second interview she has closed it to where she wants it (she demonstrates) "to here" and then she says the wind caught it.

I have always been of the opinion that Gerry “bumping into” Jeremy Wilkins threw a spanner in the works. Hence the hurried timelines on the cover of a sticker book, the “jemmied windows” that were part of the original plan, all went out of the window (pardon the pun). Wasn’t it said that someone saw Gerry McCann fiddling with the shutters BEFORE Madeleine went missing?  Was this why he told many members of his family that the window had been “jemmied”, ecause it become extremely difficult to change the plan?
