...their very own Gerry-built big swing set...!
I wouldn't say that Gerry's voice is at all commanding - is that a polite English euphemism?
I have wondered, though, if all these 'swinging about' posed photographs were taken
in an attempt to try to skew web search image results for 'McCanns swinging'?
My opinion only.

A former forum-friend of mine coined a term for it: keyword hijacking.

Re: Swinging in Rothley...?
I like the line of thinking, and i certainly wouldn't put it past team mccann to go this far, but in this case there are, I think, two semi-famous baseball players, Brian and James McCann, who take care of most images involving the key words 'Mccann swinging'
I only know this because I googled it....
Made me think though. The amount of times my wife and I swing our daughter between us like that, i never thought to ask another person to walk ahead and take a picture of us doing it. Unless it's the paparazzi, which I doubt. More like PR for 'good parenting'.

Swinging children by their arms not recommended
Nursemaid's Elbow
One of the serious risks of swinging a baby by her arms is the risk of inflicting a condition called nursemaid's elbow, according to the KidsHealth website. In this condition, the elbow joint moves out of place after being pulled. This is also called a pulled elbow, and it's one of the more common elbow injuries for little ones. While it's fairly easy for a paediatrician to pop the joint back into place, it's painful for the child and once it happens, it's more likely to happen again. In addition to swinging a young child by the arms, other common causes of this condition are jerking your child by the arm to hurry her along, or your child can even do it to herself by breaking a fall with her arm or even rolling over the wrong way in her crib.

Swinging in Rothley
Just wondering if Granny McCann's swinging partner in the first picture could be the missing Aunt Jacqeline. Quite a strong resemblance to Auntie Trish too.

Blonde lady swinging with Granny McCann...?
I think the lady to the right of the first photograph may be Cousin Lindsay Ferry :

I think Aunt Jackie may be third from the left in this picture :

I could well be wrong, though.

I have seen claims on Facebook that Michael Ferry is Gerry's mother's cousin but no proof has ever been provided.

Swinging in Lagos and Luz...

Gerry in his Dad jeans, concentrating hard on looking Dadly...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Kate's goitre apparent here.
My opinion is that mint green top is brand new -
- possibly bought from a local surf shop.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The original Solarpix caption for this had the McCanns 'staking' their children to crèche.
Amelie's shorts match her top in the above two pictures - a set -
- but bordering on the pyjama-ry, wouldn't you say?

Re: Swinging in Rothley...?
The top is a similar style, but different colour, to the one she is wearing in the "last photo".
Are Amelie's sandals similar to the ones worn by "Madeleine" in the tennis photo?

Don't think so - these are more strappy. Why didn't the Mc's put her in her trainers - she's seen wearing them in other photos. She looks like she has been dressed for tennis apart from the sandals - you'd have thought KM would have wanted her to look the part in the full gear, particularly as she had had lessons in Rothley. Always a bit dodgy running around in sandals - much more likely to trip. I know there are other questions re this photo.

Yes, agree, sandals are not good for young, growing feet.
