Kate and Gerry McCann attend carol service for family of missing persons on 10th Christmas since Madeleine disappeared

Kate and Gerry McCann will remember daughter Madeleine at a carol service tomorrow as they join other families facing Christmas without their loved ones. This season will mark 10 Christmases since Maddie went missing in Praia de Luz, Portugal, on a family holiday. The parents will attend the service for family of missing people at Saint Martins-in-the-Fields in London’s Trafalgar Square where another father whose 14-year-old son is missing will give a speech. Kevin Gosden, whose son Andrew vanished after playing truant from school, described “the very emotional service” as “one of few opportunities to meet and share memories of our missing loved ones and to pray again for them and for our families.” Former GP Kate and heart doctor husband Gerry told in a rare public message last year how they bitterly miss sharing their daughter’s excitement in the run up to Christmas. A close pal of the couple, both 48, from Rothley, Leics, said: “This year is particularly tough because Madeleine would now be a teenager and it is the family’s tenth festive season without her.” Scotland Yard are chasing up a final “last throw of the dice” lead that three-year-old Maddie was snatched by child traffickers during a bungled burglary at a holiday apartment in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007. Her parents, who have 11-year-old twins Sean and Amelie, have never given up hope that she could still be alive. She would now be aged 13.

Not being pedantic but it really is the tenth Christmas she has been missing. Probably the only truth in this whole sorry tale.

How can it be when she went missing in 2007?

Even Clarrie has only just started taking bids for her 10th anniversary next May.

You have to count from 2007 to 2016 - that is 10 Christmases.

MADDIE CHRISTMAS HEARTBREAK

Kate and Gerry McCann prepare for 10th Christmas without Maddie as they attend missing persons’ carol service

Madeleine's parents have never given up hope of finding the youngster, who vanished in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007

BY TRACEY KANDOHLA 11th December 2016, 11:45 am

KATE McCann will remember daughter Madeleine at a poignant carol service as she joins other families facing a bleak Christmas after the disappearance of a loved one.

As Kate prepares for her milestone 10th Christmas without Maddie a dad whose son has also been missing for nearly a decade will address the crowd.

Kate and Gerry McCann are preparing for a 10th Christmas without their daughter Madeleine

Kevin Gosden, whose 14-year-old son Andrew vanished after playing truant from school, will describe "the very emotional service" as "one of few opportunities to meet and share memories of our missing loved ones and to pray again for them and for our families."

Former GP Kate and heart doctor husband Gerry told in a heart rending rare public message last year how they bitterly miss sharing their daughter’s excitement in the run up to Christmas.

Madeleine vanished in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007 when she was aged three

A close pal of the couple, both 48, from Rothley, Leics, said: "This year is particularly tough because Madeleine would now be a teenager and it is the family’s tenth festive season without her."

The Sun on Sunday told last week how Scotland Yard are chasing up a final "last throw of the dice" lead that three-year-old Maddie was snatched by child traffickers during a bungled burglary at a holiday apartment in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007.

SO WHO IS SHE? English-speaking homeless woman at centre of Rome 'Maddie mystery' claims she is a 20-year-old Brit – as cops say she is NOT Madeleine McCann

Her parents, who have 11-year-old twins Sean and Amelie, have never given up hope that she could still be alive. She would now be aged 13.

Teen Andrew disappeared from Doncaster, South Yorks, just four months after Maddie in September 2007. Like the McCanns and hundreds of other families, his dad, mum Glenys and sister Charlotte pray they will one day be reunited with him.

Kevin, 51, will tell gatherers at the special Missing People service at Saint Martins-in-the-Fields in London’s Trafalgar Square: "The music is both moving and inspiring which we always find uplifting. It is something which stays with us too."

They will remember their daughter at a missing persons’ carol service tomorrow

The flagship event will be hosted by the charity’s patron Sir Trevor McDonald and feature their own choir performing "I Hope."

Maddie’s mum, an ambassador for Missing People, is not due to speak.

But she will listen, ever hopeful, as Pauline Green tells how she was reunited with her son Matthew, 32, in May after he went missing in Spain for six years.

The thrilled mum, 63, and husband Jim from Sittingbourne, Kent, will tell how her lost son’s return is like "all of our Christmases come at once". She will tell the packed congregation: "I am hoping we can be seen as some form of inspiration and comfort during such unimaginable circumstances.

Madeleine disappeared from her bed in a holiday apartment in 2007

"I am one of the lucky ones. I’d like to encourage you to stay positive, strong and united in your journey to find your loved one, and never ever give up. It will come right in the end."

The charity’s Chief executive Jo Youle said: "Across the UK, someone goes missing every two minutes. For their families, the thought of an empty chair at the Christmas dinner table is truly heart-breaking."

Tickets for the service, which will include readings by TV’s New Tricks star Amanda Redman, Being Human actor Jason Watkins and comic actress Rebecca Front, are still available and can be found here.

Hmmmm

So 'deffo', the McCan'ts, NOT 'expecting' Madeleine to 'be found/home' by 25th December 2016.

Now, HOW would 'they' KNOW 'that'?

Lots and lots of 'preparing' for a 'Christmas' without Madeleine, but, not 'lots and lots' of actual 'searching' for Madeleine.
--------------------------------------------------------

"Madeleine's parents have never given up hope of finding the youngster,..."

Hmmmmm

Perhaps they'll 'tell' the other 'carol singers' exactly what THEY, the McCan'ts, 'did', what their 'families and friends' did, yesterday/today, the last 9 years, to ACTUALLY, personally, 'find' their 'missing' daughter/family 'member'.

'attending' lots of posh hotel 'do's'/photo 'shoots' for KM and carol 'singing' does NOT 'qualify' as 'desperately searching' for their 'missing' child!

Only one comment but an interesting one at that!!

In this case, if we could abstract ourselves of the name of the child that disappeared, of the child's parents and just look at the facts, in an objective manner and move forward with the investigation, (facts) would speak for themselves ! But this case has never been about an innocent 3 year old child, it's always been about her parents who have lied, manipulated and refused to co-operate with the only people with a realistic chance of finding her. All documented facts, however unpleasant reading it may make for Mr and Mrs Mccann's supporters.

Looks like thoroughly investigated dead ends are going to be spun to the media until their libel defeat is confirmed. The relentless stream of recent (non stories) planted in the media by their paid mouthpieces suggests doomsday is fast approaching. Three stories in three weeks and not (a single quote) from Scotland Yard to support them. And defeat at the Portuguese Supreme court means the words of the good old Leicester Assistant Chief Constable are as true today as they were in 2008, "The McCanns may be innocent but there is (no clear evidence) that eliminates them ." Otherwise they would have won.
Let's remember Madeleine and the 11 positive cadaver alerts and let her parents actions speak for themselves. It's never too late to allow reality to take over.
"Air support, dive, marine and (dog units) have also been involved in the hunt for Margaret Fleming". It appears police still depend on the good old canine's nose when searching for missing people. Unless it effects Kate and Gerry's reputation of course.

WOWSER!

Just 'realised'.......................................TWO (2) ''stories' rolled into one sentence!

The 'child traffickers' were THE 'bungling burglators' as well!

Now, if SY were to 'add' that 'we also believe that the 'child trafficking/bunglators' were 'smelly, pot bellied, paedos, wearing 'beer promoting t-shirts''....we'd have all 'bases' covered!

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
