I don't know the case, but on reading the BBC article, it appears both were homosexuals in a 'long-term relationship' with each other as well as being paedophiles who cruelly abused children.
And both murderers.
It revives the point that must be made - though there wil be howls of outrage from certain quarters - that the proportion of homosexuals who are pederasts and paedophiles massively exceeds the proportion of heterosexuals who are.
It also once again highlights what an absurd document the European Convention on Human Rights has become - despite its noble intentions after the Second Wolrd War and its limited positive achievements. The European Court of Human Rights has told us that we 'must' allow most prisoners to be able to cast their votes in elections.
In better days this sorry, evil pair - who committed a premeditated murder on a woman who wanted to report their cruelty and sadism on young boys - would have been hung.
'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, no less and no more' was IMO a perfectly sound judicial policy.
And both murderers.

It's not just two though is it?
