Good point.
Maybe we should all get our yellow vests out of the boots of our cars and take to the streets.
Imagine all those Police Officers battering the "Yellow vests" then realising they've knocked s*hit out of each other?

Have to disagree with you there.
The more our political elites prevaricate and obfuscate the more they reveal that our democracy is just a thinly veiled sham. I believe the electorate is becoming very bloody minded indeed about Brexit now and are very determined that it WILL be implemented, come what may.  ( pardon the accidental pun) I truly believe that this country's time honoured institutes are in grave danger should the PTB seek to forcibly dilute or halt the Brexit that people voted for and they know it. I actually think the world is stirring and there could be rocky times ahead.
Do you truly believe the majority of the populace even understand the implications of Brexit?   Folk generally zone in on aspects of life that concern them directly,  not necessarily in the country's best interest or even their own.

Would you, or anyone else, wish to see a situation such as the current rioting in France?  I wouldn't - it amounts to crowd sourcing (what a menace the internet can be) leading to mass hysteria, violence and bloodshed which resolves nothing.

It's not the answer.

I think you're underestimating the general population's intelligence and understanding of the complexities of governance. ..………….. as do , seemingly, ...........the political elite .
Whilst I certainly wouldn't condone violence I can understand the frustration of an electorate which is ignored and patronised by people far removed from basic everyday travails and experiences . If no one listens, the inevitable undoubtedly will happen, whether you or I approve or not.

No, I don't think I'm under estimating anything - I'm being realistic.

If the general populace has the intelligence and/or ability to comprehend the complexity of life's intricacies, they wouldn't allow themselves to be guided by the likes of the UK's gutter press.

So what is the alternative - a government for the people by the people?

For goodness sake, folk can't even debate a serious case like the disappearance of a three year old child in a democratic civilised manner.

Government is a necessary evil.  Without there would be total chaos - like it or not.

The electorate vote but what or who do they vote for - the candidate or party they think will benefit their lives.   They only have themselves to blame if they ignore the bigger picture.

Just saw Vince Cable on tv saying that if Theresa May fails to get Parliamentary  approval fot her Brexit agreement, ''there should be another General election'' ....and wait for it....the electorate should be asked if they WANT TO ACCEPT MAY'S PROPOSAL OR REMAIN IN TH EU''
Silly me. Here was i thinking that we voted to LEAVE the EU. VINCE, It''s time for all you dictators to go. What is it with  these dinosaurs? Don't they understand the word LEAVE?
Leave means out, walk away, go, and this is what the people voted for in the REFERENDUM in 2016

...the electorate should be asked if they WANT TO ACCEPT MAY'S PROPOSAL OR REMAIN IN TH EU''
That's a bit vague isn't it - what exactly is May's proposal?  Are the people, the electorate, aware of the detail of May's proposal/s?

I'm not!  I'm only aware of what the UK media are telling me - even if you follow televised commons debate, you won't be aware of the full extent of Brexit negotiations.  Even if you were, are the majority of the electorate able to comprehend the language or the implications?  I doubt it!

Besides, it's got nothing to do with May's negotiations/proposals.  2016 referendum vote .... Remain v. Leave.  The majority voted leave so let's get on with it - eh?

It was clear from square one it would never happen in the true spirit of the referendum.  a) The politicians didn't expect the majority to vote leave b) the politicians weren't prepared for a leave vote.  They've been floundering ever since.

I expect they are planning to pull the "Ireland Trick". Keep us voting until they get the "correct" result. It worked before . . . The call for another vote on the subject MUST BE REFUSED AT ALL COST.
The Common Market, The European Community, The European Union. Drip, drip, drip. We should NEVER have let our "leaders" sell us down the river so deviously.

Politicians are bought and paid for scum - I hate them.

Not at all interested in democracy or the will of the people.

How about someone who actually really wants to leave leading the process and they come up with a proposal?

No.. we got the Theresa May scam.

Globalisation continues (followed by ultimate tyranny).

You can kiss all democracy goodbye when we get world government.

I'm all for independence across the board, no country should be controlled by another - or a conglomerate of any description.  If someone knocked at your door today and started telling you where and what to buy, what to eat, how to live, how to spend your money - what would you do?  Punch 'em on the nose I don't doubt!

All countries throughout the world should be alowed to retain their own governance, their own culture - their identity.

I'm totally opposed to interference of any description, the UK for example should be permitted to do things their way and their way alone.

Of course it will never happen.

The people know best, they are the ones living from day to day in the real world, not some artificial environment like the Houses of Parliament.  Just look how they conduct their daily lives in the cobwebs of Westminster - it's like something out of a dusty old Dickensian history book.

@ Verdi, sorry I don't know how to quote text properly.

Your post is the epitome of "I know better than you"
Who the heck are you to tell me I didn't know what I was voting for?

Do you know how many democratic votes have been held in various countries only for the establishment to tell them, "no, sorry you're not leaving the EU try again", and for there to be a follow up vote to correct the thickoes' decision.
If you are not aware the EU is owned and run by major banks and German power.  The French are stuck with it because they are scared of Germany .
We told them to do one in 1939 and we voted for it in 2016.

