Jim Gamble, a staunch McCann supporter, a staunch advocate of the Winters and Goose book, and a staunch supporter of bringing 'trolls' to book doesn't think that all people downloading pornographic images of children should necessarily receive a prison sentence.

Two years imprisonment for 'trolling' (this is a made-up media term and not defined in law) is obviously ok to Jim then - but he does seem to have a vested interest in attaching himself to all things McCann - I can only surmise this because he has been so very vociferous of late in the media when there is simply no need.

Just my opinion as always.

Quite! Chloe Madeley is alive and, although she should not have to tolerate online abuse, she is quite able to fight her corner. Brenda Leyland cannot!

A load of tosh. Chloe's law indeed - another pile of poop from the media.

Remember Sarah's Law? whatever became of that?

Will we have Gerry's law soon?

GM: "Bernie, i want some of OUR 'Maddie Cops' to arrest and charge a nasty twitterer........NOW!"

BHH "what did the person say?"

GM: "well i 'heard', from our media monitor, because Kate and i don't actually have a twitter account, that somebody wanted to give both of us 'a good fonging' and that's just 'wrong' and 'offensive' and 'abusive' isn't it?

BHH: "er, not really"

GM: "Get that person arrested now, Howe, I want that person in court and made an example off. Kate and I pay your wages!"

BHH: "what exactly is 'fonging'?"

GM: " I dunno, but it sounds scary, and disgusting, and life threatening, and all that other stuff we said in the media last week, i'm so scared of getting a 'fonging'

BHH: "Call Mahogany at er, Operation Grange, whatever that is. I can't remember"

GM: " I'm gonna tell Theresa and David about you not doing exactly as Kate and I have instructed you to do!"

Two year sentences for Trolls - Page 2 Empty Who would get the job ?

Post by The....truth on 19.10.14 12:30

Well, who could say. It is a very important job after all.

I would gamble that some one would step forward.

And if he doesn't get appointed I would recommend Jean Monroe. Tactful and discreet !!

The author, John Grisham, agrees with the above.  Article in last week's Telegraph:

Gamble's at a loose end!

Perhaps when he becomes, self appointed, TROLL FINDER GENERAL, the first person he'll go after is his fellow pro  McCann 'supporter' the 'life threatening' Cindy Martin! (surely? Would have to be top of his list, wouldn't she?)

Here is one of my problems with the current law:

Frankie Boyle posts "sick" Twitter jokes. Lots of complaints and tabloid headlines, but nothing done.

Average Joe on Facebook posts "sick" jokes: Gets 12 weeks in prison.

Noone should be put off from discussing the case, as we do.  There's no problem in doing that . We dont threaten and we dont abuse - we just discuss the case as we understand it and we question it. We must continue this.

Now think they're living high and dry....but it's clarence clear to most that this is a gambol. (unquote) big grin

I did read yesterday that the man that Grisham "defended" has turned round and said he did deserve jail.

These are very crazy times, but these people can be voted out and if it carries on like this for much longer there will be people who will start standing against them as independent candidates and one of them will get my vote for sure.

Have the ST done it again ?

I think that naughty ST is fishing to see who'll bite. Afterall £50k isn't that much for them in the grand scheme of things (or I wouldn't have thought so). Possibly worth an out of court settlement or too for the sake of catching a gerryfish. All in my opinion of course.

I listened to the Grisham article on tv. He suggested that any visits to child porn sites were clumsy, fumbling acts of drunk men who had pressed a few wrong buttons on their keyboard.

Will be worth watching to see if ST are made to apologise or money paid out again.

I may have missed something but has anyone yet to see a correction by Mr. H-Howe ref. his comments on the  radio show?
