I have said it has been in the police files from day 6. It is not a new story.Mapleleaf wrote:Petermac you stated this was investigated and cleared.
The Express article is almost a straight lift from the statement I have posted, which as you see was dated 9th May 2007
The marina was checked and the movements of boats all along the coast are documented.
S***** S****'s and her husband's name has been in the investigation for the past 7 years.
If there is anything genuinely new then the relevant authorities should perhaps have been told, either recently or at some time over the past 7 years.
Re-cycling a story which has been there, available to the the PJ, to the McCanns, to M3, to Halligen, to Edgar, and to everyone else involved in the "search", does not seem to take us much further forward without some evidence.
And the story was already running in the British press on 9th May 2007.

Police have refused to release an E-fit of the suspect only showing it to a few potentially significant witnesses.
But one witness that has seen it Algarve internet owner Simon Russell, 40, said it is nothing more than an 'egg with a side parting'.
Re: SOLVED
The other boat in the Marina that everyone got hot and sweaty about after one of Kate's friends had had a "vision" was the Shearwater.
It was established fairly easily that it had not left the marina,
since its mast is so tall that it rqeuires the swing bridge to be opened, and this had not happened during April of May

But it was a good story while it lasted

Re: SOLVED
Be comfortable in the knowledge that the the relevant authorities have all facts both PJ and Grange. I met with Ana Rito at Portimao a few weeks ago to ensure PJ were totally up to speed.
That couple were never found to this day though PJ tried to question them and found them and the boat Tropics gone.Correct or not. They were never questioned.
There was a solid reason Tropics was not on either list by the way. I showed PJ and Grange why.The boat was subsequently re-registered and named. Grange and PJ have a photo supplied by myself of it. Jim Murray was itching to see it. I only showed it to him from a few feet away when we met last Friday at 3.oop.m. at his offices for two hours.
Grange and PJ have everything on this couple but cannot act directly with the country in question. Both Rito and senior Grange Offficer confirmed directly to me they have to go via Liason officers in a completely different part of the continent in question I have been there more than once to confirm my findings.
It all fits I promise you.

Re: SOLVED
The turning up in Portugal had two purposes for me, one to distract the media away from the Portugese Inspector (sorry forgot his name) in the last day or so of the libel trial, secondly "like you" I think that time is running out because of the new election (can't see new people in wanting to help the McCanns like Cameron who was doing a favour for Rebakah Brooks) and the Met want every thing looking tidy for their denouement when they close the case to the public. It will be, going by strong hints already, that she died in the apartment by person or persons unknown (most likely under the guise of an abductee) and it will not be opened until new evidence comes forward-i.e never. The only way justice will happen is that somebody involved, whoever that may be, gets a new partner or something and unburdens themselves, and this person subsequently comes forward. There was a case in America where a little boys mother was killed and the killer was never found. Twenty years later the killer told his wife in a fit of rage "that he killed the victim" -he was then prosecuted on the verbal evidence. I feel it's by only someone breaking rank now and telling someone else- that justice will happenwoodforthetrees wrote:"it has been said many times before on this forum and others that it is pretty obvious that with the lack of urgency of Operation Grange that they are looking for a body, or in the absence of a body, they are building a case. anything else is fabricated spin from Mitchel, or maybe even Gamble"
Yes, i agree.
IMO, based on information read, discussed and very recent discussions i have had, i am now firmly in the belief that they are looking for 1 of a small number of paedophiles who operated in the area.
Also agree that OG believe she was dead before the alarm was raised and that whilst they are looking/tracking the supposed paedo, they are also unpicking the timeline of the 'child checking' to be able to prosecute others closer to the core of falsifying information, covering up the lack of checking and essentially child neglect.
All the other stories are just clearing up loose ends, closing off the 'what if's', drawing a line through any previously logged 'oddities' and streamlining everything to hopefully close the case, all with multiple media stories to line everyones pockets (IMO).
I personally do not believe it will ever be resolved. Too much of a mess and if the persecutor hasn't been caught by now, then it's unlikely they will (whether the paedo abductor or Gerry)

Also when someone feels the need to tell you what they are not, it implies that they have been considered exactly that.
You know is used to convince and convey and all indicates awareness of the interviewer/recipient.

