"Holding her, hugging her, kissing the top of her head"

Pity they didn't do that when they left her alone at night in a strange environment and when she told them she cried after them, they went and did it again. "Missing People" charity - shame on you for having anything to do with these sorry excuses for parents.

Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie

21:00, 6 Nov 2015
Updated 21:04, 6 Nov 2015
By Tracey Kandohla

Kate and Gerry McCann include her smile, her dimples, her sense of humour, her “chat” and her excitement in the festive build-up

The parents of Madeleine McCann have compiled a heart-rending list of all the things they miss about their long-lost daughter in the run-up to Christmas.

The list accompanies a picture of the couple standing at their front door in Rothley, Leics.

The photo, taken for the charity Missing People’s Home for Christmas Exhibition, is among 12 pictures of families who have missing loved ones.

The exhibition – at The Crypt in London’s St-Martin-in-the-Fields – highlights the plight of thousands of people across Britain who are living in limbo after the disappearance of a family member.

A charity spokesperson said: “These powerful images depict families standing by their front doors, symbolising the hopes and fears experienced by those desperately waiting for news.”

The picture of heart doctor Gerry and former GP Kate , both 47, is on public view until November 22. The couple, parents to 10-year-old twins Sean and Amelie, refuse to give up hope of finding their eldest child, who would now be 12.

Madeleine disappeared from a holiday apartment in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007.

Missing People’s Jo Youle said: “The exhibition will give the public the opportunity to stand with these families missing a loved one by sharing messages of support.”

"Her company"?

They didn't want 'her company' when they were dumping her in the 'creche' everyday, and when they went to the tapas, every night, without her, did they?
-------------------------------

Madeleine McCann reveals the reasons why she misses her parents, or NOT!

She misses her parents being at the Tapas restaurant, out of sight, spending 'me time', with their friends, when, (luckily?), only she was 'abducted' and not her siblings, as well.

She misses her parents not searching for her, in her hellish lair, near PDL, in Portugal, when they go there for 'libel' awaydays, against the only person that was 'searching' for her and the 'truth'

She wonders WHY her parents said there 'was nothing to implicate them', in her 'death'

She wonders WHY her parents said they 'were GLAD' the PJ 'investigation' into her 'abduction' 'was CLOSED'

She misses Cuddlecat.

She misses her pink 'blanky'

She wonders WHY her own mother said 'whether that involves re-opening the case (into her 'abduction') or NOT, IT DOSEN'T MATTER', (to her mother)

Madeleine wonders WHY her mother was at a fund raising 'bash/jolly' on bonfire night, 2015, and not in Portugal, on her hands and knees, 'searching for/looking for/ hunting for' HER!

One thing she dosen't miss, imo, is the BULLSHIT her parents and OG have 'come out with' since she was 'abducted'!

ps: I'm sure there are a lot more 'reasons' that Madeleine 'misses', or not, 'about' her parents.

They didn't miss her enough to fully co operate with the investigation.

No Kate! You didn't miss her enough to answer those questions at the beginning!
At a time when, if you missed her, it was vital to help the investigation to find her.

I wonder why not....!?
Another question you will never answer.

"Miss her company'?

The only 'company', imo, 'associated' with Madeleine, they would 'miss', is their registered, PRIVATE, limited by guarantee, no share capital, 'company', Madeleine's Fund, Leaving No Stone Unturned LTD.

Should it be 'proven' that...................

Order is important.
It speaks to what is the priority in their minds.
What is most important to them
First they miss her smile then they go through various characteristics and behaviors, lastly they miss her.

Think about it.
Ask yourself what you miss about a loved one such as a parent.

You miss them, you miss everything about them, then you list what you specifically miss about them (explaining why you miss them)

As an example i asked myself what i miss about my dad and i said i missed him, i missed everything about him, i miss his smile, his enthusiasm for life, his sense of humor, his stories and singing, his rallying, his bad luck when it came to sailing and so on.