Sitting next to the Speaker in the House of Commons is an interesting UN-ELECTED person called The Remembrancer.

There to keep an eye on things for the City of London (Bankers).

The"Remembrancer" is the "Official who guides Parliament on the Rules,Regulations to be adhered to by the Businesses,Bankers of London, the Real powerhouse, via the Den of Inequity,House of Commons, via King or Queen of England!

The House of Commons is supposed to adhere to the "Magna Carte"Sovereign Power, which is to be sold down the proverbial swannee, Ted Heath's Conservative Government,EEC,Treaty of Rome 1957,General Election 1973?

Since 1973,all UK Governments had committed to European Union membership, then in 2016,Cameron(spoiled his underwear) held UK Referendum 2016,when David had another unfortunate soiling account, then resigned from Government.

For the past Two and a Half yrs Mrs May's Conservative Party have told the General Public, they are Leaving the European Union/Customs Union in March 2019?
Since unveiling the May, "Master Plan",the proposed Documents keep the UK tied to an "Indefinate Time period/Locked in" to the proposed European Union and Customs Union, completely opposite to What Prime minister Theresa May and her Cabinet have pontificated to the General Public!

The Attorney General Mr Cox has refused to divulge the Legal Advice given to Mrs May on Brexit, "Master Plan",now why would that be something to hide!

For the past Forty five Years all successive UK Governments have subjugated the UK to European Union directives rulings, let the people who voted in the 2016 Referendum implement that Result,Leave the EU and Customs Union, just like what all you nefarious MP's stated you would instigate, but are now Back Tracking on your words given before Parliament, which means you are in Breech of your Duties to the UK?

Political magic.

You'll like it.

Not a lot.

So next... confusion... argument..... "we need another referendum"... "vote of confidence"... "general election"... more mass immigration...

Why does anyone trust a politician?

(PS. There are some who are worthy but they are few and far between).

Mass immigration?

That's a sure fire way of ensuring that Britain loses it's true identity - still it's all good for the voting statistics.

To think people once took pride in their heritage.

The world elite want mass immigration... they want the nation as a rallying factor to disappear.

That is what is going on in Europe and in the United States.

If they get enough "socialist" immigrants they can dismantle the American Constitution via the ballot box.

Bye bye free speech (not just in the USA).

In the UK we will get Sharia Law eventually.... that is simply a matter of demographics... anyone who has looked at immigration figures and birth rates can see that.

The demographics are frightening.

We need to stand up for our heritage and culture.

Amen to that!

There is no place in Britain for Sharia law, or even EU law - Britain was once an independent nation that fought for it's identity through two world wars, are we now expected to sit back and allow foreign intervention - by way of immigration and/or leadership, to continue unabated?

How can you possibly govern a nation with differering laws to cater for one secteur against another, particularly an archaic system that cares little or nothing for human rights or even integrity?  It's a recipe for disaster.

Nothing new of course - it's been brewing for nigh on a century, if not longer.

Politics - a necessary evil, can't live with it can't live without it.

I fear we are trying to shut the stable gate after the horse has bolted. We have been seriously diluted already. "Common Purpose" brain washing conferences have churned out a strong resistance to independent thought amongst lower and medium level management. Is it too late? Hopefully not. But we need to take control back from the "Common Purpose" traitors who infiltrate every level of decision making.
If we could arrest everyone who has been on a "Common Purpose" indoctrination course that would be a step in the right direction.

So in European Union they are instigating a conference in Morocco in December 11/12 to openly stop the exposure of Immigration, making it a Criminal Offence to Report on the effects of mass immigration?

There are videos on "Youtube" from the European Union seminar, stating it will become a "Criminal act"passed by the EU to stop Reporting facts!

To all "Remain voters",is this your idea of a "Free Europe"making reporters to become Criminals by doing their job to openly report factual information to the general public?

This is why Millions of Troops from UK fought against in Two World Wars, yet less than a month ago,the MP's they where all lined up in your commemoration, now allowing Europe to decimate what you fought so Bravely for,"Freedom"from dictatorship!

Free speech is the bedrock of a free civilisation.

The EU does not believe in Free Speech.

There is only one country that 100% does and has a constitution protecting it, but there are people working to destroy that as well.

If free speech goes in America then it will get worse everywhere else.

Channel Four News Wednesday 5 Dec 2018, Campbell grinning and clasping his devilish hands in moments of glee, that his cohorts are finally turning around the Leave Vote to a now Remain second referendum?

What a vile disgusting self induced bucket of vomit he is,he is so far up himself alongside Blair Mandelson who are keeping their heads down at the moment?

They know if they pop up into the Headlines, the public vote would be against this shambolic trio who instigated the Iraq War on falsehoods,Weapons of Mass Destruction?

Come out from your underground bunker Blair,Mandelson, your Country needs to see your gleeful expressions on TV?
