Today is World 'PI 'Day, after the value of 'pi', of the famous pi x r squared formula for calculating the circumference of a circle, if you know the radius.

The first five figures of pi are:

3.1415...

...today being 3rd month, 14th day, 2015.

And there'll be special moments at 9.26am and 9.26pm today because the first eight figures are:

3.1415926.

There's even a reference to 'pi' in the Bible: 1 Kings 7 v 23.

Here's someone who knows the value of pi to the first 100 digits, AND can operate a Rubik's Cube, AND can do both while balancing 15 books on her head at the same time:

If she can't replace the clutch on a Ford Transit in less than 2 hours then she is of less use to this forum than I am. Dual mass to solid flywheel convertions undertaken at no additional labour costs.

Of course the real challenge would be to solve the McCann case in 3 years whilst balancing the official PJ files on her desk. Even 30 officers at NSY couldn't manage that one.

I know absolutely zero about pi or anything to do with numbers in general.

But I suddenly got a voice saying - 8, 2 and 8.

Does this mean anything to anyone?

pi X r squared is the area of a circle, not the circumference which is pi X d (or 2 X pi X r).

Number 828 may be an indication that one door is beginning to open, and another is about to close.
