That has been done for a very important reason. It could unlock this entire mystery if we could only find out what that was. nod

I know that the Census is always sealed for 99 years to protect the privacy of the individuals listed in it.

Isn't the title of this thread a bit discourteous to Professor Gerald McCann?

Surely we should be referring to him by his new title, 'The Professor'?

It's a very well earned title as for over nine years he has professed all sorts of things - except, of course, whether he had previously known Robert Murat

I think you were right though Tony when you said that OG would not be interviewing Maddie's parents during their investigation. If there was a hint that OG wanted to interview him I do not believe that he would have been successful in his application for Professor or at least it would have been put on hold. IMO of course.

Another case of actions speaking louder than words?

Seriously,what is so secretive for the Leveson inquiry to put in effect a D notice with regard to Gerald McCann,is he(GMc)a secret agent working for MI5/6, the "Establishment" certainly don't want something to be aired to the public,what are they afraid of,being found out?

He's a professor - not a confessor.

Perish the thought of having such an egotist fiddling about with ones heart - some might question if he even has a heart. Clearly the medical profession still have faith in his innocence until proven guilty - I seriously wonder if his position had any PR repercussions for the hospital. I don't think I would be too happy to see his mug at the foot of the hospital bed, I'd be after a second opinion before getting the first.

The documentation submitted by Gerry to support his Written Submission, referenced as "Exhibit GM1, GM2 and GM3 to W/S of Gerald McCann" (http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r...) were never publicly available at the original site, I can only imagine those documents were submitted to substantiate what he stated in the written form. Those documents can be a number of things, from press cuts to something of a more legal nature, like using the injunction to GA's book, who knows? They abusively used the injunction which had only validity for those targeted in it (GA and other defendants) and in Portugal for a myriad situations, like attempting to close Pamalam's sites or remove books from Amazon site (http://joana-morais.blogspot.pt/.../kate-and-gerry-mccann...), in order to give credence to their claims.

As I said on another thread I post links to information to get people discussing it. Sometimes the information is right, sometimes it's wrong. But isn't that what forums are for - to get to the truth of what is posted on the internet? Seems it's ok for them to post information on their forum that they get from the internet (that might not turn out not to be right).

But, anyway, thank you Andrew for helping solve this particular mystery thumbsup