If you look, her physical attributes come first before her character.
I wonder what they mean by "Her knowing look"?

Their priority is her physical attributes, the least important thing they miss is Maddie herself

I believe Madeleine was not treated age appropriately.

Remarks made by her parents suggest this, such as claiming she asked where they were that night.
To even be able to express that publically let alone think it would be accepted as the correct thing to do suggests this.

I was quite shocked at the video footage showing her climbing up the access steps to the plane without a parent holding her hand or even being near.

I must be the only person on the forum commenting that I don't see anything wrong with what Kate McCann has written in terms of missing her daughter.

I can find a whole load of other stuff I disagree with/question that Kate McCann has said and published.

There is a point when 'forensic linguistics' becomes laughable/gossip.

Stick to the facts.

I agree with you aquila.

Forensic linguistics and other investigative tools can be useful but should not be regarded as gospel.

If I was asked to say what I missed about someone close who was dead/missing I suspect I would come out with a list that might not be logical or always coherent from which conclusions could be drawn, but not necessarily accurate ones.

Poor old Kate can't say she misses Maddie's smell, because she immediately washed her favorite toy when she disappeared! I think it a glaring omission from the list, just as it was a glaring red flag when Kate threw CC in the washer, and then proceeded to carry it around as if it were sacrosanct.

"That knowing look" is what's written.

Distancing, I think is how Hobs describes the word.

"That knowing look" is what's written.

Distancing, I think is how Hobs describes the word.
THIS is close, THAT is distancing.

Also for there to be a THAT, there has to be a THIS.

When someone says, as an example, "i didn't do that", the response would be "What did you do?"

If  you were asked what you missed about someone, the words you speak are thought of a microsecond before you speak them.
Out of an internal dictionary of approx 25,000 you choose within a microsecond what words to use.
Your choice of words would be in order according to your priority, ie what is important to you regarding your memories.
My choice of words and thus priority would be personal to me.

The trick is to learn the subjective dictionary of the subject,  what is their normal pattern and rhythm of speech, any slang, dialect, even to their education, where they lived etc.
Learn what is their normal, when not asked sensitive questions, what they did yesterday, a holiday, let them speak freely and then once you see and know what is their normal, you can then start asking more sensitive questions regarding the event etc, again letting them speak freely, and using only their own introduced words to delve deeper.

Statement Analysis is indeed a useful tool as in it lets the subject tell us what really happened.
The subject wants us to know the truth and will eventually reveal it if you listen to what they actually say rather than what you think they said.

Unlike polygraphs which are easy to pass if the polygrapher doesn't ask the right questions or doesn't use the subject's own words ie. molest to a paedophile when to him he saw it as a tickle or a hug.
If asked if he molested the child and he said no, he would pass because in his mind it wasn't molestation, it was cuddling or tickling or other minimisation.

If though, he was asked did you touch the child, he would say yes, then questions would progress of did you touch them at a certain place,  was it over their clothes, under their clothes and so on.

Aolso, unlike polygraphs, Statement Analysis is recognised throughout the world as more reliable than polygraphs and it is also allowed in court as testimony

It's a crying shame Madeleine has been reduced to an icon commercial product by her self serving mother to raise fund for her private limited company and the charity Kate represents.

No other missing child has ever been exploited (as Madeleine has) to this low level of degeneration to marketability by their parents.

This ^^^^
The exploitation of Madeleine is unconscionable to say the least, and says so much about this whole missing child case IMO.
I wonder where we would be if the laws were set out differently, to not be able to get wealthy or make any monetary gain off the back of a missing child victim, or any other victim for that matter.
That is the reason i never contribute one red cent to any of these types of cases because in a lot of these cases that provoke public sympathy, this type of scenario is admissable, and when in most of these types of cases it turns out it is usually family involvement when a very young child is missing.
Let the state deal with it and conduct the searches etc., and the authorities get the funding to deal with it anyway, funded by the state, so why do these people need additional funds? It is profiteering of a victim and needs to be abolished as far as i'm concerned.

