I lived in Coventry at the time she went missing and my ex husband's family lived in Bell Green, not far from where she went missing. Over the years I have followed this case and I had got to the point where I thought justice would never be served but last week the police announced that new forensic technology had gave them some new clues to work with and now 2 men have been arrested. I hope finally for her son and family that justice will be served. It gives me hope that no matter how long the McCann's will justice served on them

There have been other arrests in this case in the past; a father and son, if I recall correctly, not very long ago.

These two can't be the same people.

No, not the same people. What gives me hope this time is the fact these arrests have been because of new evidence. Also a partner of one of the men has been arrested for perverting the course of justice, so fingers crossed these are the right men

According to news updates the three people held by police have been released on police bail. I really hope there is new evidence, I cannot imagine what her poor family must be going through. I pray for an ending to this for them and while a teenage mother going missing does not get the tabloids going like middle class doctors who neglect their children and still garner sympathy, these people are innocent with a now young man who has had to grow up without a mother probably just to satisfy someone's depravity. So bugger Kate's insincere Christmas message my thoughts this Christmas will be with innocent families like the Payne's. We know why you want time to slow Kate you can feel all the strands pulling together and you and your boozy friends will be caught out

The Original suspects have been found, "Not Guilty" of involvement of the Murder of Nichola Payne from 1991, looks as though the new Scientific evidence was not so conclusive for the new prosecution?
Was this another Police Calamity with evidence that was in their control, that was lost then found?
