I agree - particularly considering the language barrier and the fact that Woolfall was on the ground almost immediately (and conveniently for all) to deal with things.
Perhaps 2 remits (PR & Management), and 2 separate bills to pay (by Mark Warner not the McCanns) - Resonate and Bell Pottinger. Both arms of the same company needed to be seen to be doing something crucial.
Maybe Resonate were doing a PR/sales job on themselves when speaking to 'PRWeek'.
I don't deny it is all very odd - Woolfall was on his way to Luz before anyone really could have had time to assess what was going on. His early/timely arrival is inextricably linked to Resonate just having been hired on a 'generic brief' by MW, literally only the week before MBM disappeared. Had the BBC not reported a few weeks earlier on MW's childcare set up, the timing of Resonate's hiring would have looked even odder. Who knows ......

Having read some while back that Mark Warner Holidays kicked off in the 1970's, providing ski holidays for 'adults only' in a single Swiss chalet, I got to wondering why an independent UK tour operator would require the services of a top PR conglomerate like Bell Pottinger - headed by a 'Lord' no less.
Well, it would appear that since their joint venture first began they've flourished and have become a highly successful package holiday provider for the rich and sometimes famous - or even infamous. I found this rather interesting report from 2001 about the devlopment of Mark Warners, from it's humble beginnings to an award winning tour operator that prides itself on it's child care facilities whilst at the same time sticking to it's origins of catering for 30 somethings singles holidays - with or without children. Snipped...
With so much included in the basic price, these holidays do not come cheap. One father wrote MW out a cheque for pounds 22,000 to cover the six weeks that his family of four stayed in the Punta Licosa resort south of Naples last year. And there's no shortage of celebs eager to wield the plastic for the MW fortnight. Recent guests include Dawn French, Ian Hislop, Harriet Harman, Jo Wiley, Martin Bashir and Patsy Palmer.
Its clients are hardly classic package fodder. They are almost totally ABC1 and mostly in the 30 to 45 age bracket, 76% coming from professional backgrounds in southern England, often with a combined household income 'north of pounds 100,000', according to Chitty. These types spend freely in the bars and beauty parlours - one of the few things that costs real money on a MW holiday.

I wonder where the Ocean Club complex fits in with this high flying image of celebrity status - looks rather low budget and shabby by comparison. So why were representatives of Bell Pottinger called in just prior to MBM's disappearance - bugs in the lettuce?

Because "something" happened on Sunday evening/night, "something" that may have included a certain MW employee and if this came to the surface, it would mean disaster for the whole MW group.Verdi wrote:Having read some while back that Mark Warner Holidays kicked off in the 1970's, providing ski holidays for 'adults only' in a single Swiss chalet, I got to wondering why an independent UK tour operator would require the services of a top PR conglomerate like Bell Pottinger - headed by a 'Lord' no less.

Quite so! A very very big explosive 'something' - a 'something' that might shake the very core of the UK establishment.NickE wrote:Because "something" happened on Sunday evening/night, "something" that may have included a certain MW employee and if this came to the surface, it would mean disaster for the whole MW group.Verdi wrote:Having read some while back that Mark Warner Holidays kicked off in the 1970's, providing ski holidays for 'adults only' in a single Swiss chalet, I got to wondering why an independent UK tour operator would require the services of a top PR conglomerate like Bell Pottinger - headed by a 'Lord' no less.

What happened between 9pm &9am Tuesday evening to Wednesday, where was Kate?
Hi forgive me, but most posters "thesis" are of something happening to Madeleine on Sunday, 29 April 2007, Last photograph, prior to an arguido leaving the UK 30 April-1st May arrival Portugal 2007, so why the post refers to Tuesday and Wednesday, time frame would seem irrelevant, crying incident by Mrs Fenn and quiz night, as what had happened in the demise of the missing girl Madeleine McCann.
The Panorama documentary screen date was for 5 March 2008 on Mark Warner, 11 months , 3 May 2007?
The missing text messages and mysterious phone calls that were thought not to have taken place and the need to not reveal the apparent sources of the messages sent will have a huge impact on discovering the truth in this case?