Kate McCann Never Less Than Dignified

Famous faces pick their person of the year

Liz Hunt, Sunday Telegraph columnist
29 Dec 2007

Kate McCann. Madeleine’s mother suffers daily the torture of knowing she should have been there for her child and has endured the agony of being implicated in her death. Yet she has never been less than dignified, and her focus on finding her daughter has not wavered. link

Takes your breath away doesn't it?

Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie %2523McCann%2BBegging%2BBucket

This somewhat less than dignified begging bowl made its appearance in Pria da Luz shortly after the McCanns disappeared their daughter, Madeleine.

And disappeared her they did, make no mistake, Madeleine McCann was not abducted. And should anybody like to argue the fact in a court of law, fine by me, bring it on. They can have their day, and I'll have mine.

Let me give you a brief analogy(?) a shorter, hypothetical version of what you will find at the link above, the essence of the thing so to speak.

Scene, any courtroom in the land.

Gerry McCann: I apologise for being late your honour, my car had a punctured tyre.

Judge: Sergeant, please check Mr McCann's car.

Anon

Sergeant: No sign of a flat tyre m'Lud.

Judge: Mr McCann, that defence may be good enough for the Home Secretary and the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, but it is not acceptable to this court. (Take him down)

For flat tyre substitute jemmied shutters. (Take him down again)

Good enough for the Home Secretary; it must be mustn't it, why else would Theresa May be in the same room as Kate McCann, let alone rubbing shoulders with the woman.

Well not quite rubbing shoulders, I think a little body language, intentional or otherwise, has come to the fore in that picture. I don't know what that says to you dear reader, but I know what it says to me?

Tut tut Theresa, Proxemics is it? Surely Kate McCann doesn't smell of her daughter's cadaver any more, it must be something else then?

Why Theresa May you might ask? Why not, it's her watch?

Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie Little%2BMiss%2BEnabler

For every vile stunt pulled by the McCanns has been at the pleasure of previous and present Home Secretaries.

I will just say one thing more then I shall move on to the offending article.

When this shabby edifice finally comes tumbling down, as it must, that much you must be well aware of, you won't for shame Home Secretary cry, "Well I never! Who'dathunkit? Not for shame you won't.

To dignity then and the offending article.

Do I really need to add my comments to this deplorable drivel?

No, I'm sure I don't, I don't think I have the stomach for it. What I might do however is borrow a tweet I spied yesterday, yes, that will suffice and I'm sure you might agree.

A LIST!!! a fucking list. I weep.

Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie Empty Re: Gerry and Kate McCann reveal the reasons why they miss Maddie

Post by skyrocket 08.11.15 15:55

@ Hobbs

These comments from GM published in 'The People' on 13 May 2007 have always stuck in my mind.

Gerry told villagers who have given heartwarming support: "We are looking forward to the day when Madeleine returns to us as a joyous one. We believe that we will see Madeleine soon and she will be safe and well and we will continue to hope."

As they left they were greeted by children holding balloons and a crowd of villagers, who applauded them.

Mr McCann told the congregation: "Today we should be celebrating the fourth birthday of our daughter Madeleine.

"Instead we have had to remember what a normal, beautiful, vivacious, funny, courageous and loving little girl that we are missing today.
"I like to think about the effects of Madeleine's abduction from us nine days ago like a tidal wave. The devastation which was tremendous was greatest for Kate and me."

GM likes his metaphors - I've always wondered if it is because it distracts from the fact that he doesn't know what he should be feeling as circumstances are not what they seem. Also, unnecessary additions/stresses - 'as a joyous one'; and the odd prioritising/use of 'normal'. Suggestions of rememberance rather than merely 'thinking of'; a reference to MBM being 'courageous'; and, of course, egotism.
