76-year-old Briton to be extradited - possibly linked to McCann case
A 76-year-old British national, who was living in Gozo, will be extradited to the UK where he will serve time for the sexual assault of a girl aged under 13.
Roderick Macdonald, who was living in an apartment at Ta Cenc, consented to be extradited this morning before Magistrate Audrey Demicoli.
He was arrested by the Malta police in the whereabouts of Sannat yesterday.
Roderick Macdonald – who also used the surname Robinson – is also wanted by UK police who believe he can shed light on a paedophile ring possibly linked to the abduction of Madeleine McCann, according to UK tabloid newspapers Daily Mail and the Mirror.
Madeleine McCann has been missing since May 2007. She disappeared during a family holiday in Portugal as her parents Kate and Gerry were eating in a near-by restaurant
The Mirror reported that Mr Macdonald was in Algarve when the three-year-old vanished in 2007.Scotland Yard detectives chasing new leads in Praia da Luz where Madeleine went missing wanted to quiz him about paedophile rings in the area in 2007.
Police were investigating 18 possible linked break-ins at Algarve villas by a lone intruder from 2004 to 2010.The attacks stopped in 2010, at around the time Robinson was deported from Portugal to Australia for raping an eight-year-old girl there, the Mirror reported in May.
Within weeks of his release the former oil rig worker fled to Thailand but three months later he was deported back to Britain after Thai authorities found out about his past.
He moved to south coast resort Brighton where he was made to sign the sex offenders register but in 2012 he was given a suspended prison sentence in 2012 for abusing five- and seven-year-old girls in Brighton who bore a resemblance to Madeleine, the Mirror reported.
Mr Macdonald appeared in court in Malta this morning under arrest on the strength of a provisional arrest warrant issued by the courts after the UK judicial authorities requested his extradition "to serve a term of imprisonment of sexual assault of a female under 13 years of age".
A European Arrest Warrant had been issued against him on April 25, 2013, by the Lewes Crown Court in East Sussex
Police Inspector Mario Cuschieri prosecuted.

He's British, and his punishment for raping an 8-year old is deporting to Australia?

Hang on.. this is Roderick Robinson.

Somehow I don't think that is an honest take on the story.

I'm struggling to find details of the Brighton "Captain Rod" case.

How do you get a suspended sentence for abusing a 5 and 6 year in this day and age?

When did Robson move from New Zealand to Portugal?

I've been tryin to follow his story on the net, it's not clear.

A Thai news agency said it was 2010 and was arrested/deported in 2010.

Pattaya, officers organised the apprehension of foreign child abuse offender, Mr. Roderick William Robinson, 73, of British nationality. Pol. Col. Shusak Phanatamphorn remarked that Mr. Robinson committed numerous sexual abuse offences on a girl on 14th February 1988 in England then escaped to stay in Australia. Later, on 16th January 1989, he again sexually abused a child and was arrested by Australian police. After obtaining bail, Mr. Robinson absconded to hide in New Zealand where he continued to offend repeatedly before escaping to hide in Portugal in 2010.

The sleight of hand in this article is sickening.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/madeleine-mccann-latest-police-hunt-3493850

Nowhere does it say Robinson was in Portugal in 2004 (I don't think he was).. but..

Scotland Yard detectives are currently investigating 18 possible linked break-ins at Algarve villas by a lone intruder between 2004 and 2010. Six have come to light since an appeal by UK detectives last month, with five of those involving alleged sex attacks on British girls.
Overall, nine of the 18 break-ins involved assaults on British girls, aged six to 12. Three took place in Praia da Luz.
The attacks stopped at around the time Robinson was deported from Portugal.

How do these people (journalists) sleep?

So, right now, we're back to Madeleine may have not left the apartment alive, to, she was taken by a p and didn't wake up screaming in his arms? She mustn't have cause someone would've heard her. A nearly four year old certainly would have woken up in a strangers arms whilst being carried out into the cold air imo

Or, OR, perhaps there was a phone booth outside OC where he could transform into "Crecheman, Tannerman, George Harrisonman, posh spicy, Hewlettman, Smithman, Charidyman, Sunglassesman, Swedishman, Swarthyman, Longhairedman, Shorthairedman, Caring couple man, Tractorman, Taximan, Busdriverman,Potbelliedsmellyman, Spottyman, Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney, ( NOT 'related' to Pamela Gurney) Peter Davy, Daniel Whiddon, Harry Hawke, and Old Uncle Tom Cobley and allllllllllll."

Who in their right mind would think that an abductor would abduct a dead child? Good grief, talk about grasping at straws in this sick little Whodunnit BS. If it wasn't so damn sad that this all revolves around the disappearance of a 3 yr. old it would be one of the biggest jokes of the century. Talk about a comedy of errors, why don't they give it up already, this is getting more than ridiculous IMO.

Exactly, OG hints that a burglar could've taken her and she may not have been alive! Seriously.

Yes, there we have it.
The details about this phone booth can be found in the "missing files".

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