You have the ability to type.
You have the ability to write what you said in a phone call to TB.
You have now called him a second time to correct his post as you disagree with it.
Will you then be requesting TB to further amend the amendments to something you could have written yourself about the original conversation you had and the subsequent conversation to discuss amendments?
I'm just stating the bleeding obvious - why don't you write what you say you said?

Maddie yacht mystery

A Bayliner luxury yacht is now at the centre of the hunt for Maddie
The luxury Swedish cruiser sailed out of the Portuguese harbour at Portimao on May 4, 2007, the morning after four-year-old Madeleine disappeared. It has not been seen since.
Last night there was growing speculation that Madeleine might have been whisked out of Portugal on the mystery boat.
The captain of the Bayliner yacht had told port authorities it was going to the Algarve port of Albufeira – as is required under Portuguese law – but the boat did not arrive.
Attempts by the Portuguese navy to track down the boat – one of six that left the marina that day – have failed. All the other yachts were accounted for.
A source close to the Portuguese authorities told the Daily Express: “The yacht from Sweden was the only boat that the Portuguese police could not trace.”
The disclosure comes a day after private detectives working for Kate and Gerry McCann revealed a “significant” new lead in their hunt for the missing youngster, now aged six.
An Australian woman in Barcelona appeared to be waiting to take delivery of her “new daughter” just 72 hours after Madeleine disappeared.
Lead investigator Dave Edgar, a former detective inspector, said he believed the girl from Rothley, Leicestershire, could have been smuggled to the Spanish port in a yacht.
The woman, described as a glamorous Victoria Beckham lookalike, was seen standing on the dockside of Barcelona’s Olympic Marina pacing up and down and “agitated”.
When approached, she asked a 41-year-old British man three times; “Are you here to deliver my new daughter?”
Investigators are now trying to trace the woman, described as white, aged between 30 and 35, 5ft 2in tall, of slim build and wearing expensive clothes.
It is possible Madeleine could have been abducted on the orders of a childless couple, desperate to have a family, and taken to Barcelona to meet her new “parents”.
Last night private detectives searching for Madeleine said they had received a massive response to their appeal about the Australian woman.
Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman, said: “Many hundreds of calls had come in overnight, particular from Australia.
“Some names have been put forward and all of this information is now being analysed and prioritised by the detectives,” he said.
The mystery boat had been sailing along the Algarve coast close to Praia da Luz where Madeleine disappeared.
And records show it has previously docked at Barcelona’s Marina Port Vell, next to the Olympic Marina where the Australian woman was spotted.
The Portuguese source said: “It’s possible that the boat went to Barcelona. The yacht left Portimao on the morning of May 4, 2007.
“It left saying it was going to Albufeira in Portugal. It is a legal requirement to give a destination but it did not arrive in Albufeira.
“There were six boats that left Portimao that day. All have been accounted for apart from the Swedish boat.”
In Sweden all vessels measuring over 12 metres (40ft) long must be registered with the Swedish Maritime Administration.
But inquires with their head office in Stockholm yesterday found no record of the yacht.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the McCanns’ investigators on 0044845 8384699 or email them at investigation@findmadeleine.com
A YACHT which left the Algarve just hours after Madeleine McCann disappeared has vanished without trace, the Daily Express can reveal.

Re: SOLVED
We are surely not back on the hyperspeed yacht which got from the non existent marina in PdL, or possibly Lagos, all the way to Barcelona in time for the blind drunk bank manager to hear the girl asking for her "Quarter" sorry DAUGHTER, three days later, and to report it two YEARS later.
We did this many years ago, and it was stupid and slightly boring even then.
But it had to be done to TIE it, ELIMINATE it as even a remote possibility.
Even the disgraced former Detective Edgar did not think it was worth following up, so they just spent a load of money having a jolly on the Fraudulent Fund and did not ask any questions of anyone, very much. As one of the Tabloids proved.
He said he would follow it up, but clearly did not bother.
Orders are Orders.

Hi Mapleleaf, your posts are very interesting and you seem to be well informed. I have one question for you, I would love to know just where the dogs fit in to your theory?? Remember the two cadaver dogs, Eddie and Keela. keela still works with the FBI. I am fascinated by the dogs as they solved 100% of the cases they worked on.

Morse good evening and thanks for the compliment.
I agree with you entirely re. the dogs and the blood spots also in the apartment.
Extremely compelling and there must be something there but
I have a simple focus and that is the possible recover of a child.
Just back in from and evening out and skipped over the forum dross to reply to you,
