Child kidnapping statistics in UK - scaremongering or truth?

Post by aquila on 22.02.15 12:23

Huge rise in numbers of children snatched in Britain with 900 minors taken by strangers or parents in the past year

  • Number of child kidnappings in Britain increased by a fifth in the last year
  • Both kidnappings and abductions of children rose by 13% in 2013-14
  • The vast majority of abductions, 401 from 559, carried out by strangers
  • Number of children being abducted by parents was also up by six per cent
  • Figures were compiled by charity Parents and Abducted Children Together
  • They believe there is a different attitude to reporting such crimes in wake of Rotherham scandal

One of the comments - why the picture of Shannon Mathews, not abducted but hidden by her mother?  Exactly.

How many stranger abductions in Portugal since little Maddie went missing?

The latest report from another of this forum's least favourite charities is further evidence that there are lies, damned lies, and statistics.  If lies fail to convince, the latter can be used to bamboozle the unsuspecting into believing that 2 + 2 = 5 and that, being one half of 10, 5 represents a 50% increase or decrease in the amount of whatever spurious claim is being made.

559 child abductions by strangers in 2013/14? The absence of contemporary news reports alerting the public to every one of these heinous crimes suggests that those who work for the MSM were asleep on the job, but they can catch up now by perusing the pages of another charitable institution well known to this forum which has no doubt recorded all the details.  Rolling Eyes

Will these 3 be included in PACT's 2014 stats for children kidnapped/abducted by strangers?

When the article says 'taken by strangers', it doesn't say whether this is some-one acting on behalf of a parent.

I personally find the article scare-mongering . If that amount of children are being taken , why are we not being told about it -by charities such as Missing People, and the MSM?

I notice that one of the comments alludes to micro-chipping children. Not only a vile Orwellian prospect, but surely very dangerous one too.  Micro-chipping cannot prevent abduction. But it might make abductors ruthless if they are afraid of discovery.

I'm not sure why the two boys have been included in this article? Come on, let's have some age -progression sketches too, if the article is serious about finding them...

Finally, how are PACT's figures arrived at?

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
